I stopped in with some colleagues for lunch, not really sure what to expect, and whatever expectations I had were easily surpassed. It's a tiny little shop, and when we went there was just one person working, so a busy guy for sure, but there was not much of a line when we went. We parked and waited as he helped someone at the drive through, and then he came over and took our orders. Both colleagues got the Brisket Mac and Cheese bowls and I got a two meat platter. The two meat platter comes with your choice of pulled pork, brisket, smoked sausage, smoked chicken, and my understanding is on Friday through Sunday you can get three ribs. I opted for the pulled pork and brisket. It also comes with a beverage, two sides and a piece of cornbread. So after paying it took maybe 4-5 minutes for our food to come out and we chose to eat at a picnic table there. I was impressed by the heft of the bag, but honestly didn't fully appreciate the portion sizes until we were seated. Where to begin? I guess I'll start with the star of the show, the brisket. I only got one piece of brisket, but man was it a giant chunk of meat. Fatty on top, nice black bark on it, and as tender as can be. I did use a knife on it, but it took no effort, that's just because I wanted bite sized pieces rather than how it naturally shredded with my fork. Absolutely delicious, smoky but not overpowering, salty in the best way possible, and just so much juicy goodness. The pork was nicely shredded with bits of its bark still interspersed throughout, and my what a pile of porky goodness. Even the sides were massive! I am a big guy, I eat a lot, I didn't even come close to finishing my meal. The Mac and cheese was also delicious, soft, but baked so there were crispy bits, cheesy, ooey gooey perfection. The beans were fine, nothing wrong with them either, and the cornbread was soft and sweet too, just what you want to offset all the richness from the meats. I ordered both their housemade bbq sauces too, and they were very good, but I really didn't need them, everything was great on its own. Boy do I wish I found this place sooner. Wow, what a meal!

The food is very good. We tried three different wing flavors. The house made buffalo, the Thai chili, and the citrus jerk wings. They fell off the bone and were delicious. I would have to say the best wings I've had, these really did stand out, and would say they are worth trying. They are a bit pricier than other places wings, but the flavor is there. What we really came here for was the burger, we've been trying every place that the Akron Beacon Journal did a tournament for to determine our own favorite, without nostalgia influencing our decisions. The burger was fantastic. The meat is seasoned well and the bread was soft and fluffy. The sauce tasted homemade and unique, but didn't take away from the burger. The pickles on it as well are homemade or made from a company nearby, but they're also very good and different than any you get at the store. I will definitely be back. This was very good on a day where we stopped at 3 places and this happened to be the last.

I moved to Cleveland from Metro Detroit where there is a plethora of amazing Vietnamese restaurants…read moreand I've yet to find a good one here. I went to Kent for an adventure, found Hue Banh Mi & Pho on Yelp! so I gave it a go. When I walked through the door I knew the food was going to be good because it smelled like I was in the kitchen hovering over fresh cut veg, fish sauce and lime. Yum. I got two pork banh mi and summer rolls. I ate half a sandwich and one roll at a nearby park and had the other half for dinner when I got home. The bread was perfect--crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The veg was crisp and refreshing and the pork delicious, tender and moist. The summer roll was good, peanut sauce was perfect and I got a side of nước chấm so I could double dip. I had the second sandwich for breakfast.* I happily saw they put mayo on the banh mi so I asked for none and they made it without. Yay or otherwise yuk. I will make a special 55 minute trip to eat here again. *I go between Detroit and Cleveland on the regular so I usually get a banh mi for the road and one for the next day. Hear me out--deconstruct the sandwich and wrap the veg in a moist paper towel and seal in a glass jar. Store the bread in the paper bag it came in and put the meat away as you normally would. The next day wet the paper bag and put the bread in the oven for about 5 mins. Reheat the meat on the stove top, reassemble and enjoy.

The carrots and jalapenos were fresh. The baguette was both slightly crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. This would be a solid 4 in NYC. In Kent, OH... it's a well deserved 5 stars.
