Just like her Mila, my granddaughter loves ice cream. While out doing errands she got a hankering and Dumont caught our eye. This is a very nice, bright and well decorated ice cream shop. They also have tea and coffee drinks and macarons. And very fancy pricey chocolates. My granddaughter enjoyed her scoop of chocolate ice cream. This is a nice place to go for treats. Dumont Creamery and Cafe serves up some of the richest, smoothest, and most indulgent ice cream I've had in ages! And I say that as a self-proclaimed ice cream snob. The Oreo Caramel Fudge was pure decadence! Creamy, loaded with crunchy Oreo pieces, ribbons of gooey caramel, and swirls of fudgy goodness in every bite. The cafe itself has a stylish, modern vibe with seating that makes it just as inviting to linger as it is to indulge. I was surprised to learn it's part of a chain, but now I'm crossing my fingers that Charleston gets a location soon because I haven't found ice cream this luxurious and downright addictive anywhere local. Really good ice cream and a cozy vibe! Staff were friendly and the flavors didn't disappoint. Wait was a little long but worth it.

The workers need to either be retrained or actual baristas need to be hired. My coworkers and I have tried coming here for post lunch coffee and every time, there is only one person working behind the counter and they are so clueless and slow. When we ask about the menu items, the worker doesn't know what we're talking about?? They've served us ice coffee in hot coffee cups hence started leaking out. We asked for alternative milks in our drinks, but Whole Milk was used. In 15 minutes, they made 1 drink..... and our order was 7 people...... and our lunch time is limited...... The worker explained it's their first day, but then that brings up the question why the owners didn't pair up a new employee with another team member to help them out. The owners clearly are not setting this business up for success. The experience is always so frustrating. read more

As I finished my brunch date with my girlfriends, a balloon arch caught my eye. My friend's daughter saw a face painting booth. We didn't know that it was part of Dumont's grand opening. The daughter picked a rainbow and it was beautiful. Popcorn, the artist, told us about Dumont's grand opening and the delicious ice cream. We couldn't say no especially on a hot Sunday afternoon. As we walked inside, it was bright, clean, and modern. They offered a variety of ice creams, coffees, and milk teas. I was quite surpised with the variety of pasteries and drinks offered. Since it was grand opening weekend (today is the last day of this offer), it was buy one small or regular ice cream and get one free! They had traditional flavored ice creams to creative ones like Hokey Pokey. The ones we sampled were fresh and tasty! A gentleman was helping us. He wasn't the owner, but was helping with the launch. He was helpful in guiding us in which flavors we'd like. Overall, the experience was good and I'd love to come back to Dumont! read more

I walked in and immediately detected a foreign tapping noise. I brought it to the workers attention and she stared blankly and move her phone and set it up on her station. Idk if she was on a FaceTime call and/or live. The tapping never stopped. I found the worker to be distracted. She first almost gave me whole milk. Very modern decor Love the options- in general, felt very global with mostly Asian influence- Indian and Taiwanese bc of the boba milk teas but also different influences from other places too The ice creams we got were so good. We got mango, mint chocolate chip, autumn harvest, and my most favorite- a sorbet with fresh mint and basil The pricing is pretty fair compared to other places. I love ice cream and gelato so thought I would support this business. Not sure if I will be back. I visited the store and no one was there except two workers on a Saturday night. It did not feel very welcoming. One worker was on her laptop and didn't speak and walked to the back. The other person spoke and went straight to put on gloves to assist me but was giving a very much not wanting to be there vibes and I was bothering her. I tasted a couple of samples and decided on the Biscoff and the Oreo cookie caramel double scoop. I also decided on a waffle cone. The menu says the double scoop is $6.25 and the waffle cone $.99. My total was $8.93. When I inquired apparently if you get a double scoop and different flavors it is $7.25 and not $6.25. For $6.25 it has to be the same flavor for both scoops. I do not understand why it is an extra $1 for the same amount of ice cream just because I get two different flavors. She also rung it up as a custom item which also does not make sense if you were charging me for a dble scoop mix /match. With my love for ice cream, I frequent many gelato/custard/ice cream establishments and this is the first time I have seen this, a $1 upcharge for two flavors. Seems like they are trying to sneak in upcharges. I am not sure I will be back or referring anyone when there are other establishments that offer the same caliber of ice cream and not using these underhanded tactics. The place looks very new. I was greeted right away and offered to try samples. They had some unique flavors. I got the Hokey Pokey.

Lots of flavor options, there are a lot of unique ones and leans toward Indian flavors. Nothing sounded anything like something I was super excited about. Nice inside. We were going to get the 4 scoop sampler for $9+ since there were four of us and then they said the scoops are really small. My husband wanted more than that so she said something to him (neither of us were super clear on what it was) about how we could get something else which was like getting the same number of scoops, so he agreed and then it turned out to be $13+ but we thought she was telling us something that would be the same price. But they came in two bowls with four scoops which we didn't know we were agreeing to and I didn't want them touching in the same bowl. Anyway, basically a miscommunication and we ended up throwing a bunch away bc I didn't want my ice cream touching the other flavor in the bowl (picky I know ) and our two kids only eat so much anyway. We have come to get ice cream almost weekly since they opened. It is so good! they make monthly flavors and they are so good. The customer service is always amazing and they are so attentive. A favorite place to get ice cream! It is a cute shop. They have so many flavors and it is so fresh and wonderful! Every visit we have seen new flavors added. We have not found one we don't love yet!
