Breakfast Turkey Croissant with avocado added
    Ebony S.

Our family of 5 ordered breakfast here and was totally disappointed. We ordered 5 turkey croissant sandwich combos. The picture of the sandwich that the restaurant displays on door dash is completely FRAUD. The restaurant name is actually Alexander's Hub Burritos. A total waste of money, completely ruined our breakfast. I only gave it a star because I don't have the option to give NEGATIVE stars. The owner should be ashamed of robbing people out of their money like this. Thanks for nothing

    Music love with food

Food is good, tortas are giant size if you ask for the big one. Inside has tons of music albums, the music is great of whatever they are playing. This is an easy location to get to as it's right before the street light of mayo Ave where you are driving west on Rosecrans Avenue. I believe it's across from a school. You should order to get the good deals that they have in their menu. The tables inside have music albums of some of the most talented people in music history. Go inside and eat in. Go try them out.

The first on the table I cleaned off before they brought me my food. NASTY!

This is the WORST food I have ever tried using the Yelp app. The tables were FILTHY. I have never been to a restaurant no matter how big or small the restaurant may be that I could literally see the dirtiness on a white napkin so excessively like I did just now. My family and I had asada fries and the wet burrito with chips and salsa. Let me tell y'all that it was disgusting. To begin, the salsa they have is very bland, no salt or any flavor like green salsa can be. The asada fries "guacamole" is not really guac its more of a pico de gallo with pieces of avocado. The carne asada and had no flavor and the meat was dry. My daughter and I didn't finish our fries. The wet burrito was cover in the bland green salsa so my wife took a couple of bites and for rid of the rest. In addition we asked to try their chili they use for chili cheese fries and it tasted worse than canned chili. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Service wasn't all that great. The cashier looked like she didn't wamna be there

    Disappointed :/

Disappointed :/ Customer service was great but im sad to say that 80 percent of my burrito were defrosted fries and this was supposed to be a california wet burrito but it jist seems to have FRIES, CHEESE, chicken and green salsa.....

    Carne asada fries for dinner!

Third time ordering take out from Alexander's and it gets better everytime. I ordered the carne asada fries and this time they were on point! The meat was nice and tender not stale or fatty and it was seasoned... it had flavor y'all!!!! So good. Of course, the tortas never disappoint. The horchata was great too. I'll definitely be back again. Highly recommend. PS. Can't wait to try your limited time chili cheese tamales!!!!!

Wow wow wow. First time ever coming here and I decided to get Famosa Torta Cubana. So full of flavor. The sandwiches are huge and so well priced. This is a must try. Looking forward to trying more of their food

Businesses should honestly start closing at their advertised times. You waste people's time when you close early. Don't do that

It was rich, flavorful, and actually tasted homemade. The BBQ was impressive, smoky, tender, and seasoned just right. I really enjoyed it. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor. Good BBQ is hard to find in LA, but this spot gives you that "Dad or your uncle in the backyard on the grill" kind of vibe. Real, comforting, home-style food. Stop by and support a brother!

I've been here a few times before, mainly for the sides, but after this experience I honestly don't know if I'll return. I ordered a lunch chicken plate and was never told it would take over 40 minutes. Had I known, I either wouldn't have ordered or would have asked for a refund much sooner. Meanwhile, customer after customer who ordered after me received their food before I did. When I finally got my order, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the delay. I asked if there was anything they could do for the inconvenience, and the only thing offered was a free slushy. I don't even drink soda. A side dish or something more thoughtful would have made more sense. To make matters worse, when I got home, the chicken portion was very small and the two sides were tiny about the size of dressing cups. It's disappointing because I actually do like their flavors, but good food only goes so far when the customer service experience is this poor.

Couldn't believe what I saw on both Yelp and Apple Maps, 4.8 stars and over 100+ reviews and this spot is in Compton, my city. Didn't even know a spot like this existed. Busted a u-turn going down Alondra so I could go back to Atlantic then make that right and slide to Compton Blvd and make that left. A few streets from there on your right side you'll find boulevard gastropub. Sitting next door to some other business which is right next to a big parking lot which is free by the way. I've parked in this lot at least a couple of times just to go to that taco truck and never noticed gastropub. Immediately when I walked in it was good vibes and the sense of a good atmosphere. I was greeted by the owner and a young lady who was the bartender. The owner is real cool. We had a short conversation I shared with him how I discovered his business and informed him I do reviews as well as post some content on my social media platforms in hopes of businesses receiving more attention and customers. Unfortunately, due to them not having an alcohol or liquor license, some of their drinks such as the cocktails are more so wine based drinks. So please don't come here expecting to get some Don Julio or Hennessy. Ain't gone happen lol. I had a Classic Mojito and enjoyed it. The price was $10 which I found exceptional. The food was delicious. I recommend the Blvd Burger as a go to if you can't decide on anything else. I loved it so much I had to make a video. And definitely try the Voodoo Wings. You won't be disappointed. Just imagine buffalo wings with lemon pepper seasoning. Cuz that's what it is and they're fire. No bs with the ranch dressing too. I'm definitely returning for another visit. I can see this being a new frequent spot to pull up to and hang out. I love the ambiance, my drink, the food here and the customer service. All things to be considered when going out and spending money. What I spent was definitely worth the first time experience.

We had a reservation for six and the hostess greeted us and sat us right away. Our server, Nate, was fantastic. He knew the menu and answered all of our questions. He even explained how some of the drinks were made. Later we found out he was actually one of the bartenders helping out as a server for the night. Which made sense considering how well he knew how the drinks were made. He was attentive and checked on us often to make sure everything was going well. One thing that made him stand out was, he actually conversed with us rather than just asking if we needed anything and then leaving. The Old Fashioned was one of the smoothest and best I've probably ever had. My nephew ordered the Ube Painkiller after Nate described how it was made. I had a sip, and the ube flavor really came through without overpowering the drink and it was perfectly matched with the dark rum, which Nate said came from the Caribbean. The Brussels sprouts had a nice mix of tender and crispy pieces that gave additional texture. The calamari was tender and the pesto style sauce paired real good with it. The Thai curry sea bass was flavorful, flaky, and had the right amount of spice. The cioppino had a rich shellfish flavor in the broth and I appreciated that the tomato base didn't have such an acidic taste. We also shared the tomahawk, which was juicy, cooked perfectly, and had a sprinkle of coarse salt that really brought out the flavor. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was excellent, but Nate's service really made our night special, making us feel right at home.

The hostess was quite sweet when we walked in. As we had our little fur baby with us, we were seated at one of the tables on the patio. It was still early and that in-between time so it was pretty quiet. A large party was set up next to us. Melinda took care of us and she was the sweetest. Happy hour was happening which we took advantage of. It was 4.00 off appetizer, 2.00 off draft wine and beer. Also, they made sure that our little pup was well taken care of as well. Food wise, an order of the poke wrap. Nice chunks of ahi with a scoop of rice, lettuce, avocado and wasabi sauce. It was good but a little messy. As it would be with all of the lettuce wraps. The steamed mussels which is a must. The broth was delicious and served with two nice thick slices of toasted bread. Decent size mussels cooked deliciously in the broth. A must try. Lastly the calamari which was tossed with jalapeños. Both deep fried and quite tasty. Nice crunch to it but not overly cooked. That was also served with two dipping sauce. Everything was delicious. Towards the end of the meal, Melinda noticed that a bug was in my wine which she was very sweet about and made sure to take care of it. The simple little gesture was greatly appreciative. The whole experience was excellent. Everyone was the sweetest and friendliest. Will definitely be back.

Trying several items on the menu provided us a nice sampling of what they have to offer. We enjoyed everything we ordered. My favorite was probably the Brussel sprouts as they were cooked to perfection and not sweet like most restaurants serve them. A close 2nd was the chicken parmesan served over zucchini noodles. The final item ordered was a mushroom pasta with shrimp. The shrimp were fantastic with a light char and perfect flavoring. The pasta was good. It was a bit to spicy for me with the chili oil so I only had a small portion. The inside is simple yet inviting with an open layout. They seemed a bit short staffed, but every one was hustling and honestly we were well taken care of. It did look quite busy on the patio when we checked in with the hostess. We were informed that it would prob be about 20 minutes or so for a table and if we wanted to wait at the bar. Exactly what we did. Bar area had maybe 5/6 hi top chairs that look onto the bar. Gabriel and Francisco who were working was knocking the drinks out one by one. Sitting there and just watching them create magic for everyone, it was quite amusing. Seeing how it's made and presented with precise detail, it was an art. While waiting for the table we started off with the raspberry lychee martini and the spicy margaritas. Both were great. The right amount of kick with each sip. Gabriel was knocking them out one by one and man was he busy. Fransisco took are of us while we were eating which we ended up just having our dinner at the bar instead. The last time I remembered the chicken Parmesan which was excellent. So we started off with the grilled prawns as a starters. Five prawns in a skewers and grilled with a delicious sauce accompanied. It was tasty and quite delicious. Decent size and meaty for each bite. Entrees was a little mishap as our meal was mistakenly given to the party next to us which they enjoyed. Honesty mistake but we laughed it off. Kitchen was informed and a rushed was put on our order. We weren't in a rush so it was fine with us. They apologized and graciously offered us a dessert after dinner. Something simple but very graceful for the honest mistake. Entrees, the wild mushrooms pasta which was quite tasty and pretty decent in size. The cream sauce which wasn't too over powering the meal was great. Each bite was very tasty. Then there was the chicken Parmesan which why we were here and expecting. The last visit it was excellent with grilled broccolini, slices of tomatoes on top and mozzarella cheese and onto spaghetti pasta. It was great. Thinking it would be the same this time which it wasn't. This visit, it was just served with squash pasta and buffalo mozzarella on top. Honestly it wasn't what I expected, somewhat of a little disappointed. Chicken was good don't get me wrong. But the hot meat with sauce and then you have literally COLD squash pasta paired with it. It was a little underwhelming. Overall, we still had a nice experience. The place was pretty full and of course the lakers were on so it was fun seeing everyone cheering them on. Bar seating for a meal was great as we had fun conversations with both Gabriel and Francisco. Plus they were cranking them drinks out one by one. Excellent in what they do. The drinks were great, grilled prawns and wild mushrooms pastas were excellent. Chicken parm, this time was a miss. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Also the dessert, highly recommend the Cinnabon with vanilla ice cream. Wow, it went down very well. Hoping next time will outdo this.
