Six + stars for the Deli. 0 for me. I've driven by this place for years to visit eastern MT. It was only last fall when I tried them. excellent san and everything else. For newcomers, go to sandwich counter, fill out your sandwich choice. Then go shop in the store for drinks, chips or anything else they have. They call your name, pick up sandwich and go to the check out to pay for everything. You can eat at their tables or on road. Even when very busy, they whip out the best sandwiches. We loved this place. It reminded us of oak glen in California. I ordered a turkey and sweet Lebanon on sourdough with marble and pepper jack cheese. The dressing I chose was BSD house sauce and Salt and pepper. My toppings were lettuce, alfalfa sprouts, tomato pickles, and banana peppers. The half sandwich was full of meat and cheese a generous portion. I got a small lobster soup and it was perfect. So good. I also ordered a drink of the week hot tea. Rats! I hate leaving negative reviews. We really wanted to like this stop. Starting with CONS: *Confusing for 1st timers! Typically, you walk into a place set up like this one, find your way to the counter, make your choices and order. What WASN'T clear was that you walk down to where it looked like the sandwiches were being made, pick up a slip of paper, check off your choices & deposit it in a basket. It's ok for anyone who's been here before but to first timers, it can be very frustrating. I learned this after I went down to the end where you order & pay just to be ignored by 2 employees as I patiently stood looking at them, trying to make eye contact. Walked away and finally saw someone filling out a slip so I figured it out. Step 1. *You can't pay for your sandwich at the sandwich counter. You wander around with your sandwich until you discover that the register in the middle of the store is also where you need to pay. *Sandwich was half made. Got out to the car, took a bite of sandwich only to learn they didn't put Honey Mustard, Lettuce or Pickles. Just meat, cheese & mayo. Went back into store walked up to one of the sandwich makers, showed her the order slip & the sandwich. She apologized & offered to take my sandwich back to her side of the counter & add it on. I guess health codes are a lot different in MT. I declined & just asked her to put the missing lettuce & pickles into a container & I would finish assembling it out in the car. No problem. PROS: *The bread was so tender and fresh! *Tons of meat! *Tons of cheese! *A generous amount of Mayo! What they did to, they did it well. This was really our last chance at food before arriving at Shelby. I doubt we'll stop through here again. read more

Best ham and cheese sandwich on the freshest bread ever! Worth the drive from Great Falls to this small deli in Vaughn MT. Tuesdays soup was the white bean chicken chili which was very good. The sourdough bread I chose for my sandwich was so fresh which made the sandwich taste that much better. To top off our lunch we had a Strawberry Rhubarb fried pie.. yummy AND the huckleberry ice cream. No dinner for us that night. Nice relaxing environment with great sandwiches and desserts. read more

Plenty of parking and easy access. They have an espresso machine and many coffee options also. We will be stopping back when in the area again. I am truly, disappointed. I purchased three pies for Thanksgiving dinner. My family truly appreciates dessert. I was heartbroken when we cut into two of the pies. The pecan pie was not set in the center and was liquid. No one would eat it. The pumpkin looked like it was baked in layers. I was told by my family that it tasted okay but not great. You know your desserts are not a hit when no one wants to take them home. On the hand, I did order dinner rolls, and they were popular. I won't make this mistake again read more

Our first visit to Montana and we had the best huckleberry muffins. Oh my goodness those were worth the drive from Columbia Falls. They were so delicious as well as the chocolate caramel apple covered in pecans. The apple was delicious under all that sweetness. Highly recommend a stop here. read more

So pissed off. Saw this place on Backroads Montana. Planned our trip around this place to eat. Checked Yelp and it said we are open till 5:30. Arrived a little after 2:00 only to find it closed for a wedding! Who gets married on a Tuesday? Like you couldn't update your website or Yelp saying you will be closed? The least you could have done is left some sandwiches with the farmers market folks. Car after car coming up and trying the door - losing so much business today. This deli came highly recommended by a realtor we are working with. She was spot on! We arrived just at closing so we weren't able to get one of the sandwiches, which are apparently phenomenal because everything was cleaned and put away. We were however able to get a ham quiche which one of the deli ladies heated up for us. Remember, it's now past closing and everyone wants to go home but she went out of her way to make our experience as great as possible. I'd say it was off the charts great but that would be a huge understatement. It was incredible!!! Unfortunately they are closed for the rest of our visit to the area, otherwise we'd be coming back for another quiche! Many thanks to the staff for providing a great meal & a tremendous experience. First off the food is very good don't get me wrong. But their is just something different about the environment. The staff is so rude. Their are some nice staff but the cashier always has an additive when you ask her anything. They have raised their prices and lowered there proportions. Their thrash cans are always over filled which attract bees and fly's .It is kind of sad to see such an amazing deli get turned into a place I don't ever want to return to! read more

Went on a road trip and stopped at this deli on the way home. I saw this deli had a 5 star rating online and thought the stop would be worth it. It was amazing and exceeding my expectations! I had the the Healthy Betty Latte with oat milk and it was hands down the best coffee I have ever had. Very smooth and the most decent price coffee I have paid for! I paid $4.25 for a large! I even went back the next day for a second and had a sourdough turkey sandwich. Not only is this place a little deli it's also a homemade Amish market! I bought noodles and cinnamon covered pretzels. The staff is very nice as well. If I didn't live 14 hours away, I would come here every day! read more

Absolutely wonderful place to eat and shop. They are unique in what they carry, bulk items and specialty meats and cheeses. The Amish popcorn is fantastic! We bought sandwiches made with the specialty meats and cheeses made to order. The sandwiches also come with your choice of bread. This place is a hidden gem!
