What an environment!! Live music, lawn chairs and tables to use and you can sit wherever, picnic tables, fire pits, cold beer (big cup!) and awesome fire grilled pizza. Would come back anytime!! If you plan to sit outside bring a jacket in case it's cold/windy, they have heat lanterns too.

Our first trip with family was wonderful. The pizza and cheese plate were nice. The beer was the highlight of the visit. The site is stunning with access to the field where the hops are grown. Definitely worth the drive. The Greek pizza is a gold star from me!

I have nothing but nice things to say. The girls at the register were wicked friendly, food was done quickly, seating had plenty of options. The atmosphere is relaxed and open. Absolutely love this place.

Excellent beer and pizza. The outdoor seating in the warm months and live music make it a great atmosphere.

Nestled in what seems like a residential area, Bigelow is a hidden gem in Central Maine. We stumbled upon this place based off Yelp reviews and renting in the area and it was better than expected. The outdoor setup was great, employees were great, beer was great and the pizza was great too. That's four greats in one sentence and we'd definitely go back again if in the area.

    Pesto ricotta pizza....tasty!

What a great find! Fantastic selection of beer and we were impressed with the fresh taste and quality. The atmosphere of the sitting area was perfect....plenty of seating for small or large groups and a fun vibe. They also have a small kitchen with wood fired pizzas that were excellent! I would highly recommend making a stop!

This place is awesome!! Friday night is special. Lawn chairs, free acoustic music, and wood fire pizza (tasty). Bean bag games feels like a family picnic. Jeff and Pam are great hosts, they make sure everyone is having a good time. Kids are welcome. Thanks guys for the perfect ending to a great 2 weeks. We'll see you again next year!! Oh ok did i mention that the beer is as tasty as it gets. Ask for the Jeff Powers! They'll know what you mean

Bigelow Brewing Company is definitely a hidden gem owned by a local family who all works there. it is hard to find in Skowhegan, Maine but worth the effort to do so. I tried it for the first time recently. I should say that I dont really know much about beer except that I usually enjoy it. Craft brew, micro brew, its all the same to me. What I know is, that the beer here is good and the hops used come from right behind the owners house. What I am an expert on is Pizza, and Bigelow Brewing does it exceptionally well. It is served out of a custom built outdoor wood fired oven and the taste that the wood lends to the crispy local made thin crust dough is what sets it apart from other styles of Pizza. Bigelow Brewing is currently only open on Friday Nights and Saturday afternoons and nights. Each night a different local band performs and the crowd gathers early both indoors and in the old converted barn (which is now half microbrewery and half dining area) or on the large lawn. Folding camp chairs are provided or you can bring your own. Each weekend the pizza menu changes depending on what the chef is able to purchase locally but it is always something unique, inventive and most of all fresh. The cheese comes from nearby Norridgewalk, the dough from Skowhegan and the toppings from all around the area. Our choice for the evening was a Blueberry Pizza, but first up was some wood fired Chicken Wings with Bigelow Brewing Brown Ale BBQ sauce. The wings were not to sweet and had just the right amount of BBQ tang with a hint of smoke. These really hit the spot. They were served with a really garlicky homemade Ranch that was also very good. The Blueberry Pizza stole the show. A perfectly wood charred 12 inch pie was topped with a semi sweet Maine Blueberry Compote, house smoked Bacon, local Gorgonzola Cheese, and local peppery Balsamic Drizzled Arugula Lettuce. The sweet, the smokey, the salty, the savory and the spicy flavors combined for pizza perfection ,and my wife and I finished the whole thing with no problem. Bigelow Brewing is great and if i had one suggestion it would be to have some dessert options as there were none to be found and also extended hours would be great because the pizza is so good why limit it to just two nights? I will certainly be back and I encourage anyone to make the trip and see for yourselves why Bigelow Brewing Company is so good. Fresh local ingredients, friendly owners and employees that care and take pride in their product makes all the difference. Great Job and 4 stars.

Best place in Skowhegan. Awesome food and beer but the best part is the wonderful family who own the place.

Seating and Ambiance: They have outdoor seating and plenty of indoor seating as well. The couches inside are so comfortable. They also allow pups inside which I appreciated it! On a hot summer day, it was difficult for our pup to be out so this really came in handy and allowed us to have a good time. The inside area is SO spacious. Half of it is an arcade/game room with plenty of arcade games so make sure you bring some quarters. Pours: We had 4 pints and took a 4-pack to go, all for $48. The beers were really good. I really enjoyed their IPA "Cease and Desist" which they said was their most popular one. Service: We had the best service. The woman at the front gave us great beer recommendations and was so nice and welcoming from the moment we stepped inside. All in all, a solid 5 out of 5!

There isn't a lot of seating available, but I guess they do a lot of takeout business and we certainly had no trouble getting seating on this visit. They are open two days a week, so you might want to confirm they are open before you go. The atmosphere and the service were terrific, as were the hot tender (bare) chicken wings we ordered. My wife wanted to try a special pizza they were offering that day, and I can't say I liked it as much as she (and others) did, but I suspect I would have liked a classic tomato sauce-based pizza much more, so it is just a matter of taste rather than quality. I imagine we will going out there again sometime, but I hope the roads are bare next time!
