I had been to this Big Peach location once before, but this time I went, was more intentional. I arrived and was greeted upon arrival, and within just a few minutes, someone came and helped me. I was looking for a new pair of running shoes. I had a few questions, and the gentleman was very knowledgeable. I ended up finding a pair of shoes I liked, but they weren't in stock at this particular store, so he called another store to have them sent over, and he would give me a call back letting me know when he has them at the store. I had a really good visit during my time here, and I look forward to going back and getting the shoes I found. read more

No stranger to Big Peach Running, I will say this was the first time I visited this location near the Costco brookhaven. I needed a new pair of cross trainers, typically loved brooks or new balance, and tried the pairs that I was interested in. I walked away with a pair and before leaving I asked staff helping me if they could also recommend something else for comfort. This guy brings several pairs of shoes, gives a quick explanation of the shoe, and allows me to put them all on, walk around the track and give him feed back. I wasn't rushed. He didn't step away to focus on any other customers....he was legit trying to help me find a shoe to meet my needs and I really enjoyed the personal attention to care. Inside Big Peach running there is a small track you can walk or run around to get a good feel for your prospective shoe. There's also a treadmill too. They also are, like several other running stores, active in the run community, hosting free neighborhood runs where they leave no runner behind regardless of speed/pace. I do like that! Parking for Big Peach can be easy or challenging depending on the time of day. With that said, you'll definitely find a spot but whether it's in front of the store is another matter altogether. I did buy a second pair of shoes that i've worn for a few weeks now and still love. Really appreciate these guys for doing such a great job with me. I'll be shopping around soon! read more

I had worn down my last pair of New Balance running shoes after a painful several months of enduring the awkward fit (my own fault for being stingy...). I've always been cheap with my running shoes, but thanks to past injuries, I cannot continue to do so if I want to come out standing after my first marathon. There was a slight wait, which forced me to walk around the store and peruse the retail prices. While there were a few out of season items on sale, Big Peach is definitely not cheap. I first tried on my original shoes, which happened to be on sale since they were retiring that style and model. After a look on the treadmill and iPad video recording of my running, we decided to try a couple other options. I ended up leaving with a pair of Brooks running shoes, which I had claimed were too hard for me in the past. Since they were out of stock in my size, they were going to have them delivered to me a few days later, but I ended up going to the Suwanee location to pick them up since I was already going to be in the area. Customer service is great, even though they aren't paid commissions for selling you shoes. The two sales guys I encountered were friendly and helpful. Prices aren't cheap at Big Peach but it's definitely a great starting point for your running needs. read more

We recently moved into the neighborhood and visited this store to get me some new running shoes. I know exactly what I need: Brooks Glycerine 7.5. Salesman goes into the back and comes back with my shoes. He laced them up. I asked him to check the toe box. It felt a little tight to me, but he assured me it is just fine. No reason not to trust this guy, so I assume they are just a little tight because they are new. I buy my shoes. Get out to the car and realize he has sold me a 7 (not a 7.5). Honest mistake right? Nope. I go back in. Guy basically tells me they don't have a 7.5 and so he sold me a shoe that was too small. This is the best way I can imagine to insure I will never walk in this store again. read more

I've been to the Big Peach Running Co in Decatur and had a wonderful experience. I came to the Brookhaven location because bestie needed some running/walking shoes and I told her about my awesome experience. Therefore, I decided to accompany her and check out the store. It is located in Town Blvd in the plaza where Publix and LA Fitness is located. There is free parking deck if you're not able to find parking near the store. The store is huge compared to Decatur. Same great customer service. However, Brookhaven wins a few notch over for their massive variety of shoe display and walking trail around the casher and treadmill. Even though I was mainly there to accompany bestie, I observed everything and asked questions too for me in the future. I loved it so much, I want to come back. To this location! I asked bestie what she thought. She said the experience was extraordinary and was glad I told her and pushed her to come since she is not a runner and always had a hard time finding a walking/running shoe. It was hard to please her, finding the right shoe. The sales rep did not give up and made sure bestie was satisfied. The sale rep told us about free walking/running events. I saw many of the runners come to the store to stop and get complimentary water. They even have free class teaching good form to lead to run. She also gave information about a free 5k. Ok - so I'm training for a Marathon now... my old shoes lasted me ~2.5 years. I'm not a huge race runner so I've been kind of lazy in my shoe game. However, after I did my first Half Marathon, my old shoes kind of died on me.... to the point my basic 4-5 mile runs hurt my feet pretty bad. Parking - Big Peach is in Town Brookhaven. Plenty of parking BUT so many people live/come to this area. Sheesh. I honestly avoid coming here if I can. I'd come early AM or late at night when people are elsewhere. Folks here are great and super nice. As soon as I walked in, ....Kate? (I totally forgot her name, sorry!) helped me. She had me run on the treadmill and see how my feet were when I stood up straight. I have some weird weight on my right foot I think, so she brought out shoes that could help mitigate any harm to that foot when I go on my runs. I think I tried on 6-8 pair of shoes. Each pair I ran on the indoor circle road. Finally chose a pair I liked. I've ran in them ~4x so far and they feel GREAT! I'll be back here when I need to get new shoes again. read more

My first visit to a Big Peach store years ago (back in Windward) pretty much launched my running career if you could call it one. I've always loved coming back to Big Peach to buy shoes - in fact, I've probably bought at least 3 pairs from them in the past decade. This was my first time in the Brookhaven location. I had trouble finding it at first as we walked throughout most of Town Brookhaven (it's a cute little shopping area), but eventually we found out near Olde Blind Dog. I wish I could remember the name of the person who helped me - Abby? Annie? - but she was incredibly patient. Customer service is what I LOVE about Big Peach. You could try on as many pairs, wear a different size on one foot vs another, or try on another pair again and even do a slight job around their little mini-track in the store, and the rep will still be completely honest with you and oblige you with more shoes to try. I found a pair of Brooks Ghost 10 that I liked, but they didn't have my size and color I wanted. Abby went so far as to check other Big Peach stores, but they didn't have it either. I was a little bummed that I couldn't get my shoes that day, but I felt like I still got what I was looking for even if I didn't buy anything. I can't recommend this store enough. read more

I am quite possibly the most impatient person in the world when it comes to shopping and this was the best experience! I was new to the store and the employees were very helpful and showed me the lay of the land. They listened to my needs and help me find a shoe (actually 2) that fit great! The best part is the great return policy. You can wear the shoes for a bit and still are able to return for a refund or an exchange. For someone like me who has crazy feet, it was a godsend when I had to return one of my pairs. :-) I believe there are a few locations in Atlanta so make sure to stop by one today. I've been needing new running shoes. I heard this place does gait analysis and then recommends shoes bases on that. As someone who over pronates, the shoes are really important. I know I have the problem... The issue is that the shoes I used to get are now discontinued. So now that I can't get them any more, I've been buying shoes that claim to help with motion control in the same size and width... And they've been lousy. I had enough of this and came in to see what a running store would recommend. Tyler helped me, had me step on a mat that measured how my weight distributed, then run on a treadmill and captured my running motion. Sure enough, I was told that I over pronated and my feet would be better served with a wider fitting pair of shoes. This aligned with what I knew already. He pulled out the pairs of shoes for me to try, explained what was different about each, had me try them and compare. I feel happy about the pair that I ended up buying because they fit great and feel free as well. I'd definitely recommend coming here. I suspect everyone in the store is knowledgeable, but Tyler is a great person to have help you, if he's available. read more

I've been coming to Big Peach for all my running needs for the past year or so. Like any great running store, they do gait analysis, and will fit you to the right shoe for you. They also have a running track around the store and a treadmill. I haven't personally used it because I was fitted to my shoe years before I moved to Atlanta and always just buy the same shoe. But the staff is very knowledgeable and I would definitely trust them to fit me with a new one should that time ever come. Most, if not all locations have free group runs on different days off the week, and I've been a part of the one here since last summer. It's every Tuesday and Thursday evening, and if you are part of the group run you also get discounts on purchases. Which, mine is redundant because they already give me a discount for being a member of the Atlanta Track Club. Periodically shoe companies will come in with new shoes that you can take for a test run during the group run! Big Peach Brookhaven regularly has different professionals in talking about nutrition, form, injuries, etc and offering various services. And their customer service is excellent. Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly. I just bought my first hydration backpack last weekend and Kate spent quite a while with me going through the models, answering my questions, telling me about her personal experiences, and calling around stores to see who might have the one I wanted. And anything you don't have, they're happy to order for you. Another day, after a particularly hot run, I was sitting on the floor by the water cooler because I was lightheaded and maybe a little dehydrated. Wade and a gentleman whose name I don't know kept coming by and checking on me and gave me some tablets for my water that I think had electolytes, and some cooling wipes. Fernando spent an hour with me and was very patient as I wanted to try on all six shoes he brought out for me (based on my assessment) several times. Big Peach has been my go to running store since I started running in 2010. They have several locations and although this one moved from further down Peachtree into Town Brookhaven, I feel like this is home base for me. I have been here numerous times for all sorts of different activities. But no matter what is going on or who is helping you, everyone is extremely friendly. If you want to start running Big Peach is the place to go. They will get you fitted for some shoes and I was very surprised to learn things about my running style and sneaker needs that I did not know before. They will set you up and then let you try different shoes that fit your needs. You can even run outside for a bit to try them out. They want you to make an informed purchase. At Big Peach you can buy sneakers, clothes, nutrition goodies, recovery items, you name it if you need it they will have it. You can also sign up for races, one of their run groups or go online and sign up for some clinics. The clinics are free and often very helpful. They have a Good Form running clinic that is very beneficial. Customer service is top notch. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. They asked the size and brought them, also asking if I was open to trying any other shoes. I'm just getting back into running and I visited this store to buy some trail running shoes. I ended up leaving the store with so much more! They have a really great selection of shoes and the sales associate (Brooke) who helped me was really knowledgeable and helpful. I described an injury I have in my heel and she helped me find the perfect shoe to minimize my pain. The best part of my experience here was learning they carry a huge assortment of Brooks running bras in a lot of inclusive sizes (32/34E!). I've also really enjoyed their community runs and trail runs! I went in search for lightweight walking shoes that would keep my feet from aching while on vacation. The staff at Big Peach Running in Brookhaven went above and beyond to find the perfect shoes that fit both feet ( one is conderably wider after years of gymnastics and broken toes). The other truly impressive service is their return policy ( try the shoes and bring them back within 2 weeks if they aren't woring out). This was after I bought another pair, tried them out and brought them back because they weren't working for me. Bought my new running shoes from Big Peach Running Co yesterday and entire experience was awesome. Staff was super friendly, patient and helpful. They definitely try their best to ensure the best fit. I was doing so many laps to try on different pairs that I worked up some sweat at the end. I've never felt more confident when I put on my new shoes and started running this morning. I highly recommend this location. A reminder though: bring your running socks for the best fitting experience. I forgot mine and had to put on store ones, which were nice but felt tighter than my usual running socks. read more

Really 4.5 stars but I didn't want them to get dinged by a 4-star rating. The selection a tad on the limited side, but they have a little bit of everything so in some ways it makes life easier because you don't get overwhelmed. Really good about getting other colors and sizes in from others stores. The prices are a little bit on the higher side but they give discounts to residents of the neighborhood which is helpful. The reason why I keep coming back here is unlike so many other stores they actually take the time to find the right shoe for you and it has made all the difference for me in terms of comfort. So yeah, you're paying a few extra dollars for having a shoe fit by someone who actually knows what they're doing and seems like love what they do. At the mall those stores make you feel like you are inconveniencing them. It's also nice to support a local small business rather than some juggernaut. read more

When I arrived, I was promptly greeted by a team member named Tony, who provided the best customer service and shoe selection experience that I have received, exhibiting patience and friendliness throughout my visit. After providing an in-depth analysis of my gate and foot structure, Tony selected a variety of shoes to try out that would meet my individual needs. He confidently provided pros and cons of each shoe, then helped organize and rank my selection. At the end of our session, I left with the most comfortable pair of running shoes I have ever had. Now that I am using these shoes, I have noticed more stamina, less exhaustion, and no pain from my pronated ankles during my runs.
