I've never thought one ski shop was better than another. Buyer beware, I've always said. Wrong. This place has my business now, now matter where I live. I went in to ask about demo-ing some skis I'd read about. I'm a 63 year-old expert woman skier. Riley listened, paid attention and made some suggestions. I'm thrilled because now I am the proud owner of the Stoëckli Nela 88s and the Roxa boots I never had even heard of. Pricey? You bet. Worth it? Absolutely. When I first went to them with my new board and old bindings, I just needed mounting plates. They didn't have any of those, and the young man said, "Dude, you need new bindings"...OK, whatever. I got the old bindings mounted to new board elsewhere and proceeded to ride the new board. I definitely rolled over a few times that hurt bad. We'll, then my wife took my board to get a nice tune after 3 or 4 rides. When she went to pickup, the same young man convinced her to buy the new boots. I was quite tentative, since I thought for sure these guys might be just trying to sell equipment that my wife got talked into. My wife came home and said the guys at Boone Mountain agreed to take them back if I didn't like the ride difference. I'm not sure they said that, but if they did, that's pretty bold. So I went for my first ride on newly tuned Proto FR and the Flux bindings yesterday..... Wow, what a difference. The equipment is scary good! The young man really was looking out for me and not just pushing stuff. After first half of first run, ,the words used were Awesome! The best rental experience I've ever had, hands down. The staff are some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable people I've ever met. They gave great recommendations for skis based on previous sets I liked. Very good value for rentals and even hooked us up with some free helmets because our ladies forgot them initially! Unfortunately, Echo Park was unable to open the weekend we visited. Boone refunded our rental purchase because we weren't able to use them. I was not expecting that, and was beyond grateful. I will be returning here anytime I decide to ski in CO!! read more

I drove from Denver after hearing from both REI and Wilderness exchange that this was the place to go for downhill ski rentals. The drive was worth it! The team was extremely knowledgeable and relaxed as they guided me (ultimately) to purchase boots and they threw in the ski rental at no cost. Very helpful and cheerful staff. Aiden was helpful in the sizing of the shoes and selecting skis. The staff also gave good advice on the ski area etc Three points 1) They are very close to Echo Mountain so returns especially are very easy. 2) They have a great policy of billing only for the days that the equipment was used. It mattered to us as the next day was a snow alert day which made access to Echo mountain difficult for out-of-towners like me. We ended up skiing only two days and paid only for two days instead of the three days that we had the equipment. 3) Helmets were in short supply. We ended up going to another place for the helmets. Nash was also very helpful in addressing a minor billing issue. I strongly recommend this place to any visitor to ski area. read more

Been in this shop many times. I always find the staff to be super helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to accomodate including sending me to the upstairs outlet spot to get a better deal. Their ski tuning machine is amazing! I love that the staff offers a libation from the pub upstairs if you are getting fitted for boots. The staff seems to get along well. Great shop, great people! Riley & Casey were amazing...the friendliness and service of a family business that is hard to find. I called 1 week before my ski trip looking to demo a specific ski. Riley called me from the ski hill to personally reserve my demo to make sure the ski I wanted was ready when I arrived in Colorado. I loved the ski so much, I decided to buy a pair. I dropped off my demos in a rush to the airport and the Boone Mtn shop mounted bindings and shipped the new skis to my house. If you don't travel from Denver to get your ski equipment from this business after reading this review/story, you are the type of person who only shops at Walmart (and not knocking those people, btw). I came in for an appointment last Sunday to get custom fitted for ski boots and purchase skis. The boot fitting process was spot on (looking at you Andrew), with them customizing from the inside and out. All while I'm chilling and having an Americano from the coffee shop (they take their coffee seriously which I appreciate) and then a brew (restaurant has good food and beers). I am only in Colorado one week a month so I asked if the skis, bindings, cut poles, etc could be done by the following Friday as I am flying out Saturday. While this isn't a normal turn around time for them, they accommodated without a fuss. Drive up Saturday morning and get there right when they opened. Now, this is where the story turns. They were setting up to have their yearly party with music, brews, etc outside later in the day and were incredibly busy with setting up for all of this, people coming in for season rentals as the season is just about to start, etc. Come to find out, there was a hiccup and they had not put together anything. Let me say at this point that I own multiple businesses, so I understand that sometimes, even the best run and intentioned business will make a mistake. It is impossible for someone or business to be perfect. I let them know it wouldn't be a big deal, I would come back when I travel to Denver in a month (I wasn't going to be using the equipment until that time anyways). They wouldn't allow this and this is how I know how amazing of a company they are. They put all hands on deck, saying they messed up and they would get it done no matter what so I had the skis to leave that morning. Period. Remember I didn't request this or demand it. They went out of their way to fix a (in my mind) minor mistake. Heck, they were doing me a favor by having them ready early anyways. Within minutes, as everyone is running around crazy bc this is a big day for them, I am walking out of the store with everything I had ordered and another stellar Americano. You can tell from the minute you walk in to the minute you leave they care about what they do, are extremely knowledgeable and are a customer first establishment. So many places say that these days but they show it through their actions. Mistakes will happen, it's how someone handles them that shows business/personal ethics and customer service. On top of this, it's a family run shop that has been going for a long time. It is absolutely worth the drive to have a coffee or a beer and pick up some great equipment. If you decide that it isn't worth the drive, I honestly don't know what to tell you. Go to one of the big stores in the Denver area and miss out on an incredible experience and great custom equipment. I will be referring anyone I know to this spot. Thanks to everyone at Boone for your incredible work and I look forward to stopping by sometime on the way to the slopes for another coffee. read more

Boone Mountain Sports is such a great addition to Evergreen. My son and I checked it out a couple of days ago and I was like a kid in a candy store! I bought some great hiking pants, a camel back and my son got some of those crazy Vibram toe shoes. :) He was an in between size and Marcela hooked him up with a great adult pair for 20% off since he is 10, which I thought was so nice. The customer service is excellent and Marcela is an absolute sweetheart. My boyfriend takes his skis to get tuned up there and has nothing but great things to say as well. Though they are always busy this time our year their service is still exceptional. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Rental prices are great. New products all the time.
