The customer service here is ridiculously poor. Speaking to paying customers aggressively while we bring our family pets and money here is insane. Not to mention you did performed a horrible service to began with. I've never been so disappointed with the lack of respect and customer service that is provided here. My 3 experiences here have been bittersweet. The dog grooming service was very affordable and flexible. The groomer was nice, thorough and professional. My visit to the feed store was another story. The lady at the front desk was not helpful at all. I asked for suggestions for toys for my puppy. She said you know your dog better than anyone and pointed me to the back. I later realized this was the owner. I called days later to inquire about a product and asked if I could come in to grab what was recommended. She said there wasn't time to answer the thousands of questions about the products, and that the employees have mouths to feed and places to go, letting me know it was not a good time to come. I would have taken a simple no ma'am please come back tomorrow. From her voice, it was the same lady who I asked for help previously. They have good and affordable products, but the owner needs to work on her people skills. She comes off very rude and like customers are a bother. I most likely won't be returning here. read more

Big Tex Feed Store will forever have my business. I called 5 minutes before closing because I was sitting in horrible traffic just a few minutes up the road. The young lady simply took my card over the phone & put aside a bag of Victor Dog Food for me. Now I'm upset that I didn't buy two! Every time I go into Big Tex they have exactly what I need. Big Tex Feed is absolutely a terrible company to leave your dogs at for boarding. They are not flexible at all, do not have an updated process to accommodate dog parents needs from: daily pictures, comfortable sleeping arrangement and customer service. I have a service dog and I live down the road maybe 2 minutes, I wanted to check this place out and the ladies their were wonderful and I spent 30 minutes picking out a harness and collar for my service dog because they have a really good selection Definitely will be back and my service dog loved it here so we will be back for sure ! I walked in to Big Tex feed this morning (my second time to date) in hopes of finding quality dog food specifically for my dog which suffers from skin allergies typical of bull dog types. While reading through the labels I was asked if I needed help and I explained to him what I was trying to accomplish. The worker discussed with me his opinions on the matter without pushing them onto me and wasn't afraid to admit that he would need to ask his co worker for advise. He was very knowledgeable but his boss, Robert, seemed to know the ingredient lists along with their respective protein and fat percentages by heart which was a huge help to me because I would have stood there reading labels for an hour. This is the second time I've gotten the chance to discuss the diet of working class/ athletic breeds with Robert and each time I've learned something new. He pointed towards dog foods that he thought would help with my dogs allergies without automatically pointing out the "super premium" ones which I appreciate. I did ,however, end up switching to the premium version because their prices are extremely reasonable. If you have an athletic, working dog, or are just one of those owners who are conscious of what they feed their dogs you should check this place out. All the workers here are easily 10 times more experienced and knowledgeable than anyone working at Petco or PetSmart and they don't sell anything they wouldn't be feeding their dogs. Furthermore, almost all of their inventory cannot be found at your local pet store.They also carry ,primal, a quality raw frozen alternative. They offer loyalty discounts if you sign up which is nice too. As I was about to put my purchase in the trunk I was stopped by Robert who handed me a generous supply of vitamins that he felt can help with my dog's allergies all for free. Sure you can say he was just trying to make an extra sale but if it does work, you can bet I'll be purchasing them from Big Tex. read more

I've been to big Tex twice. The Hispanic lady at the counter was very friendly and informative. She gave me a discount on doggy shoes and gave me info about their $20 vet which was extremely helpful to me because my rescue dog has a lot of health issues. I would be paying a fortune just on vet bills alone but this will really help me out and for that I'm so thankful. Oh and I spoke with another guy who gave my son free candy and was just really nice. They all seem like genuine people. read more

This feed store was recommended to me by a friend. I went in to get my puppy his second round of shots. The Hispanic lady behind the counter spoke as if she knew what she was talking about. But I later found out she was not knowledgeable on the storage of the vaccination meds before giving it to my puppy. It cost me a loss of money and time traveling over to this store. I or my friend will not be returning to this feed store. Very disappointed!!!!! read more

Very great customer service. Went to buy vaccinations for my pup. First time vaccinating myself. The gentlemen gave me instructions on how to vaccinate along with the vaccine record. Have gone to buy Taste of the Wild dog food the food is stored very well. I'd rather buy from here knowing I'm buying good stored food VS online where you don't know how long it's been stored or how it is stored. This is a wonderful place will continue to come.
