This spot used to be ELITE, but it looks like it's falling thru the cracks. The burger was decent, not good, just decent. The seasoning of the fries were solid, so can't complain there. My soda was 99% ice and 1% soda too! 4 healthy sips and it was gone. However, the service kind of rounded out the experience for me and killed it. I ordered 3 hamburger combos which came out to around $32 give or take. After ordering, I sit down outside, which the floor is super slippery, and I see that a combo pack for 4 is $28??? Now I didn't need 4, but wouldn't you, as the establishment, mention that I could save some money and get more for less? That rubbed me the wrong way, but whatever. What used to be a Compton staple has seriously went downhill.

It says Drive-In, but it's impossible to drive in at this location. When you go into the drive-in way, the window is not open and no one is available to take your order. When you pull up to the Drive-In menu and speaker, there is no one asking you what your order might be. When you pull around the drive-in speaker, you realize there is no Drive in, as there's no way to get out. Why is it called a drive-in restaurant? I had a minute, so I walked up to the window. Be careful not to park near the wall, as it smells like pee. I almost got right back in my car and went somewhere else. However, I was hankering for a full breakfast under $5--you know, like the corner joints make. So upon approach, I found an elderly man with a clean kitchen awaiting my order. He took my order and I thought I would see him cook on the front grill. He went to the back grill, behind the wall I could not see. He reappeared what's the veggie omelette in a bowl ready to pour on grill. The omelette have so many vegetables in it oh, I could not taste the egg. While I waited for my omelette, another young man order fries to go and received them. Another gentleman ordered a burger and fries , and his was readying, as mine was. The place was impeccably clean. The front kitchen was clean, the hallway kitchen was clean, the outside patio was clean...

Very friendly, offered good suggestions and had a general good vibe about them. I am so bad at getting their names. I only remember Joseph and he was cool but our table was handed over to another waitress shortly after arrival and I don't remember her name but she was great. I'm super indecisive, especially with massive menus - Cheesecake Factory is a nightmare - but The Pan had a great variety so it made the choice a bit difficult. I saw they had a cuban sandwich and I froth at the mouth for these but I was convinced to try the loaded hashbrowns. We actually got into a little conversation about the miscommunication between restaurants and customers sometimes because everyone's definition of hashbrown is different. Are they the McDonalds oval shaped golden discs or the shredded and pancake-style flat things? OR are they those weird onion and pepper potatoes that some people call hashbrowns even though they are home fries BUT they're not even fried, they're sauteed so clearly having an identity crisis but anyway... The Pan's loaded hashbrowns are.... the shredded kind! :D Wow, if someone actually broke through my review and read my potato rant... I'm buying you breakfast here... Limit $20 :) Anyway... couldn't help but order my plate with a guava pancake as I've never heard of that before and tried stepping a little out of my comfort zone and trying something a bit different. Was very yummy, although I have my eye on the banana pancakes for next time. Glaze was a little runnier than expected, although I did take a minute to dive into the pancake as I was preoccupied by the hashbrowns - delicious by the way. Hashbrowns came loaded with: cheese, green onion, chopped pieces of bacon (thick kind, not bacon bits!) and diced sausage (turkey sausage is an option, so I'll def opt for that next time). Dish was nicely seasoned, no overpowering spices or unnecessary aiolis - wait, actually it did come with a chili aioli but it was more like a spicy mayo and it was not spicy, so it's a good dish for anyone to enjoy. Only thing was it arrived a bit cold; cheese wasn't thoroughly melted but the flavors compensated for that easily so it wasn't really a bother at all. Dish also lacked grease and for it being absolutely covered in cheese, bacon, and sausage, I was happier than heck that there were no grease pools. Service was good, although they lagged a bit with refills - they get insanely busy though so I get it. Again, they compensated with good vibes, suggestions, overall interactions so I wouldn't worry about a lack of attention here. I would probably not advise against ordering the guava pancake; however, it wasn't anything incredibly special so I'd opt for a different flavor if going the pancake route. I'll be back soon - need to try out that Cuban sandwich and get the name of our waitress! Thanks for having us, was a lovely experience.

It's a small space so the restaurant has a very casual and cozy vibe. The posters and menu does look like it was made with AI which is really off putting. I ordered the Southern and the biscuits and gravy we huge, but surprisingly light and not too dense. It was pretty alright, but country gravy always is elevated by more pepper and some tabasco. The potatoes were well seasoned and the bites with the extra crisp on them were the best. The cinnamon roll pancakes were really tasty and the small bits of burnt cinnamon sugar were really tasty. I was hoping the cream cheese frosting had a bit more cream cheese taste but still good.

The staff are friendly and welcoming. They greet you when you arrive and also say goodbye when you leave, which I really appreciate. They have a separate kids menu with plenty of options. The overall menu is diverse as well. It's not just breakfast, but also tacos, pancakes, sandwiches, and salads. My go-to dish is the Original Loaded Hash Browns. It's really delicious and the portion size is just right. I also tried the Cobb salad with added chicken. It was fresh, but the dressing was a bit heavy and slightly salty. Unfortunately, I found a small piece of plastic in it, but when I mentioned it, they handled it well and removed it from the bill. The music is good, but the speakers don't seem to be in great condition, so the sound quality could be better.
