My neck pain had turned me into a person who was in consistently in fight or flight mode, tightening around the affected areas, not able to take a full breath, using substances to enjoy a couple hours a day where I was not in pain. Being in that constricted state had a ripple effect, causing anxiety and social isolation because I could not hold my attention long enough to enjoy conversation as I had to keep my body moving to distract from pain. I could no longer sit down long enough to enjoy watching tv because I only felt some relief when I was laying flat on my back on a hard surface or when standing. It was a terrible way to live. My depression is easing, and I feel hope for a future where I can resume being me again. I have been to several other chiropractors in the past and none brought lasting relief. Chad Kay, my therapist, immediately sensed this and put me at ease by tailoring a rehab program specifically to me and my recovery process. He helped me ease into a schedule and program that I was able to work at my own pace and at my own pain threshold. And while I loved the one-on-one therapy, I also appreciated the exercise program he put together for me to work on at home. Even more than the surgery, I credit NRPT and the incredible staff of physical therapists there with helping me regain 100% range of motion in my shoulder. In addition to the physical therapy, I truly appreciated the office staff and their willingness to work with my insurance company and accomodate my work schedule when it came scheduling my PT sessions. Bottom Line: within 3 months I was good as new and I actually miss not seeing my good friends at NRPT. I was in there from 12 to 4 it went by so fast. Shout out to the anesthesiologist for keeping me out the entire time. Same team that worked on me for the first surgery worked on me yesterday too. I forgot I've already asked her to please make sure I stay asleep through it. She goes "I know, you ask every time" no joke turned me red. They are great surgeons and have an amazing work atmosphere. The professionalism added with their personalities and welcoming attitude from all staff was outstanding. And I can confidently say, I really don't like Drs. The staff disregarded this, skipped an exam, and said it was normal. I ended up in the ER the next day for emergency surgery due to a failed abortion. When I called the clinic after my surgery, I was told staff did nothing wrong. Blue Mountain clinic made a difficult experience even worse.
