Great place for causal dinning. Started off with the stuffed mushrooms (they were to die for) I would go back just for them. Ordered a steak for dinner and it was just the way I like it. We can't wait to go back. I can see were the waitress my be slowed down, this place is big and if it packed it may take a little more time to get your food, But it's worth it. read more

My wife and I had about twenty minutes to stop for a drink. Sat at the bar for 15 minutes before the bartender actually saw us and said, "sorry I'm so busy." For the past 30 years we've been going to Hemlock Lake Campground in the summer, and this nearby restaurant is a family favorite. Great food, reasonable prices, a varied menu, and an extensive selection of beers. One of the best salad bars around. In the winter it is also a favored destination for snowmobiles as the restaurant is close to the trails. It's not unusual to see 30 sleds parked behind the place. The kids and I enjoy Big T but my husband dislikes it. We talked him into going there for a family dinner on Saturday night. Big mistake! Despite it not seeming very crowded, our food took over 45 minutes to arrive. I asked the nice waitress about it and she shared that there were 2 large groups in the back. My mother-in-law ordered the perch basket which had small, dried out portions. She agreed with my husband that we should not return to Big T in the future. Darn it! read more

Years ago Big T was a great place to eat. The current owner ran it into the ground. Now it's just frozen-fried foods - no real cooks. What's worse than the food is the management. Worst customer service (or lack of more accurately) I have ever experienced. Went out for dinner / drinks with my sister. My sister ordered the perch after being told it was 'fresh'. Well, it was certainly not fresh and tasted terrible. Ate a couple bites and couldn't continue. Complained to the bartender/waitress and she was instantly defensive and rude about it. Then the so-called manager came over and had the same attitude. Said that no one ever complained before, so it must just be my sister. Although she barely touched the food, they charged her in-full for the meal. Never apologized or asked if they could get her something different to eat. Inexcusable attitudes. My sister and I both waited tables for years. My husband worked in restaurant management for years also. We are not hard to please, very rarely complain about anything, as we know how hard the job is first hand and are extremely considerate of wait staff. This was the first time I have ever 'stiffed' a waiter in my 34 years. I have never been so appalled as I was with their wait staff - and more so the so-called 'manager'. Completely unprofessional. I will never step foot in Big T again, and will discourage anyone else from going there. read more

Excellent food and service. Bustling with business and under all that pressure the waiters were excellent. Kid and Family friendly environment with a sports bar for the guys. Excellent selection of beer. The server was nice and always there to help. The only negative thing was that the setting was a little dirty. read more

Worst service ever. 45 minutes to tell us they were out of fish. Five nearby tables seated after us were served, paid and left before we got to reorder. The manager came over and obviously didn't care and excused the 90 minute wait for our food by telling us how busy they were. Took a nice ride over here. Had a half were burrito and my wife had the single big t burger. They were both good. We both had dessert which was awesome. I had the death by chocolate brownie and she had the Carmel peach cobbler. The service was very slow but the good was good. We'll go back. read more

I'm very disappointed. I would give it no stars if I could. I ate there last night after a candlelight for my friends dead son. From first glance it looked like a decent place, but was I wrong... the service is TERRIBLE!! I'm not just saying that either. It was AWFUL!! First of all, I have been serving for a few years now and I can't believe what I experienced last night. Now, I get if the restaurant is busy it's hard to attend to your table but they really weren't that busy. Our waitress took forever just to take our drink order and then drinks took a while. She forgot my tables drink orders!! Like wtf!! We also waited an hour and a half for our food. Like this is ridiculous!! It shouldn't be like this at all. She not only kept forgetting about us but didn't even care!! The manager was straight up rude!!so the mom went off and the server said smart ass comments back to her. She is mourning the loss of her son and the servers were so rude!! I will never go back here again!! I don't recommend anyone to come here. The food isn't that great. My home fries were burnt and not seasoned and the mom didn't even get her food, after our server said she did. Also, after the shitty service they gave us the bills and omg gratuity was already added!! They did not deserve a tip at all and normally I'm super nice with tipping bc I know how it is. But the servers were freaking terrible. The only person who was nice to us was the bus boy. He was very kind and I wish he would have been our server. read more

This should be a five star review...good menu, comfortable atmosphere, easy winning Keno, but...management is from the dark ages with its bitter and nasty treatment of the employees. We saw the manager (possibly owner?) bark at waitstaff, spend a busy Saturday sitting in a booth eating cake, while staff rushed around, (she kept popping up to check the host stand, so she wasn't "on break" for an hour), literally snap her fingers to hustle, as an employee was getting a band aid on her cut arm, and just striking fear in the people who worked there. My friend asked our waitress for a special order and the waitress said, "I'll ask the cook, but I might get in trouble." Through the dinner we engaged her to hear the other horror stories. Small town without a lot of job opptys for these people...ugh. We responded with big tips but hard to feel great about eating somewhere that does this. If you eat here, tip big and pull the manager aside and compliment your server (if deserved). read more

I usually love big t I go there often actually, but the last time I went I had the worst service I have ever had in my years of going there. She was a young girl with glasses and brown hair she was bar tending. She showed barely any attention to us at all and we felt like we were an inconvenience to her even though we were spending money. She was too busy with her regulars to have a quick conversation with us, or even pay attention to our needs. She was rude and lacked to give us any attention, she was more interested in having laughs with the staff than making money and doing her job. The food was fine even though it did come out not to our specifications that we have asked of her, but it seemed like she didn't care at all and we were a burden to her night. This is a more frequent happening nowadays at big t which is unfortunate because we used to really enjoy this hometown restaurant. read more

The food and beer selection are always great. However, I can't say the same for the wait staff. The service is hit or miss.

Lived in Lawton for years , and have ate there food often. Recently , there potato skins have been Outstanding. Twice we have ordered from them. Decent sandwiches also. read more

I have been eating here since the early 90's. Food is excellent but even better when Dave Raymond is cooking noon to 3pm ish weekdays. Dave is a relative of the owner, and by far, the best cook they have. I am in love with the Big T burger but Dave can cook anything to perfection. When Dave isn't cooking food is still good, but many of the other cooks work at a tire shop (Boven's Tire) by day, and cook evenings/nights. To me that leaves a little to be desired (my reasoning for 4 stars instead of 5), so I make sure to make it in while Dave is cooking. Make sure to read up on Tommy Tetusski while ur there! If u like beer the have an international selection and even a beer club where u drink all if them (don't try this in one sitting pls lol) and your name is added to a plaque on the wall just inside of the main st. door entrance.
