Person on the line SANDY(district manager) gave me ignorant attitude telling me they don't use outside parts (rotors & brake pads) rudely asking me how long i have been living in California stupid shit like that. This place is awesome, they worked with me on getting new tires. The tires were ordered & changed the next day. I've never see a a turn around happen that quickly. They offered me a few protection plans in case something happened to my tires. They did a courtesy wheel alignment check free of charge. I'll be coming back in the future for oil changes & tire rotations as well. read more

Staff is super friendly & efficient but DO NOT purchase trailer tires here. No warranty. Tire failed at 1 year & 8,000 miles & they will not replace it. Asked for pricing info, after looking into the cost of the tires, she told me there was no pricing within the system, and she would not be able to sell me tires. Asked to be transferred or connected within someone in the company to help figure out the pricing, told me no one could help with that. I really liked this place until they charged me $132 to install a new battery.. which would have cost $59 at the VW dealership, $30 at Monument Motors in Joshua Tree.. and ZERO at Auto Zone. when I tried to get an explanation, I was simply told "We can put your old battery back in right now if you want.". Worst Big O Tires ever. We are loyal customers to Big O in Bakersfield. We have gone to this location in Yucca Valley twice and had a horrible experience both times. First time we came got 4 tires replaced and they lost one of my tire locking nuts. I called back when I noticed it was missing and they told me they never worked on my car. LIES. We decided to give them another try because our brakes needed to be replaced. We got here at 9 am and they told us they didn't have didn't have the parts I needed and that they would order them and parts would be here by 2 PM and Job done same day with an $300 deposit. No problem. Paid deposit and came back at 2 PM and was told they are still waiting on parts. They finally walked up to us at 3:30 and told us they ordered the wrong parts and they can't find the correct parts we need and basically that they can't help us. Told us our refund will be processed in a few days. Took our money and made us wait there 6 hours for nothing. If I knew this was doing to happen I would've taken it somewhere else where the job could've been completed! read more

After an extremely awful week, my tire blew out on the highway! I called up Sandy and she was so kind and responsive to my needs. I'm a single mom so I'm balling on a TIGHT budget. She gave me the complete price right up front (including taxes, install, AND the fee for taking my busted old tire) so I knew exactly what I was getting into. She also had the lowest price of ALL the tire shops in the high desert (and trust me I called allllll of them). Extremely friendly service and I was in and out in under an hour! This was after I'd come in, decided to exchange my rental car for another one, gone to the rental place to find that there were no cars available, and returning to Big O a second time! Horrible and untrustworthy. Don't go. My car overheated and Big O Tires in Yucca Valley was the nearest mechanic. I was told I needed a new radiator, which we didn't believe to be the case. According to them, the cap cracked and pieces had fallen into the radiator. That literally makes no sense and it wasn't true. A friend put coolant into my car before I took it to Big O and there were no cracks. I'm sure it was just a hose that I needed, but since I live in LA and couldn't drive my car back home, I reluctantly got a new radiator. Two weeks later my car overheats again and I get stranded on the side of the freeway with my dog. Two guys stop to help me and when I went to pop the hood, it wouldn't open. The lever had been broken. I hadn't opened the hood since getting it back from Big O. They were the last ones to open it so clearly they had damaged it. I took my car to a mechanic in LA. It took them hours to get my hood open and it turns out I blew a head gasket, which is odd considering I just had the radiator replaced. Apparently, Big O didn't tighten the upper clamp and coolant leaked everywhere as a result. The radiator had ZERO coolant in it--again not acceptable since I just got a new radiator. In addition, they didn't install a fan correctly. I was quoted around $1500 for the new repairs, on top of the $600 I paid for a radiator I probably didn't need. I have photos of the untightened clamp, coolant leakage and documentation of everything. The LA mechanic is willing to go on record and state his findings. He also has it written down and called out the previous mechanics for their careless work. I called Big O and spoke to a manager who was condescending and said he didn't believe me. He refused to help and said to call back at a later time to speak with the owner. I will attempt to speak with the owner, but it's hard to deny the strong evidence I have. That said, if this doesn't get resolved, I will take them to small claims court. I can absolutely prove their work was so reckless and negligent that I blew a head gasket. Please save yourself time, money and hassle by NOT going to Big O Tires. read more

I have started using Tham about a year or two ago. I send 5 different vehicles there, Which includes pickup trucks, 2 Porsche SUV's, a Porsche Sports car, and the family sedan, and older Jaguar. Big-O Tires has so far treated me very well, charged very fairly for their work, and always had work done as promised, and when promised. Nobody and nothing is perfect, so one time they forgot to re-install a valve cap, another time my carpet had black shoe marks. Both times they took care of issues immediately, and satisfactorily. The one set of Continental tires I bought from them so far were installed 100% in balance, and the price was competitive with online sellers. This place is good for tires, but super expensive for repair work. When they put tires on my car they noticed some axle front seals were leaking and my rear shocks were leaking. I asked them how much for them to repair the things that were wrong and they said $800. I was able to get it done for $600 here in my town. I'm happy with my tires so far, but if I go in there when they need to be rotated and have a problem, I will update my review. read more

Bought 50,000 mile tires. Rotated them every 5K miles but did not save each receipt. I have the records noted. Now, with 22,000 miles the tires are just about done. Well, the two I have left as the first two were done two months ago. They want nothing to do with me. I know, the rules are the rules and I need to have receipts for tire rotations, I paid over $100 each for these tires and have only gotten 22k out of them.
