Great outdoor area with good beer. Went during the day but will definitely be back for some live music.

Blue collar & Appalachia are a big theme at this brewery. It's half beer half music, Saturdays have a cover for the band which have a huge stage and lighting. Staff and patrons were all very friendly. Tons of space for kids and even a sand pit plus corn hole: Many motorcycles coming in all day too. Beers are just okay hence the knock down rating. We enjoyed it and would come back. It's not a destination for us but if nearby would certainly stop. read more

I had a great visit at Big Rail Brewery! They're a relatively new addition to Grove City, and it's a great place to hang out. I tried three beers and they were all delicious: the porter, the kölsch, and the cream ale. You can do half-pours to create your own flight. The staff were very friendly and were eager to let you taste any of the beers before ordering. They have food trucks on the weekends for hot food. They've got plenty of seating areas: indoors, outside, and in the woods. I really liked that the patio area *didn't* have music, which allowed for easier conversation. I'll definitely be visiting Big Rail every time I come back to Grove City! read more

We had been talking about checking this place out sometime and one of our favorite bands playing gave us the perfect opportunity. They have live music pretty frequently and it looks to be a mix of free and paid shows. The stage is basically nestled in the woods. They have some seating available but you can also bring your own chairs. It's very pretty with the stage and the lights and just an enjoyable place to relax and enjoy the music. They do have a nice size taproom but we didn't spend time inside really other than bathrooms and beer. They also had beer available outside and a food truck on site. Service was friendly and prices were reasonable. They had a decent variety on draft. In my mind though the beers were just ok. So nothing to drive out of your way for but also fine to drink if you are nearby or just want to enjoy some live music in a cool venue. I recommend checking it out and keep an eye on the event calendar to see if something catches your eye. read more

Wow! If you haven't visited in 2024, they've made Big Rail even bigger & better. There is now inside taproom/bar, yes with bathrooms! Oh & inside they do have also some PA seltzers, wines & spirits. A new larger stage in the woods & the smaller stage that was there before. A heated covered tent with tables. Still great music, beer, dog friendly, overall unique place to visit! read more

What a fun relaxing evening we all had enjoying the band that was playing, and the weather was beautiful that night. I don't normally drink, but I did try their light beer which I thought was really good. They had a food truck there, that served burgers and fries. We all thought that they were really good also. I would highly recommend just going there and checking it out! read more

Great venue for an outdoor concert by my favorite local band, but could also picture hanging out in the taproom. Plenty of different seating options outside, but if you're going to see a popular band and want to sit close to the stage area, you may want to bring your own chairs or get there early. Can't speak to the quality of their beer, since I am gluten-free, but they had plenty of other good options for adult beverages, and the prices were reasonable. I noticed that I don't hand out enough 4s and 5s, so I feel like I had to adjust my rating scale. Big Rail is one of all-time favortie breweries, so it should really be a "5". Here's my updated scale: 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here. 4 - I'd drive up to 30 minutes just to come here. 3 - Solid choice if you're in the area. 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices nearby. 1 - Just don't. read more

I'm so glad I found this place. It's a magical little spot in the woods. Everything is outdoors. We were there on a relatively cold night in December. There was a shelter with enclosed tarps and space heaters. That was nice and not too cold. There was also a roaring bonfire. I just thought the vibe was awesome. I only stayed for a (very yummy) drink because it was so cold, but I will visit again in the warm weather! On to the drinks - I was there with my husband and our daughter. We adults both enjoyed our beers a lot. I had the brown and also tried the barleywine which were tasty. My husband had the stout and loved it. They had hot chocolate for my kid - a big plus! They also had a food truck there that was pretty tasty as well. Definitely a spot you should check out. I can't wait to travel up there again. We were heading down the road to Keystone Safari - if you are traveling there this would be a great place to stop before or after. Super cool and unique brewery concept!! Based in the outdoors, almost in the woods behind the building, this allows you to relax and enjoy him with friends. There are fire pits to sit around, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, and a few small covered seats to choose from. Off in the corner are cornhole boards and in the back a big sand box for kids to play and build in. There's also plenty of small stages for musicians to play live music, which really added to the fun atmosphere. It truly feels like a big party while camping or at a park. The beer is purchased out of a trailer where they offer 6 or so options. I went with the Old Blue Lager and enjoyed it. Want too hoppy, instead very refreshing and light. A Mexican food truck also is parked nearby for you to order food. I'd definitely like to come back in the fall to enjoy the leaves and chilled weather around the fire with a cold beer. read more

WOW, I wish I could live here. It's like an oasis of genuine people and beautiful surroundings. The staff and overall atmosphere are absolutely amazing! The band that played (Treebeard Brown) was wonderful and had the audience out of their seats dancing around. Beer was good and venue was pretty awesome. Small indoor space and most of the property is outside so plan accordingly. We saw a band here and the sound is fantastic for an outdoor space. They also have food trucks. It reminded me of camping with beer and music. Lots of fun. read more

Wanting to check out this spot for a while. Came here after doing some hiking at McConnells Mill. Perfect place for after hike beers. The atmosphere at this place is unlike any other brewery I've ever been to. This is certainly a good thing. There were beautiful twinkle lights, fire pits, Many picnic tables and seating areas. It was on the border of the woods and it had camping vibes. In the way you feel after driving a few hours to go camping for the weekend with great friends and you finally get there and can relax, listen to music , and enjoy the vibes of nature with a few cold beers! My husband had the two IPAs on the menu I had a red And a brown ale. Our puppy was also very welcomed at Big Rail. We both really enjoyed our beers and spent a few hours just soaking up the laid-back atmosphere, drinking our beers, and having great conversations. There was also a food truck available and that seems to be on the regular. we will definitely return to this awesome place! read more

What a wonderful place to "catch one's breath". The beer is really good. The food trucks are fun. A regular stop for us now!

This is a very unique outdoor setting in the woods. I was there on Saturday evening. Fantastic beer on tap, live music, several firepits going and plenty of seating. They also had a great food vendor that night. Dress warmly because you are outside. It is very family friendly, they have a sandbox for kids to play in and it is pet friendly (on leash).
