We had the most amazing experience in Yellow Stone Park, thanks to Chuck, Kevin and Andrea the owner of Big Sky Adventures and Tours . Chuck and Kevin were very knowledgeable, thoughtful and professional. The tour was very comfortable and it is the absolute best way to experience Yellowstone! Entering through the West Entrance puts you right in the middle of the action. Chuck and Kevin were an absolute wealth of knowledge, pointing out things we never would have noticed on our own--from the complex geology of the geyser basins to the history of the park. We had the great of watching a group of bison walking near by our van. The tour was incredibly well-paced. We walked the boardwalks at the Lower Geyser Basin, stood in awe of the vibrant colors at the Grand Prismatic overlook, and caught Old Faithful's eruption perfectly on time and without crowds. Having a delicious lunch provided meant we didn't have to waste time fighting crowds at the park cafeterias, by the way, my curry chicken salad was absolutely delicious! Being able to sit back, look out the large windows of the super comfortable van, and let someone else navigate the park roads made this a stress-free, unforgettable bucket-list trip. I could NOT reccomend this company more. I would give them 10 stars. From the beginning when we called and spoke to Andrea she was so helpful and so knowledgeable went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Answered all of our questions and even recommended our air b&b that was the PERFECT location and so perfect. I was nervous about the day cause I didn't know what to expect but our tour guide Patty was beyond AMAZING. They cater it to your needs and she saw how nervous the hikes made me with my kids so we didn't do much heavy hiking at all. My kids LOVED her and haven't stopped talking about her like she's a friend. She was so knowledgeable, so friendly and made the day so much better than expected. Another thing that made me nervous was the provided lunch, cause I didn't know what it was and OMG it was soooo delicious. And to end the drive home with some delicious Uncle Dan's (I THINK) home made cookies. They were the best. I have already recommended this company and especially Patty to friends that will be coming in the Fall. Don't let the price scare you it is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. read more

We recently went to Yellowstone and were very fortunate to have Andrea as our guide from Big Sky Adventures and Tours. We utilized the "our car" option where she jumped in our car and guided us through the park. We had researched it for several months and to be honest, Yellowstone was looking overwhelming with all of the options. So by using Andrea's services, she was able to pinpoint and customize our tour to exactly what we wanted to do. IT WAS SPECTACULAR! She is an amazing job of filling in all sorts of details and info that really enriched our experience. It made our trip to Yellowstone totally memorable. She also took us to several places off the beaten path that were absolutely gorgeous. We saw waterfalls, wildlife, amazing terrain and unbelievable water features. She told us many stories about the history and lore of Yellowstone. We HAD A WONDERFUL TIME because Andrea was there. She is the most friendly person and she is totally passionate about Yellowstone. My group of 5 (2adults, 3 teenagers) did the Yellowstone Wildlife Tour to Mammoth Springs. Denise was our guide, and she was amazing! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the area as well as landforms and wildlife. She was accommodating and helpful at all times. I did not expect much from a packed lunch, but it was absolutely delicious (even had a wonderful Keto option), and the tomato soup hit the spot! Dan's cookies were included, and my kids (teenagers= always hungry) recognized those cookies from them being sold around the Big Sky Resort, so they were loving that. It turns out that Dan is Denise's husband, so I imagine that is a regular lunch treat on these excursions. Yellowstone and its history and beauty speaks for itself, but if you want incredibly kind and knowledgeable guides, I recommend Big Sky Adventures & Tours. From payment at the beginning with Andrea to drop-off from our tour with Denise, everything was seamless and wonderful! We plan to be back! read more

I have done two cross-country ski tours with this company. One with Denise and one with Andrea, and both women have a unique ability to make every one of all abilities feel comfortable and confident. They are both very knowledable and I came away with a broadened understanding of the Yellowstone eco-system and wildlife. I am now totally hooked on backcountry nordic skiing after touring with these ladies. After a decent climb to the top of a hill, Denise set up a camp complete with hot tea and biscotti. We discussed snow-pack, avalanche precautions, resident birds, identifying animal tracks......I could go on and on. If you are on the fence about hiring a guide to do your tour of Yellowstone in summer or winter, I would say let Big Sky Adventures and Tours show you the wonders of this truly spectacular park. You honestly don't know what you are missing...but they do, and they will fill you in and give you a whole new appreciation for our natural environment. read more

We spent 2 full days with knowledgeable, friendly, patient, skilled guides. Since this was an independent tour, each full day was designed to our specifications (1 designed around wild life viewing and hiking, the second, hiking and waterfalls, definitely filled with many Kodak moments) Each day was special, and the guides were sensitive to our endurance and level of expertise. As an added bonus, our guides helped select trails for us to hike independently during the 3 additional days we were in Yellowstone. The lunch they provided for each day was perfect, featuring local produce, cheese, bread, meat, fruit and cookies. A high quality spread designed to satisfy all tastes. We had an amazing day with Denise as our guide on a hiking trip in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone Park. We have spent considerable time in Yellowstone over the last 35 years primarily fly fishing and taking our friends and family into the Park. Denise is well-versed in the history of the Park and knew where to look for animals and pointed out features that were new to us. We spent about 4 hours and about 10 hours in the car with her and the conversation never lagged. She has a knack for relating to people and sharing the story of Yellowstone, which invites one to want to learn more. The hike was well-paced and lunch was fantastic! I booked a half-day snowshoe tour 3/10/25. Laurren picked me up at our Airbnb and took me to spot inside Yellowstone for our hike. She had a whole basket of snacks for me to choose from before we hit the trail. She was super conversational and very knowledgeable about the history of the area and wildlife ecology. It was clear she was passionate about her job and the state of Montana. I absolutely would do this again and would request her. I love to hike and get a good workout in. Snowshoeing checked both boxes...especially the workout part...but, in a good way! My experience is that this is a well run company that pays attention to details and works hard to deliver a memorable adventure. read more

We had a wonderful day with Chuck touring Yellowstone from the West Yellowstone gate. He was very knowledgeable about the park and it's wildlife. We saw osprey, elk, bison, and grizzly bears (oh my!) Chuck did a fabulous job engaging my elementary age kiddos, as well as my husband and myself. The snacks and lunch that were provided were delicious, healthy, and allergy-safe. We then had a great half day hike with Mike and Rob, who picked a perfect trail for our family. We felt safe and supported, and we enjoyed learning all about the terrain, the plants, and the animals in the park. I took a day long tour with Denise and Andrea to Yellowstone in September. We were a big group and this was my third (and favorite) trip to Yellowstone. I learned so much from these incredible women! BSAT is an incredible team of guides to tour with. Their knowledge of Yellowstone and surrounding areas is fantastic. They are extremely flexible with the day's events and make sure that everyone, regardless of age or ability, has a fantastic time. We did a 3-day cross country ski tour and had a blast. Our family took the Yellowstone: Mammoth Hot Springs tour. We took the tour on a Wednesday to break up a week of skiing and rest our legs. Andrea was an amazing guide, sharing her wealth of knowledge on history, nature, and ecology. She was engaging and entertaining. We spent a full day with Denise & Laurren exploring Yellowstone National Park. Both ladies are incredibly knowledgeable on both Montana's & the park's history. Even more importantly, Denise & Laurren are personable! They connected with every age in our group, adults, college, high school, & middle school. Had a wonderful day touring Yellowstone without the crowds. It was convenient leaving from Big Sky and then traveled by snowcoach to Old Faithful.
