Everyone who drives a car needs a reliable mechanic, right? But to find an awesome one? That's almost like finding a unicorn. Turns out, there's a unicorn in Morgan Hill. I needed a tire replaced and mounted after the rim on my Ford Explorer Sport was repaired. Junior ordered a tire for me, it arrived the next day, and he made time in his busy schedule to take care of it while I waited. He could not have been nicer or friendlier. We chatted the entire time while he fitted the tire onto the rim, balanced it, and reinstalled it onto the SUV. He's a local boy, second generation owner and clearly cares about his customers so that speaks volumes. Turns out they handle everything from imports, to tractors, to custom cars. I got into a car accident on my way from SF down to Santa Barbara. I looked up an auto repair shop and to my disappointment the one I had Google'd was closed. But, Star Motor was just next door and open. I ran in panicked, and a nice woman, Raquel I think, calmed me down and called her dad Jose out to take a look at my car. He checked out my entire car, inside and outside, and explained how the fender bender damaged the inside of my hood. Not only did Raquel and her dad calm me down, assure me that my car would take me safely the rest of the drive to Southern California, but Jose even took a rubber mallet and banged a couple things back into place for a smoother, safer drive. These folks were so nice and generous and the entire thing took maybe 15 minutes. With the supply chain backed up, I wasn't able to get my car properly fixed for another month, but Jose's quick fix carried me through no problem. So appreciative of this sweet family-owned business. I had my Land Rover towed into their shop on May 28th for a oil pressure issue. over the next 3 weeks they never once called me so I made it a point to either call or stop by weekly to see their progress and was told that "dad" would look at it tomorrow. Finally on June 21st I got the call that the Head Gaskets were leaking and that would be expensive to fix. When I went in to pick it up it cost me $105 and there was a nice dent in the driver side passenger door. They change the oil in my diesel RV. They told me they couldnt get the new oil into the filler tube saying the hose is too long. The RV had numerous oil changes in the past with no issues. Charged me a $105.00 to shorten the hose then came to find out they didn't have the rv on level ground: Unbelievable and unreliable. Never did make it right with me so they will not get my business. read more

The experience here from start to finish was excellent. I worked with Jose from the initial phone call to order my tire to the following week when I took my car into get it changed. I had an unfortunate event happen to me with my old tires... another tire shop in San Jose had put on used tires (dangerously old) while charging me for new tires. Unbeknownst to me I was driving around with them for years, risking my safety. They got really tore up in a short amount of time so a mechanic informed me I was sold old tires. Fantastic and friendly service. I pulled in to get a tire plugged with very short notice and no appointment and was taken care of in no time. I had a screw in my front tire that I thought would need repair, but it turned out to be only partially through the tread and wasn't leaking. The gentleman that helped me (wish I'd gotten his name) was very honest and removed the screw without charging anything! He didn't rush me and was very friendly.
