I have been a long time Big O Tires customer. I lived in Folsom for a number of years, and couldn't be happier with the service from that shop. The pricing was always better than most places , and the customer service was top notch. When I moved to the Gilroy area, I have called this shop in Morgan Hill on a few different occasions , and have been disappointed every time, My latest experience was a disaster. The phone rang and rang and rang. It took 3 attempts to finally get someone on the phone. When I finally did get through, the girl on the line was rude , not helpful at all and hung up on me. I decided to give this place another shot and asked to speak to the Manager. This " "Manager" was no better. I found this gentleman rude on the phone with absolutely no customer service skills. He quoted a ridiculous price for a set of tires and blamed it on the tariffs. Are we still using that as an excuse? Why not blame Covid 19 or Y2K while you are it. I am done with Big O Tires! This location is ran horribly. I went with America's Tire in Gilroy instead ,and had a way more satisfying experience. read more

Honestly I thought Big O tires had their stuff together but when I took my car for an oil change, my washer got replaced with a piece of shit plastic piece. If this broke, my oil would have leaked out everywhere and potentially would have costed me a new engine. Their tire mechanic also did not know how to turn off my TPS sensor and it gave me a worry when I was driving because it kept turning on. I will never take my car here again and I would encourage you all to look for another place or independent trusted mechanic to take care of your cars. read more

I called Big O because my tire light was on. They told me that I could not schedule an appointment and that there was a two hour wait for service on tire repairs. I drove the car over to Big O and a female assistant told me 2 and 1/2 hours . I said okay and she filled out an invoice for $60. She walks out to my car as I am scheduling my Lyft and informs me that Big O can't fix the tires because they are too old and I need tires all around. She asks me if I want a quote for 4 tires and I say absolutely not. She hands me my key back. (Did not even offer to look at my initial problem or provide me air for the tire.) Remember I came in for a tire light because my tire was low and I wanted them to look to see if I had picked up a nail. Talk about upselling and not providing any customer service. I don't mind waiting but please let the customer know how long the actual wait is so we can plan accordingly, not everyone has the luxury just to stand around for 4+ hours. Service has really gone downhill. I frequented this location many times over the years and the service had always been great and welcoming. Much has changed since my last visit. Immediately had a very unwelcoming reception as I came in. When I returned to pick up my car it was more of the same. Stood at an unattended front desk and had a couple workers walk in but no acknowledgment or asking if I had been helped until the 3rd guy finally asked and said he would get someone. Would understand if they were busy, but just noticed many of them out chatting amongst themselves. Finally got help, but nothing informative about the alignment that was done. Usually they give me some information on the finding and service. I'm due for new tires as well, but would rather take my business elsewhere. I had a really frustrating experience with Big O Tires last Monday the 23rd of February. I booked a 12:00 PM appointment for an alignment on a 3rd gen Tundra after my boyfriend installed a 3" lift. I arrived about 15 minutes early, and only after signing the paperwork was I told the technician had just gone to lunch. I was then told the wait would be 2-2.5 hours. If no technician is available, I don't understand why the system even allows a 12 PM appointment -- especially when other time slots are blocked off. I waited over two hours with zero communication. No one called me to ask questions, clarify anything about the lift, or explain what was going on. When I checked back in, I was told they were "having difficulty making adjustments," but again, nobody reached out to clear up any confusion. The invoice had my boyfriend's phone number listed (since it's his truck), and no one contacted him either. It wasn't until around 4 PM, when my boyfriend came in upset, that they finally started asking questions. In the end, they didn't even complete the alignment, left multiple warning lights on the dashboard, and told us to take the truck to a dealership -- yet still charged us. This was a huge waste of time and money, with extremely poor communication and organization. Appointments should mean something, and basic updates shouldn't have to be pulled out of staff. I was there to fix a flat tire. Check in was promptly done. I was made comfortable with some nice coffee. In 20 min, I was told they didn't find anything to fix as the tire didn't have a puncture. All the tires air pressure was checked and the car was ready to go! BTW, no charges since the fixed nothing and air is free!!! read more

Big O Tires? More like Big O Mess. I came in for a simple car battery replacement. How hard could that be, right? Apparently, for Big O Tires, it's a full-blown saga. They charged me twice -- once without the coupon, and again with the coupon (the one I actually signed). Two separate charges for one job. I noticed it a couple of days later on my credit card and called right away. Their response? "It should clear on its own in a week." Sure. Because that's totally how billing errors magically fix themselves. A week later, nothing. I called again -- they said they'd "look into it" and call me back. You can guess what happened next: no call. I called again, and this time they told me I'd have to come into the store with my credit card. So I did. They couldn't process the refund because -- wait for it -- their internet was down. I was told to come back another day. A few days later, I came back again. Still couldn't refund it back to my card. They finally wrote me a check (yes, an actual paper check), but even that took them forever to hand over. Not once during this whole ordeal did anyone apologize. No one seemed remotely sorry or helpful. Just blank stares and "come back later." No courtesy, no urgency, no accountability -- nothing. In the end, I spent more time getting my refund than it took to replace the battery in the first place. If you enjoy being double-charged and ignored, this is the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the headache and go anywhere else. read more

Terrible service. The fat guy with glasses and girl that work there are super rude and don't even say hello. I showed up at 8:15 am and they open at 8 and nobody showed up until 8:30. When he finally showed up, he didn't say good morning or sorry for keeping u waiting. But he did say good morning to 1 of the workers who was waiting for him. I made the mistake of buying the warranty on my tires. All 3 times I took my car to get tires patched and they take forever and don't even communicate or call you. They say 1 hour but it takes 6 and they don't even tell you if they have your tire in stock. I called twice and didn't get a call back. When they finally answered after 3 hours they said they hadn't looked at my car yet. When they finally got back to me they said my tire wasn't covered under warranty. I shouldn't have come here to get my tires replaced judging by the reviews but I was suckered into it and paid for it with my time and money. One of the sensors on the tires they replaced was damaged and the following day I have a "malfunction, visit dealer" message. So, I did, I made an appointment with the dealer and paid $450 for it. Okay, I know now that is a ridiculous price to pay for a sensor but I did, nothing I can do about it now. I came to the manager of Big O Tires and he does not want to take accountability saying that the dealer didnt change the sensor. What? He was trying to say I was scammed by the dealership. NO, I was scammed by you first. He said his people didnt make any mistakes and isnt doing anything about it. I am contacting the BBB because scam companies like this will do a shit job to take your money and push you out the door. After swearing off this tire shop I had coilovers put on my 2018 Maxima by a local mobile mechanic. The guy that installed them adjusted them so that they were almost as low as they could possibly go. My car looked ridiculous. I just wanted to lower it a bit not turn it into a lowrider. I was in a panic to get the car fixed but a couple of the other shops in town were busy and couldn't fix my car that day. I drove past Big O on my way home and thought maybe I'd give them a second chance. After discussing the specifics with the techs there I got the coilovers adjusted how I wanted them. Of course the car had to be aligned after that so they did that for me as well. All for a pretty reasonable price. After getting the car home though I noticed that my new rims, (only about 2 weeks old), had what appeared to be scuff marks on each wheel. I knew I had not caused this damage. I brought the car back and the manager Juan had one of the guys fix up my rims with some metal polish. Only took about 20 minutes and my rims looked like new again. I guess the lube that they put on the alignment sensors must have dried on my rims and made the scuff marks. I've been back since to have my tires rotated and while I was waiting I saw Juan deal with many customers and he was always friendly and helpful. I saw him help one customer with checking the tire pressure in their tires and giving them some help without charging the customer anything. Juan seems to truly be concerned with customer service. This Big O location certainly seems to be better than it was previously. read more

They charged me for someone else's car! This worker named Leon Vasquez gave me someone else's keys and paperwork and said, "Here ya go." He gave this other customers' personal info, address, phone number, and car keys! They're lucky I said I'm not that person! And he also charged me for my car and this person's car. If I didn't say anything, I'd be up by two cars. They told me that the money would be refunded into my account. It did not. Called and then told me I had to come in person to get it refunded, which I had to. They gave me the paperwork with the strangers' info AGAIN as part of my refund?? Don't go here unless you want other customers to know your full name, phone number, or address AND your car keys. July 24 ,2025 in the afternoon I was released from the Veteran's Hospital in Palo Alto Ca. for knee replacement surgery. Going home to Fresno Ca. The traffic was well Bay area traffic "Heavy". We were on Hwy 101 South near Morgan Hill when low pressure tire light came on. We found Big O Tires shop at 15745 Monterey Rd. Morgan Hill Ca. and requested service, maybe fix a flat tire. The techs found no flat and for $40.00 checked the air pressure of the tires and told me that we may have a bad TPMS sensor. The light stayed on all the way home and still is Today Aug. 11,2025 I was able to get out and check the tire pressure, First the spare tire was 12lbs, Why didn't they check the spare? 3of the tires were at 35lbs. and the front passenger side tire was 40lbs. I have no problems paying for service but SADLY this was a waste of time and money. Automatic $40 for 3 years coverage on 1 tire just replaced due to sidewall damage under warranty purchased at the time all 4 tires were purchased. 3. At first when I came to Big O Tires the customer service was great there was a guy named Israel that helped me with all my car needs and really worked with my schedule. Now when I come to the shop there's so many mishaps even if I have an appointment they try to say "well we don't go off appointments were a first come first serve basis" which I feel is understandable if you DO NOT have an appointment but if you do I feel it should be prioritized. Unfortunately appointments are not prioritized. Last week I went to Big O Tires so many times through appointments and not because I wanted to but because they couldn't get the job done the FIRST time. I already spoke to corporate and the manager of Big O Tires about how my last several visits were disappointing and I had many reasons why leading up to my last straw. Today I book an appointment for 4 PM because it's the most convenient time for me to drop my car off for whatever I need, with that being said the shop closes at 6 pm and you'd think 2 hours is enough time for just one wheel mounted and an alignment but no. My car was parked in the same spot it was dropped off in for 2 hours and not once was my car moved into the shop to be worked on nor did anyone think to call me and tell me that they did not have time to work on my car AT ALL TODAY! Matter of fact no one ever called me at all to come pick up my car yet they have time to put the roll up doors down for closing and the associate working at the front has time take photos of his car by the roll up door while my fiancé went inside to see what was taking them so long to call us to come pick up the car and this was at 5:57 pm. Finally after the associate was done with his photos he comes inside to tell my fiancé that he's sorry we're having so many inconveniences each time we visit the shop with an appointment but that even if we have an appointment they still don't go by appointments cause they are a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS and that we're going to have to come earlier or take a day off work so that they can get the job done. the main thing I'm not understanding is how am I even able to book an appointment for Big O Tires in Morgan hill when they don't go by appointments as the associate said? In that case I shouldn't even be able to book an online appointment at all if that's how the store operates. My second biggest concern is that when my car was dropped off if they didn't have the TIME to actually WORK on the car they should've said something then instead of wasting my time or at least CALL ME LATER ON to tell me nothing can be done for you today sorry. BUT NO I GET NO PHONE CALLS WHAT SO EVER. I had to wait 2 hours and send my fiancé inside for them to tell me they WASTED MY TIME and come again like I've been doing all last week and the beginning of this week! They have an appointment page online which the guy at the desk told me when I got here it doesn't hold your place it's a suggestion so when I came at 3 it's like a walk in and would be an hour wait for tire rotation. I swore off this place two years ago when they failed to replace the plate on my Mercedes and when I tried to drive out of the parking lot it made weird sounds immediately came back and they told me that's what it sounds like. After another guy did a loop on Monterey rd and told me it was a new guy who didn't know how to bolt it back I right. The plate was damaged and I ended up having to have it just removed. This place is awful glad the customer service ruined my intention of coming here because I tried to give them a second chance and they proved the better of my decision.
