We went here twice. First time, we were served by a nice India man. He was so personable, very friendly, and just overall someone I'd love to deal with again. Service aside, the ice cream flavors are spot on. We got butter pecan and boy was it buttery with a nice pecan taste. My husband was mind blown with the birthday cake flavor tasting literally like a birthday cake. I tried other flavors and they were all delicious and creamy. My fave is the "butter pecan port of call". I had the dark chocolate flavor the next time we came and asked for cookie dough mix-in. The ice cream itself was still very good but I would not recommend the cookie dough mix-in. We're from Vegas and we don't have a Marble Slab here so I'm very bummed. I have been here many times in the past. However, tonight I was different. I am quite upset about the quality of their ice cream. I attempted to contact them since I was not immediately in their locale when I started to eat their ice cream. The ice cream had some strange jelly-like sections that shouldn't have been in their ice cream. My child had a milkshake and he had something similar inside of his. This was throughout my whole item. I am not sure what it is but I literally lose the ice cream flavors they have and I always try different combinations or them. Surprisedly I always pick a good flavor combo that I enjoy. They have variety of toppings to select from which I always enjoy adding the end. Pistachio, vanilla, banana, coconut and strawberry flavors I have tried in the past. They need to be retrained, or hire new people that want to work in the service industry, because both of the people there did not have a clue. First time here. The service here was great and the workers were friendly. However, my friend and I BOTH found hair in our ice cream cups. Facial hair. That is TWO facial hair strands in TWO separate cups. And that was just the first half of our ice cream, so who knows how much else were in there. Never Again!!! Ordered from this place via DoorDash and it was not great at all. One quart had chocolate mixed in (my daughter is allergic) with the cotton candy flavor. To add insult to injury, there was hair in it. Next, I ordered a half and half of butter pecan and cheesecake, but there was no butter pecan in the quart at all. I DO NOT recommend. I've always come in to this place for ice cream. I went in the other day and asked the girl working the front about not wearing a mask or gloves to make my ice cream. The owner was in fact wearing gloves and a mask. His worker, however, rudely told me that she didnt need to wear a mask, wash hands or wear gloves if she didnt want to and that I could wait for him. The issue is that if he is cautious and she clearly (and rudely) is not... all of it is contaminated to me. I will not be back until his workers have better attitudes and are more health conscious. I'm very disappointed. After doing my research I called in to make an order for birthday cake for my husband's birthday which is June 17th. I was told that I could customize the ice cream cake flavor as well as decoration. I chose birthday cake for the ice cream cake flavor and was asked repeatedly to spell my husband's name, then had the name repeated to me then I was asked what time I would like to pick up the ice cream cake to which I answered 3 p.m. (Saturday June 16th). When did the call with understanding that all the details were incorrect, yet I was given no price for the cake and basically hung up on. All that aside Saturday had arrived and we went to pick up the cake, there was no name on it and when asked how to spell the name repeatedly-the name was still spelled wrong. To add insult to injury, the flavor was Vanilla which no one asked for. And we paid (luckily) a modest sum of $20 and also luckily my husband was completely sweet (in the place of my upsetness) and happy to receive his cake (a great sport about it all) but I am dissatisfied. While in Irving the other day we decided to swing by this Marble Slab. At first sight i knew this was a mistake. Let me count the ways: 1) This place is so dirty and dated. Dont look up. You might choose not to eat.(Dirty AC vents, water leak stains on roof, roofing panels held together with tape.... no, really) 2) It smells old. Maybe due to the issues with the water damage on the roof? 3) They have an elderly lady serving at the counter. Which would be fine if she knew how to roll a sundae. Or knew the ratio of toppings to ice cream. Or knew to crush some of the toppings to prevent.... i dunno choking? She did a very poor job of preparing the flavor combination we picked. I'm all for promoting small business and Ice-cream... but the owner of this location should probably visit the competition and see what they are up against. The fixes they need to make will be glaringly obvious and maybe then they can make this Marble Slab great again.( ha!) read more

She refused to give her name and claimed she was the manager. We later got her name from the receipt. This place has gone down hill. Me and my wife are regulars here but recently the store changed to new owners. We noticed that prices now are way too high!! Before, two regular ice cream cones with toppings was $10. Now the exact same thing is $15! I'm sorry but $15 is way too much for two ice cream cones. Here's the thing with Marble Slab, it is one of the biggest hit-or-miss places for me. Essentially, some things I have had here are frickin amazing. I mean lick-the-bottom-of the bowl good. But often I get combinations that are really just boring and not special at all. I really don't understand how ice cream can be so inconsistent but it is, and there you have it. I can't really remember all the crappy ice cream combinations I have had here, but the flavors that are consistently great are their Sweet Cream and Birthday Cake. My all-time favorite item is the Bananas Foster with the Sweet Cream. I don't even know why I ever try anything else, this is where it's at baby. Another warning: their ice cream cakes are awful, some of the worst ever. It is practically all ice cream and no cake. They look really great in the case, but don't be tempted, head to Baskin-Robbins if you need an ice cream cake. read more

Been here twice. Both times the ice cream was great but the service really kills it. It seems to be owned by a family, and only the son speaks or understands English. The dad runs the register and always gets it wrong then argues with customers when he clearly has no idea what's going on. The mom makes the ice cream but can't read English and will end up giving you chocolate with cherries when you asked for raspberry cheesecake. She will then oddly hand it to you, knowing full well she winged it, look you right in the eyes, shrug, and walk away. All of this goes on while the son works his butt off taking orders, expediting, telling his dad what people had , and correcting the ice cream his mom made. The catch is, the place is always packed and busy because it's the only ice cream joint around. Maybe the parents are stubborn but if you got some other people working there with the son this place would easily be 4.5 stars to everyone. As others have said, the marshmallows are stale and hard, and the price is very high, 8 bucks for two large scoops of ice cream but what are ya gonna do? read more
