This place is the best! I needed a tire fast and discount tire was being way pushy and wanting to charge me a crazy amount for a single tire. If you're a woman and don't know much about tires then I highly recommend not going to discount tire in Pocatello they will try and take advantage of you . I then called big o tire from discount tires parking lot and spoke to the owner. I told him I was in a hurry to get out of town but needed a new tire. I told him what discount was trying to charge me and he said ridiculous come here instead and He quoted me a way cheaper deal same tire and got me in right away . I've been to big o tire three times since then and have bought 3 tires now. They actually care and help people . They do not try to rip you off or take advantage . I took my truck in for a new carburetor they had it for 11 Days and tried 5 Different carburetors before they found the right one they quoted me $800.00 when I went to get the truck they charged me $1,200 and said I need a new Battery I did not because it sat for so long when I took the truck home it had a ruff idle when I went back they never Adjusted the carburetor right and didn't have the right screwdriver to tune it the mechanic said its the spark plug wires and the plugs witch is wasn't I took it to a real ASE Mechanic to tune my truck and it runs like a top never going back to to Big O For nothing !! I can not say enough about this store and the employees. Isabella is the manager, and for my first truck, she fitted me with a good deal and timely service. Then I went back for my SUV new tires all around and an alignment. Isabella called to follow up on status, and I was impressed. But nothing prepared me for the exceptional service. Commitment to customers as when one of my new tires got a nail in the sidewall. I had not purchased a warrantee. I took it to Big O on a Saturday for a new tire because they could not repair the nail hole. Not only did they order a new tire for me, but they were able to reduce the cost of a new tire so significantly I was just blown away. I can not recommend this location enough for their true commitment to their customers. Understand, these guys work hard, and sometimes there is a little wait, but the truth is they back up what they do, and they back up their products. I will be a loyal customer for a very long time. I came into big o. I needed an alignment. They did a horrible job! They were aligned tilting in. I blew a tire on the interstate because of it! And now our back tires look the same. That was the whole reason I wanted one done. I have attached photos of what the tire looked like after. You can obviously see how misaligned they were. We made a 9am appointment a few days ago, and took our truck in this morning. We were told two hours. We have called numerous times and were told "it's next in line" each time. What's the point of an appointment? It's now 340pm. I finally called (again) after being told at noon it would be one more hour and was immediately put on hold. After 10 minutes it kicked me to a voicemail. I called back and was immediately put on hold again for another 10 minutes, and again it timed out and threw me to voicemail. After the third time as soon as he answered I told him NOT to put me on hold and was instantly told "were doing the best we can.". I asked in regards to what, at which point he asked why I was calling?? He told me he'd be right back, and got back on to tell me the truck was finished and to come get it. My husband hasn't even gotten back home with it yet, but I can tell you that after this level of customer service (?) we will go elsewhere next time. Update: he got there and they did a service we didn't ask for, and did not do it alignment that we did. I will say the owner have him 50% off to come back tomorrow to have it done which was nice read more

Funny thing is I used to like them a lot few years and almost 50 000 miles ago. I am just talking about the tire center don't let me talk about their credit card services outsourced God only knows where and who have very limited knowledge about any decent customer service. I just remember they used to offer some mail-in rebates and one could had saved like $150.00 or so on a set of 4 brand new tires. When the time came to update the tires I decided to try to give them my business again. I was fairly sure of what I wanted, just tried , you know, to shop around and to compare the options that were available. A $150 or $200 dollars saved means $150 or $200 earned, right? But...time is always precious and has value I called them at least 4 times attempting to inquire about local options in the middle of the day and none of my calls were answered. I gave up and at least few of my local friends told me I made a good choice by giving my business to Les Schwab as usual. read more

For a franchise that usually does decent work, I have had a lot of terrible experiences with this branch. A while ago I decided I would like to buy a set of Toyo tires. I went to Big O because they are able to get Toyo tires and spoke with a gentleman who was polite and got the size I wanted ordered. After having them installed I was told that I had a tie rod and a wheel bearing out and that my truck needed an alignment by a lady at the front desk. However, the truck that these tires are on is my weekend trail rig and I had recently done front end work and everything was fine. I went home, jacked it up, and did a front end inspection. Everything was perfectly fine. I went back in and spoke with a lady who was very rude. She told me that her technicians knew what they were doing and that if I didn't want to get it fixed they would refuse me a warranty. I knew the truck was in alignment and decided to just go home. A few months later, I added some lift to the front of the truck, which means it is out of alignment. I reluctantly went in and asked for an alignment and waited patiently. A few minutes later the lady came back and said that the parts they stated need replaced had not been replaced and informed me that if they were to continue that I would still be charged full price for an alignment even if it was not aligned correctly. I explained to the lady that the parts were not bad and the only issue was a very small leak on the rack and pinion and asked if I could ask the technician who performed the inspection. She nodded at me and said that he was busy. The initial alignment inspection sheet showed that the vehicle was very close to being aligned, so I told her to have the technician finish aligning it. When the alignment finished I was printed out an invoice that stated the "rack and pinion needs replaced, tie rods are bad, wheel bearing is bad" and the alignment sheet to go with it had no differences. The lady informed me that I would still be charged and that because I had not replaced the parts and the vehicle was out of alignment that I would not be able to receive a warranty. At this point I just wanted to leave. When I went to get my vehicle the technician that performed the work had my keys. I stopped for a minute and talked to him. He was very reasonable. He told me that a jam nut on my tie rod was seized and that the other cam bolts were within spec so he put it back together. He told me that he told the front desk lady that the rack and pinion was leaking and that the tie rod has a seized nut. I told him that I was charged full price for an alignment. He apologized and stated there was nothing he could do. At this point I was pretty upset. The technician expressed exactly what the issue was, and it was put down on the invoice as something it was not by someone who clearly did not understand that those issues do not affect alignment. All I was trying to do was get an alignment and have my warranty honored. I went home, broke the seized jam nut loose on my own, and finished the alignment in my driveway. Months later and the tires are fine, why, because the parts that I was told "had to be replaced" at the front desk were not actually bad. It seems that this location has some employees who are good, and other who think their customers are unknowing and want to over charged those who don't know any better. read more

I've been going to Big O for the past 2 years. They have proven to be very credible and dependable. They have been accommodating and taken care of my vehicle needs whether it be a tire leak or a new set of snow tires. They have a very curtious staff who are always pleasant to deal with. Their prices beat Costco and Les Schwab hands down. Office manager, Isabel, goes out of her way to get the proper tire for my rig. I highly recommend this store to all. read more

This tire shop is great, the people are very easy to work with. They have fixed slow leaks in my tires due to running over nails and other things more than once. If you drop off your vehicle for a tire change they will get it done within a couple of hours. They've fixed my breaks and are always friendly. Their prices are very fair, I never feel "over charged". read more

They are really bad! Ordered a tires and told it will arrive Wed. On Wed I called them they gave me apologize and told me come tomorrow. The next day i got the same thing. I called them to give me the tracking number for my order but they did not, they do not give it to you so you can't know when your tires will arrive. Also, i called them couple times before wed asking for the tracking number and told that my name is not even in the system!! And no order was me to me!! How bad is that! I really do not recommend this place. It is my last time here. I will told all my friend about this so they do not go and have a bad service with just an apologizes. I went there Saturday 8/4/12 within 10 minutes of closing with a flat tire. I was refused service and was told to come back Monday. When I came back Monday 8/6/12, I left the tire at the shop around 11:45, went to lunch and returned around 1:15. When I arrived the lady went to look for my tire and when it was found, it still was not done. The shop worker said if I could give him 3 minutes it would be done. I replied with, "You have had it for almost 2 hours". 5 minutes later the tire was fixed and I was on my way. I am glad I didn't buy my Big O tires from them. I saw that the last review was 2013. We moved to the area last year and previously went to another tire chain, but they did not have a store in Pocatello. After going to ALL the tire stores in town, my husband decided on BIG O. The service has been exceptional and the prices very competitive. When we had a slow leak on our trailer, they fixed it and even found tires for our ATV. The snow tires recommended by the owner were even beyond his recommendation. They were (in the winter) the best tires for the winter weather that we have ever had. Thank you for that recommendation. They also took them off and put our road tires back on in the late spring. Yes, once we had a delay for speciality tires we had to wait until the truck from Utah could deliver them. Yes it was a day late, but weather played a factor. These are new owners, so I do not believe the previous reviews are valid. 5 star service... And we can go to any BIG O in any state in case of an emergency tire repair.. read more

I used Big O for new tires for the first time this week. My tires had to be ordered, so on Thursday I went in and paid half for the tires. Dropped the car off this morning and received a phone call that my tires had never been ordered. As I was preparing to go get my money back, they called back and had found tires for my car at another location and they were going to get them. 5 hours later, I got my new tires. No discount for the inconvenience, and a few apologies was all i got. That was my first and last experience with Big O. The employees were nice and they did go the extra mile to get me my tires. But I expected that they would have been ordered when I paid for them. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a tire shop in my life! I purchased a set of tires and rims through a private party about three months ago; they came with a set of lug nuts that are a 7 star pattern. With the deal came a 7 star lug socket. That was the only way to remove the tires being that a normal tire iron will not fit. I had the tires balanced at big o. They asked for the adapter to take the tires off. Not only did they not return the adapter to me, they lied to my face about putting it back in my tool box. Three months later I still have no lug pick and no way to remove my tires. Do not ever go to big o! They will do nothing but treat you like crap, lie to you, and take your tools! read more

Wanted to buy an Interstate battery. Not in stock so they offered to order it for delivery the next Wednesday. No contact so I called Thursday at 4 PM. No battery; they promised it would arrive Friday. No contact so I stopped by Friday at 4 PM. No battery; they promised to get it that evening and have it first thing Saturday morning. They called 8:15 AM to say no battery but it would arrive by 11:30. No contact so I stopped by at 2 PM. No battery; they said it was now across town and would arrive in 20 minutes. They called 3PM to say they had a battery, but not the one I ordered. I give up. Buy your battery somewhere else. read more

I have had nothing but bad experiences with my dealings with Pocatello, Idaho Big O Tire Shop. I purchased Big Foot 60000 warranty tires for my SUV about 17 months ago. At the time I made the purchase before the tires were installed, I as handed an estimate sheet and told that my car needed about $900 worth of work including an Alinement. I told them that I have a personal mechanic that works on my car and I would prefer to take it to him. When I took it to him he told me that most of the work that Big O recommended didn't need to be done and what he felt was in need, he did for less than 1/2 what Big O wanted to charge me. Now the tires show signs of wear with only 26000 miles. I took it in to Big O. I was told it was alignment wear that voided the warranty they put my car up on the hoist and brought back a picture showing it was out of alignment. I told them I didn't believe that because it had just had an alignment by another shop and I probably hadn't driven it more than 20 miles. They told me I should take it back and they, Big O, guarantee their alignments for 90 days. I took it back. It was inspected they bought back the reading. It was right on. They guarantee their alignment for 6 months. I Went back to Big O and showed them. They again pushed the blame and made excuses, I talked to 3 different guys, including the owner. Each one told me something different. The owner said he would replace all the tires and prorate at 50 %. I didn't think that was right that I paid extra to get tires that are suppose to have a Warranty for 60000 miles and I have to replace them at 26000 and have it blamed on the alignment. I do not want to be locked into dealing with them for another set of tires. I will most likely just have to count my losses. I do not want to go back there at all. I would not recommend Pocatello Big O Tire Shop to anybody and give them a poor rating. I am very disappointed. I am a widow and have been left with having to deal with things that my husband normally dealt with. I am at the mercy of those who I do business with. I went away feeling like my business wasn't important to them and I was waste of their time. I received 100% better treatment from the shop that did the alignment and I didn't even buy my tire from them. read more
