First visit tonight for take out. Making a choice was a huge challenge. Went with the French Dip, containing roast rib eye, toasted onions and provolone cheese. They asked if I wanted the sub roll toasted - made sense to me. Served with generous cup of flavorful au jus. It was great - some more onions would make it perfect. Very good roll. Friendly service. My wife and I stopped into Ruby's for a sandwich. I had the Vito toasted. My wife had the Chipotle Chicken not toasted. The sandwiches were very good. Ruby's is the perfect sandwich stop in a beautiful town. The staff is amazing, and the service is just as stellar.

Food: I ordered the Reuben with chips and a drink, while my girl got the French Dip and a bottled water. The Reuben was served on swirled rye. The ratio of cheese to meat clearly favored the cheese, the meat was decent but not exceptional, the Swiss cheese tasted bland rather than sharp, but the sauerkraut was properly tangy. If there was Thousand Island dressing present, I could not taste it. I would compare the Reuben with the Reubens that Arby's offers, except twice as expensive. The chips were the highlight: Michigan Cherry BBQ Potato Chips, presumably from Great Lakes. I regret not trying this chip sooner. As my girl stood nearby, she whispered to me, "Bet he forgets the au jus." And the young man who took our order and prepared the sandwiches did forget. But once it was pointed out, the au jus was retrieved. My girl thought it was a good French Dip. The sub roll was substantial, the beef was rare, and the au jus was tasty without being too salty. She thought there were too few onions, but didn't mind because the rest of the sandwich was tasty. Service: Businesslike. Impressions: Counter service, obviously. There are stools and small tables at the front, and three picnic tables outside in the back. On this day, with afternoon temperatures reaching 90 degrees, the picnic tables begged for some shade from an awning or umbrellas. The interior was cool, with a room A/C unit blasting out air. With two sandwiches, one side, & 2 drinks, it came to about $24. Overall, the meal was satisfying even if it was not without fault. We decided to eat at a picnic table in the shade on the strip of land along Maple Lake near the State Police Post, where we watched two sets of swan parents and their babies. read more

Heard about Ruby's from my SO, so I took her there for lunch. Food economics being what they are we have found ourselves disappointed with a few sub shops. Today, however, we have found a winner!! First up was the meat to bread ratio that favored gredients not bun. Great! Ingredient freashness great without wilting veggies! Greetings and friendliness was pleasant. (Young counterperson spoke with clarity and volume so this old man could hear, thank you, halleluya!) Fresh tater chips w/housedip: Grrreat! The meal were adollar bargain and for us next time splitting a sammy would be filling!! Local color, local vibes and, today, out of the 91F in shade! We will return!! This place had surprisingly good vegetarian options--I did a build your own sandwich option and got a toasted ciabatta with hummus, cheese, and some veggies. They make the sandwiches pretty fast and the staff are friendly. They also have a good ice cream selection read more

Nice new addition to Paw Paw. Very clean and nice looking place with super nice people who took and prepared my order. Fast service and good food. Very generous sandwich ingredients and homemade chips. Chips came with homemade chip dip. I will definitely be back to try other sandwiches and sides. read more

Got the coffee caramel crunch ice cream, it was so good. My boyfriend got the raspberry rendezvous, not pictured, easily one of their best flavors. Only gave three stars cause it's a sandwich shop and I didn't get any food. May be back for a sandwich. Otherwise I would still recommend for a local sandwich shop. Always looking to try new things, I took the drive from Kalamazoo, and wasn't disappointed, prices are about what you would expect to pay for a sandwich, seem to be good quality ingredients, I enjoyed my two horse sandwich very much, the homemade chips. Do not skip out on this place if you find yourself in Paw Paw... I only got the ice cream but it was prob the best I've had in the area. So many good & interesting flavors and the ice cream was just super fresh. I didn't try the sandwiches but I will be back- hopefully they are just as good as the ice cream. read more

Oh my gosh I went in for the first time, AMAZING customer server, great mood, happy vibes, then the sandwich! I can't remember exactly what I got but it melted in my mouth, the ciabatta, bread was so soft yet crispy! It's very cute and small, feels very homey!
