They just gave us a number and said this is our price. Take it or leave it. Mike showed up within 24 to 48 hours of our initial contact. He was very polite and professional. He really did his best to understand the scope of our project and what we wanted. In addition to asking about our budget. He provided us with three options with tiered pricing. Allowing us to trim and adjust as needed. He started the day he quoted us and finished within the 2 to 3 week timeframe we were given. He laid cardboard out throughout the house to protect our flooring. When he was done, they cleaned up everything nicely. Communication was excellent. We are extremely happy with the results. Super nice guy who explained the process to me (I know nothing about concrete). He explained to me that he had a good amount of worked lined up and it would take up to 6 weeks to get to my driveway. We were in no rush so I agree that the wait wouldn't be an issue. A couple weeks early Danny called us and said he was caught up and would like to get our project done. His crew came out, (I think he works with his son) and they were able to tear out the old driveway and frame up the new one in a day. The next day they poured the new driveway. Smooth with no hassles. Danny's workmanship is great and you can tell he knows what he is doing. It's been 5 years this summer and the driveway Majestic poured for us still looked amazing. My neighbor hired Jenkins to replace an existing fence. Rather than follow the prior fence location, Jenkins staked and began installing a new line closer to my property without a current survey establishing that location. The contractor knew where the old fence had been, chose a different alignment, and then relied on the homeowner's approval of the new placement. When I raised the issue, Jenkin's owner's position was that once his customer approved the location, any resulting property-line problem was between the two homeowners. I consider that negligent. A fence contractor does not need to be a surveyor, but if the legal boundary is unknown, moving an existing fence toward an adjoining property without first establishing the line is an entirely avoidable risk. Now I have to pay for a survey to determine whether the new posts encroach. If they do, my neighbor may also be stuck paying to have Jenkins move work that Jenkins placed on a line they selected in the first place. If you hire Jenkins Fencing, establish the property line before they set the first post.

It's still a major repair that needs immediate attention. It's better to do it, sooner than, later. My house has only a partial basement, the majority of it is finished crawl space. I have a laundry room upstairs, so all that is in my basement is the furnace and extensive shelving units for storage. With that being stated, I rarely have any need to go down into my basement. When I did venture down after one of the early spring down pours, I discovered I had an issue. It wasn't major, but I wanted it fixed before it became one. Again, being new to the RIverbend area, I reached out to friends and family for recommendations. Everyone of them said the same thing, "Midwest Basement".
