I bought a pair of Hey Dudes online from Big R. I couldn't find the ones I wanted anywhere else and they were on sale! Also, I love me a good farm store. They arrived promptly. I had a little bit of a problem with my order as they were shipped with the security anti-theft tag still in place. Not sure why this store has a bad rap. We moved to evergreen in September 2024 and this store has been so helpful for a few different reasons. They sell wood for our stove at a reasonable price, the selection is always decent for our needs including dog foods that are cheaper than the big brands and have better ingredients! The firearm guys know their stuff too, the three day waiting period sucks but that's out of their control completely. A good example was I needed a new chain for my chainsaw and I didn't know how to get the right one, the person who helped me explained and taught me how to get the right one, even showed me the different types of chains. I thoroughly enjoy when I can learn something new along the way to get a better understanding of a problem I need to tackle. Is their customer service good? Depends on who you ask, if you ask the entitled Karen who demands service the second you walk in the door then probably not. Horrible customer service the manager hung up the phone on me. He knew I was on there and he purposely didn't want to answer my question about a firearm. This company has a horrible new policy where if your ID doesn't match your current registration that's not expired. They can't use it. Do not shop here. read more

On a firearm purchase and the three day waiting period I was told by the store manager that I could pick up this item after 12 n0on 0n Sunday June 9. I waited until Monday June 10 to pick it up I arrived at 10 in the morning. Was told I had to wait until noon to pick it up. At noon I was told I had to wait until 1:45 to get it. I was here at 9:30 0n the Friday before. They obviously waited until 1:45 to time stamp it even though I was here at 9:30 to complete the paperwork . They have totally pooched this transaction. We had two interactions with (Nyneve)the cashier, she was so shutdown, didn't greet us, or ask what we needed , we had to start the conversation by saying we are here for XYZ. Got my propane tanks filled there, and while out camping, the tanks would not flow. Returned to the store, and was advised there was nothing they could do, it had nothing to do with their filling up the tank and they do not do exchanges. Disappointed in the return policy. Just drove 30 minutes out of my way after I purchased a few bearing sets from this location, never opened them, and just came back from being out of town for 4 months. The manager said there was NOTHING she could do since the receipt was 4 months old, which I find hard to believe. No store credit, no partial credit, nothing. Basically just donated the parts back to the store so that I didn't have to have them flying around in the bed of my truck. Reconsider your policy on unopened/unused items that patrons couldn't return to another location because they're far and few between. read more

Why the negative reviews? No they are not Walmart or Home Depot, but we love Big R Evergreen. Popcorn for the kiddos and a nice selection of a lot of items, my favorites being the Dewalt & Stihl tools. Also our Mountain Grass seed is holding up great on our yard after several years of misses on the grass seed from the Home Depot. Going to go pickup a sport collar for my dog and some railroad ties today. Our customer experience has always been good. read more

What exactly is going on with your lack of answering the phone. I have an out of state number. Called 12 times. Grabbed my wife's phone called seven more from a local number. I want to buy a full metal roof package for my barn in evergreen. Never felt so disrespected. Thanks for that. Talked to corporate. Waiting for call back on Monday. What do you do that makes you too busy to answer the phone. The telephone is fundamental in accruing future business. I've dealt with crappy attitudes from employees etc. Over the few years you've been here but for some stupid reason choose to return out of necessity. Not a bad supply store slash sporting goods store. I come here every once in a while when I need something a little different than what I can get at other places. Today got a hat rack for cowboy hats. The staff doesn't know much about customer service but they're still good people. The prices are typical for mountain mark up type places. read more

I called to ask if hey had something I needed bc I have to drop be 20 minutes to get there. They said they did, and when I got here they did not have it. They NEVER have anything I need! Not a hardware store in any real sense. They have a small aisle of tools for high prices and they have nails and screws. No lumber or other things like concrete. But they have tons of assault rifles and handguns if your looking to overthrow the government. read more

To find a store similar to D and B Supply in Idaho was pretty awesome for this pro gun, Idaho country girl! I went to the store about 5 weeks ago to get dog food, they did not have it, was in Idaho soon after so I got it there. Wildology dog food (Adore) is difficult to find anyway. Went to Big R again 3 days ago, they did not have it but said it would be on their truck Friday. I went back to the store on Friday and they still did not have it, said I could drive to Conifer because they had 3 bags. Wow, really I did not want to drive another 25 min to get dog food. Needless to say my dog's food has changed and it is $13.00 more per bag for his lamb and rice formula. I still love this store but am disappointed. When I shop for dog food I tend to look and shop for other things but if I can't get the needed food I might not return to the store. These comments are meant as constructive criticism. read more

First time in a Big R. Girl at the front register was so nice & genuine. Really made our experience better interacting with her at the beginning & end of our shopping trip. We went here to get work pants for my boyfriends new job. All the pants were nicely organized by size which made it easier to pick out what he wanted. And we were pleasantly surprised that they carry our dogs brand of dog food Taste of the Wild. And gotta love any store that allows you to bring your dog in!!!:) read more

2nd time I have had horrible customer SERVICE from this store. They treat customers like they don't need there business. I tried to order a product and was told multiple times they could order and was on it. After three weeks no phone calls and no product. I asked again and was told it never got ordered. So I asked to speak to the Manager. Was told the same it never got ordered and he was sorry. My response to him was you must not care about me, my money or my animals. The manger left me feeling that day no one cared about my stuff. So I had to go somewhere else to get the product I needed for my animals. After that I decided to stop shopping there for almost 6 months. I like to keep my money local so decided to give them another chance maybe that was just a weird random drop the ball situation. So I took my older used Stihl weed eater in for service. Gentleman at the front said they would get on it ASAP. Had me go back and fill out a service tag with what was needed. After 2 1/2 weeks and me calling the store 4 times to get little information cause no one ever called me. I still had no ideal the cost or if they where even actually working on it. Had to call in the 5th time to finally get the Manager. I explained I need my tool that's why it was there. He responds by saying they cant get it to start. I said if you cant fix by tomorrow I need the job stopped so I can buy a new machine summer will be over at your pace. Amazingly the next day LEE the Manager called back and advised your machine is ready. I showed up to pick it up today they said it runs great you just have to hold it straight or it will leak gas. I said why would you not have ordered the o rings after having it that long. All he kept saying is they can order stuff if I wanted it. I then looked down and said you never even replaced the cutting head. Lee said this is the first mention he heard of the cutting head. I looked down and said what the hell is on the service tag item #1. He bent down looked at the card attached to the handle and said yep replace cutting head. I then said this is what I am talking about horrible customer service, as I grabbed my machine, the bill and headed to the door to pay. Again no one seemed to care about my situation or there screw up. I left the store filled a complaint with Stihl and said just wanted to let you know you are probably going to lose a long time customer because of how I was treated at the Big R Evergreen service center. Stihl cared about me as a customer and is trying to fix the situation! While writing this Stihl called back and advised the do not want me buying another product and would give me a brand new weed eater at no charge if I would take the old one back to Big R. That's a company that cares about there products and me as a customer I cant say the same about Big R. read more
