No complaints. The menu TVs were broken (everything was solid blue), so I could barely read the menu. Fresh juice is available here, but boy is it expensive. Probably double most other places. There were some bubble tea promotions, but they involved multiple drinks, and I didn't want to double fist. The mango smoothie I had was pretty good. I would say they are like the old school local bbt place. They have been around for a long long time. They have been around before the Taiwanese chain even showed up in the metro Vancouver area. Pretty much a basic no frills type of juice place. There was a promotion of fresh mango fruit smoothie. $3.99 each when you buy 2 small drinks. We loved mango so it was a no brainer get that. Toppings included too. Wow! I had lychee jelly with the mango smoothie and it was so good. There were fresh chunks of mango in it too. The non promotional drink prices are quite high though. A small fresh fruit juice is $8.99. I will recommend this place for the more affordable drinks which are on promotion. It changes often. read more

I have often seen Big Orange bubble tea when walking through different shopping malls but for some reason have never really had any strong desire to try it. We'd been seeing it on the Too Good to Go app for quite a long time though and finally decided to give it a try. For $6.99 we were given 4 different flavors of drinks in 4 small cups. There was one flavor that we weren't crazy about it but the other three were quite nice. This was a great way for me to finally try Big Orange and I think after this I might actually consider ordering a drink from them sometime! read more

Service is okay, it's just a fruit drink counter. Problem is the products. We got that Mango Slushie, it was disgusting, and extremely overpriced for what you are getting. It boasts fresh chunks of mango, photo is orange as though they would actually add a decent amount of fresh mango-- not. It's essentially 5% mango (if even), and the rest is ground chunks of ice (not slush) plus tons of cheap sugar syrup. You are essentially drinking sugared water. There was absolutely no mango chunks, only about 10 or so tidbits of mango lingering between the crushed ice. Guess it's great for the owner's bank accounts, but really horrible for the consumers. You literally feel like a sucker paying that kind of money for ground chunky sugary ice. Really don't know how they lasted so long. Must be a lot of new suckers everyday. Don't enjoy negative reviews, but felt consumers should know what they are getting. read more

BEWARE!! I visited Big Orange on 3 different occasions over the last couple months and I had been charged a different price every single time I went: First occasion: I ordered 2 regular fresh mango smoothies, which they have a special of 2 for $8.99. This special is also indicated on the wall on the left side. The server who took my order was a middle-aged Chinese lady with glasses. She charged me 12% tax on the smoothies, which came to about 12 dollars for the two drinks. I only realized this after I returned to the office. Unfortunate. Second occasion: once again, I ordered 2 regular fresh mango smoothies (still a special at 2 for $8.99). This time it was a younger lady who took my order. She charged me 5% tax, which was what they were supposed to do. So I thought, okay, maybe it was just the middle-aged lady with glasses who was trying to rip everyone off. I had no problem with this one and I only paid 9 something. Third occasion: Went there for the usual order of 2 regular fresh mango smoothies. This time, it was the middle-aged lady with glasses AGAIN. I already knew something was going to happen and it was just a matter of what trick she was going to pull this time. Sure enough, she denied me the 2 for $8.99 special because I ordered 2 of the same drinks. The sign clearly said any 2 for $8.99 with 3 smoothies that you could choose from below the words. She then said the drinks had to be different. Wait what? I leaned closer to read the sign more carefully, apparently, they added four tiny, barely visible, words: "different from these three". Well what does that even mean? That any other drink applies EXCEPT for the three listed can be used for the 2 for $8.99 special? Why couldn't they just say, "cannot be same drink". It is still four words and conveys a way better and clearer message. So I ended up paying 10 something, close to 11 for the two drinks, as she charged me 4.99 per smoothie. I am not upset that I did not get the $8.99 deal because it was only a 99-cent saving. I am upset because I had been charged a different price every single time and it was always the middle-aged lady with glasses who was trying to rip me off. It sure sounds like she just makes up whatever rule she wants depending on her mood. However, I have to say, the mango smoothies were great as fresh mangoes were used. You could taste the freshness in it and you get some small chunks of mango to chew on. But as to whether or not I need to return to this specific store for my fresh mango smoothies? Probably 1 in every 5 bubble teas I get here is actually what I ordered. Can't say that I've been a big fan of big orange as their bubble tea isn't too bad, but service here is awful. The girls who work here are constantly just talking to each other not paying attention to any customers unless you're a friend. I usually order a honey green milk tea with pearls and I really didn't know the most generic bubble tea cannot be made by the people who work here. Most of the time it's fine but I've had a few times where my milk tea didn't even have any milk. And my boyfriend usually gets either a peach or green apple green tea with no pearls and they just add them anyways. Sometimes we would ask if they could remake the drinks and they would just say no and go back to talking or texting on their phones. Anyways, not really sure why they have a sticker that says "Yelp loves us" when there's barely any service here in the first place. I didn't want to come back and tell them that because they looked really irresponsive, and failed to make eye contact. I guess they were in a state of depression on some certain degrees. Usually they are really good, but three times now Kelsey has been taking orders and has been rude each time. She seems to want to just gossip with the other girls working there or give things free to her friends! She just said "what do you want?". This is rude and unacceptable. I come here often and she is not doing me a favour taking my order! In addition, I have seen her give away free drinks to her friends 2 of the 3 times I have been served by her. They come to the side and whisper to her and she just hands it over, while making the paying customers wait?! Usually the girls will say hi and then ask politely "what I can get you?" This seems fine to me, I don't expect 5 star service but at least say hi. Kelsey is awful! She should not deal with customers! The customer service here is horrid. First time, while I was ordering, I paid and then noticed a rewards card. I asked the girl if I can start collecting points. She said yes, just grab the card sitting on the counter. I pick it up and I asked if I received the points. She said yes. I asked how do I get points if she never even physically touched the card and all I did is was grab it off the stand on the counter? This is a story of love-hate relationship. I love bubble tea, but if it was the last bubble tea place on earth, I wouldn't get one from there. Craving for a bubble tea, we went to Big Orange for the first time and asked for our usual taro milk tea - honeydew milk tea, both with half pearls, half coconut jelly. Extra paid. First time we went, oops, did you forget the coconut jelly? Flag the girl, give back the bubble tea to have the lid opened and add the coconut jelly.... It's Ok, just don't get too good at forgetting, I hate to go out of my way to pay for extra and have to mention they forgot about it. The bubble teas tasted off, both of them, taro tasted way too sweet and my honeydew tasted... I don't know, just weird? Second time we went, same thing. No coconut jelly to be found. Flag the girl, open the lid, add the coconut, give it back to us. This time our bubble teas were warm for some reasons, and tasted off again, like I-don't-think-I-feel-like-drinking-bubble-tea off, after two sips. You know, bubble tea is like a desert. You crave it, you want it, you need it. It puts a perfect end to a perfect meal, a perfect shopping spree with your loved one, You need it to be a certain way.
