Hands down the best BBQ I've ever had. I've been fortunate enough to travel to the south and tried some of the nations most renowned BBQ and Big Vic's is just at there level if not better. From the conversation I had with the owner, he uses fire wood which is what gives it it's distinct and amazing taste, compared to meat cooked with pellets. Big Vicks BBQ did an AWESOME job at our wedding. To make it short and sweet, it's been a week and guests are still talking about the food. He was on time. He got his trailer through a very small space into an off road pasture. After the first dance he had bride and grooms dinner plates placed in front of us when we sat down at the head table. I preordered a turkey breast and full brisket and picked it up on Christmas eve. The Brisket was huge and pretty tasty but the Turkey roast was the best ever. It was also the largest Turkey breast I have ever seen but still tender and tasty. It was'nt cheap but well worth it. Thank you Vic and family. read more

At the recommendation of several friends, I hired Vic to cater my wife's surprise birthday party. Vic was very helpful, and his pricing was great. As we got closer to the day, I had a number of very late RSVP's, even later than Vic's deadline. He was completely flexible and made the necessary changes right away with no complaints or extra fees. On the day of the party, he even moved his catering truck so my wife wouldn't see it when she came home. The food was excellent, and there was plenty left over as well. We opted for tri-tip and chicken. Veggies served were really tasty, and not over cooked at all. All in all, an excellent experience. Very nice guys, and a well run local business. Best BBQ! I have been ordering from Big Vic's for over 5 years now and every meal I have ordered has been to complete satisfaction. The meat is Smoky, juicy, tender melt in your mouth quality, the way bbq is meant to be. The homemade bbq sauce is a great mix of sweet, heat and tangy. I would suggest always ordering extra to have on hand. I live about 35 min from where he is located, and the food has traveled great. It was still warm, juicy and delicious. We booked him to bring the truck to my house for a party having his amazing nachos, and tri tip sandwiches. I used them for my daughter's wedding. What was presented during the tasting and promised was not what they provided. We were supposed to have a salad with raspberry vinegrete dressing, rosemary roasted potatoes, asparagus or seasonal vegetables, tri tip with a chimichuri sauce, linquicia with honey mustard. What we received was NO salad, whole red potatoes that looked like they were overlooked and fell apart as they being served. There was no chimichuri sauce, they had salsa and BBQ sauce! They should have consulted us prior to omitting or changing anything, but, they did not do this. So basically paid for things that were not provided. Not once did the owner say I'm sorry I forgot the salad let me refund you for all the things I didn't provide or for the inconvenience of changing the menu! read more

I recently had my wedding on May 21, 2016. We would have been a little short on food, but 6 no shows helped compensate for the amount of food my guests ate. I have waited awhile to write my review on big vic because I was so disappointed and upset and just all around angry with the service my husband and I were given by Victor. My husband and I got married on June 18, 2016 and we're referred to him by a family friend and were told nothing but great things of him so we immediately booked him and he informed us that he was considering doing another wedding on that same day but if we were to book him before them, that we would receive more of his attention on that day. (This could not be further from the truth.) He did not communicate with me well and we went and did a tasting and even paid for additional family to be able to come with us and picked our menu that day. We also paid plenty extra to have servers who would be serving at the buffet line and going around with drinks and check ID's for the alcohol being served AND we paid extra for set up and tear down. However, the day of he had about 5 people come and they only served at the buffet (slowly), did not set and up I had to call him and he promised to fix it but did nothing. Nobody helped set up or tear down. They just stood there while I had to frantically get family to come and help set up and then scramble people together to tear down the next day. He promised to be there and he never even showed up to the site once. There were no servers for the drinks and they just left the refrigerator open for people to take the alcohol as they pleased. Also, the biggest thing was that there were several items on our plates that we NEVER approved of and were never even told about! It was such terrible service that my husband and I haven't written any reviews on him because I did not want to just speak of anger. I am writing this review now though because I feel this all needs to be said and he needs to be held accountable. This was our wedding day and we paid thousands of dollars for probably the worst service we could have ever had. He reimbursed us $1,000 and the only reason I did not ask for more was because he came right out and offered that back but then took 2 months to finally mail us the check because he "kept forgetting to buy stamps". I will never work with him again and will never recommend him to anyone. It was absolutely terrible and so heartbreaking. read more
