This cafe spot is on the second level of City Square and I quite enjoy their coffee. I have not tried their food delivery services or their sandwiches and pastries though their cinnamon bun looked tasty. Service is decent & I like to visit here just for their tea lattes or coffee. I find it a convenient spot to pick up good coffee on a rainy day with City Square's indoor underground parkade available. They are open early before City Square is open and there are small tables of two or a small bar table for 3 close by. read more

When I arrived at the till, the cashier dropped everything and asked if I needed anything. Very attentive to customers! I ordered an iced latte macchiato as weather warms up even at 8:30am in Vancouver these days! It was the most decent drink I had for a while - not too sweet, right amount of expresso and fresh! I ordered their Italian panini and cheese croissant through Uber eats. They had a great buy one get one free offer on their sandwiches which is what attracted me to them. Unfortunately, the panini was very dry and it did not taste the freshness in the sandwich. The order was 30mins late so it might be that it got cold. The cheese croissant was again not fluffy or flaky, it was quiet dry. Also, it was a mini croissant which was not mentioned on the website. I do like their offers though! read more

Café that has been opened for 10+ years, located on the upper level of City Square Shopping Centre (right above the escalators, it's hard to miss). They have a wide variety of coffees, cold drinks, pastries, sandwiches, soups and more. When I went, they had a combo deal going on for a free soup with any purchase of a sandwich and drink. Prices are quite reasonable as well. Currently only take-out or delivery. Friendly staff and quick service. My order: Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Ball ($3.70): highly recommend this one! It's basically a large Reece cup in a ball shape. Dark chocolate coated peanut butter ball, with chunks of real peanuts sprinkled in as well. It's surprisingly not too sweet, but it's quite rich so I'd recommend getting just one for the perfect after meal dessert (or pack a few for the road). Frappe Caramello ($6+): subtle caramel flavour, but it isn't too sweet overall and is a great iced drink to cool down on a hot day. Most drinks come in small, medium, or large size. Frappe Mochalatto ($6+): It is more chocolate-y, so it's perfect for people who don't like strong coffee drinks. Slightly sweeter than the caramel frappe. Beef Sausage Roll ($3.70): flaky pastry dough, and they heat it up for you. Nice and filling snack. Turkey Panini (~$9): they heat this up on a panini grill for you. Comes with cheddar cheese, sundried tomato, pesto, spinach, and mayo on a house-made ciabatta bun. I like the sweet-tart flavour that the sundried tomato adds to the sandwich. Easy hot meal to take to-go. Macaroon Madness (~$3): I liked the oatmeal and coconut crumble on top, it adds a good texture and taste. There's also a caramel drizzle on top. It has a soft mushy texture, but was a bit too sweet for my personal preference. Cinnamon Twist: house-made as well, with a nice caramelized crunchy cinnamon top. I microwaved it at home with a bit of butter and it is very delicious. read more

We ordered a decaf espresso and they gave us the regular espresso. We knew this because we felt the difference afterwards. This is serious because people can get sick from it. They are absolutely unethical. read more

Located in a nice big open space on the 2nd floor of the mall, I sit here watching all the people below eating their junk food, then look up to see people hard at work in the gym ;) Friendly service; the lady making my latte asked how I was, and then did a lovely big heart latte art! Sweet! I asked for a small, but I think with my accent people hear "tall" as this was massive! Nice and creamy, yum. I like how open it is here. Oh, and there's a pretty big selection of tea! Located at City Square, Cultured Coffee & Tea snugs against the north wall on the mezzanine level. Just up the escalator you will find comfortable couches, coffee (!) tables, and lots of room to perch while sipping superb coffee and reading the paper. This gem serves up custom roasted/blended coffees that are mind-boggling. Bring your own coffee cup and it is cheerfully filled. And the croissants - flakes fly up on the first bite - that tantalizing blend of crunch and then sweet softness inside. The date square is topped with a melange of crunchy seeds. So much variety that I haven't yet eaten my way through the offerings. Light lunches are served - Jamaican Patties, along with croissant sandwiches, stuffed with creative fillings and freshly made on site. There is a seating section that cantilevers out over the main floor of the mall; and people watching is from a bird's eye view. Cultured is right next to the Blanche Macdonald Modelling School - say no more! This place does get very busy; and the service seems to be better when the two older fellows are behind the counter. Staff are always friendly, the vibe is just different some days. Overall, though, this is a good place to take a break and look out to the downtown and North Shore mountains or check out people. Whole bean coffee is available for sale. Tegibanze Innocent Coe Lot #17 from Rwanda, and Cafe Finca Los Planes were on the shelf last week. Super hungry at lunch so I went to the Cultured Coffee kiosk at City Square and bought 2 sausage rolls. I asked for ketchup and the woman working said they did not have any. She barely heated it up in a microwave that was quite dirty. The coffee I ordered was Luke warm and I asked for sweetener and she added it to the coffee and put too much in. When I brought the roll back to work and bit into it, the roll was completely inedible. It was at least a week old and the pastry was gummy. For a reality check I asked a co-worker to taste the other one and he said it was the worst sausage roll he had ever had. The worst part is it was not cheap. I would stay away from this place. I was somehow lucky that I didn't get food poisoning. read more

I think I need an IV of caffeine dripping into my system but until that is achieved I must resort to coffee shops close to the office. There are two in City Square, Starbucks and Cultured and I am now a Cultured fan. I LOVE my dark roast and theirs is smooth, bold and tasty. Add a little cinnamon and it's PERFECTO. The atmosphere is great with comfy couches and places to sit to people watch. Which I greatly enjoy! The staff have always been friendly and that makes it a sure thing that I will be back. It's also closer to my office by a floor that Starbucks lol. read more

Coffee tastes good, sitting area is better than the Starbucks downstairs (comfy relaxing couches). Cups come with some unique built in sleeve to keep you from burning your hands on the hot coffee. Prices seemed a bit cheaper than Starbucks, but I didn't do an in depth analysis. Service was prompt and polite, not much more I could ask for. read more

This is a nice alternative to the Green Siren coffee giant. Cultured Coffee & Tea is located inside City Square mall on the 2nd level (top of the escalators above the food court). I ordered a soy chai latte after asking what kind of mix they used. They said they made the chai themselves. It was okay, but quite sweet, even though I didn't add any sweetener. I'd definitely go back and try a coffee-based drink. read more

Best mocha I've ever had. This is the only place I don't have to add anything to the drink, just pop a lid on it and go. Of course it depends on the barista, but so far three of the four I've had here were perfect blend of dark chocolate and latte. Update: They are consistently the best mocha. There's a new barista and the coffee is still great. This is my favourite hidden gem coffee shop. Also they have a chocolate peanut butter ball that is wonderful. read more

Worst sandwich I think I've ever had. Literally didn't taste like anything it was very strange and not worth the money.

Not sure if the coffee is any good, but they do have gluten-free bagels! Yum!

It's either this or Starbucks inside City Square Mall. I go here 'cause the people are friendlier, however, I don't think that they know a lot about coffee and drinks. It shows in their presentation and the efficiency of the drinks. There isn't a large variety of snacks either. If you just want a tea bag and hot water, this is the place. read more

Lets get straight to the point, my coffee addiction has been meet with a relaxing atmosphere my coffee dealer was a polite Chica. Didn't feel in close and caged like star bucket downstairs. But was able to teach the staff about the levels of steam milk and design's you can make. But pls fix ur chip in your eftpos machine. .. peace read more
