Café that has been opened for 10+ years, located on the upper level of City Square Shopping Centre (right above the escalators, it's hard to miss). They have a wide variety of coffees, cold drinks, pastries, sandwiches, soups and more. When I went, they had a combo deal going on for a free soup with any purchase of a sandwich and drink. Prices are quite reasonable as well. Currently only take-out or delivery. Friendly staff and quick service. My order: Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Ball ($3.70): highly recommend this one! It's basically a large Reece cup in a ball shape. Dark chocolate coated peanut butter ball, with chunks of real peanuts sprinkled in as well. It's surprisingly not too sweet, but it's quite rich so I'd recommend getting just one for the perfect after meal dessert (or pack a few for the road). Frappe Caramello ($6+): subtle caramel flavour, but it isn't too sweet overall and is a great iced drink to cool down on a hot day. Most drinks come in small, medium, or large size. Frappe Mochalatto ($6+): It is more chocolate-y, so it's perfect for people who don't like strong coffee drinks. Slightly sweeter than the caramel frappe. Beef Sausage Roll ($3.70): flaky pastry dough, and they heat it up for you. Nice and filling snack. Turkey Panini (~$9): they heat this up on a panini grill for you. Comes with cheddar cheese, sundried tomato, pesto, spinach, and mayo on a house-made ciabatta bun. I like the sweet-tart flavour that the sundried tomato adds to the sandwich. Easy hot meal to take to-go. Macaroon Madness (~$3): I liked the oatmeal and coconut crumble on top, it adds a good texture and taste. There's also a caramel drizzle on top. It has a soft mushy texture, but was a bit too sweet for my personal preference. Cinnamon Twist: house-made as well, with a nice caramelized crunchy cinnamon top. I microwaved it at home with a bit of butter and it is very delicious.

    Nice and open!

Worst sandwich I think I've ever had. Literally didn't taste like anything it was very strange and not worth the money.

Not sure if the coffee is any good, but they do have gluten-free bagels! Yum!

I think it was one of those Cherry Blossom Food Festivals that brought this place to my attention…read moreabout a year or two ago. Been wanting to try it for awhile and now I finally have. We ordered the following: Tiramisu Latte Caprese Bite London Fog Apple Cookie Cherry Matcha Tonic Tiramisu Sea Salt Caramel Gelato The Cherry Matcha Tonic was pretty but wasn't too crazy about the flavor. I should have just gone with my original gut instinct and chosen a hot beverage like Hojicha Latte or something like that. I was sort of thirsting for something cooler for a change though, and the Cherry Matcha Tonic was the first "cool" drink that caught my eye so I decided to go for it. Won't do that again. Everything else was good though. The Sea Salt Caramel Gelato was the star of the show! In the store there's a sign beneath their gelato section that says "Canadian Gelato Champion". I believe it after tasting the Sea Salt Caramel! They had Nama Chocolates too. I was tempted to get some but...only so much a person's wallet and waistline can handle at one time. Will try the Nama Chocolate some other time. You can order in person here, or you can place an "Express" order at the Kiosk. We tried both ways of ordering. Ordered at the counter first and then after finished my Cherry Matcha Tonic decided I wanted to try the Sea Salt Gelato so then tried ordering that from the Kiosk. Most of the parking in this area is paid but I lucked out and got a free spot right around the corner from this place!

Wow, a new cafe in the neighbourhood. This coffee shop caught my attention for its beautiful…read moreaesthetic and it's even open till 10pm. I could tell even from outside that it's a popular work and study type of coffee shop with your free wifi and outlets. I hope this post doesn't give it away and make it way too crowded for me to find a seat next time. There's a steady flow of people visiting the stores while I was there on a weekday between late afternoon and early evening but there's always extra seat for anyone new looking for a desk to work or chat with friends. A few could be better are the pricing and temperature. They offer free oat milk substitute and -$0.35 for bringing your own cup but no more employee discount. And it was so cold in there, I could see a lot of people kept their winter jackets on, I don't think it's a heating issue but the constant windy seems to suggest the AC is on rather than the heater, oh wells Im out of there now. For that reason, unless I'm bundled up, it'll be a hard sale to be back again! I got a hojicha latte and it as pretty good, perfect sweetness and temperature for my cold with no ice. The barista was super great to work with.
