Vallow's estimate for the same product beat the other business, saving us major money. We had a handyman contractor to redesign our stairwell so that we can get the LVP installed correctly. Mike from Vallow came out to our house and met with the handyman contractor to discuss their plan and even provided them with sample. This collaboration greatly facilitated our combined home improvement projects, resulting in a much better final product than we had envisioned. Just make sure you read the fine print on contract. Also, make sure they sub out plumbing and heating and air conditioning. The duct work was ALL installed incorrectly and washing machine was installed incorrectly. They were not willing to work with us at all concerning these problems. Our cost was over $1500.00 more to correct these problems.

Sliding glass door was installed crooked and water is leaking from under the track and from the weep holes inside of the house. Caulk has detached and or is missing from multiple windows. Installer became irate over wearing a mask and tried to blame everything but their work for damage and improper installation after they had aknoweldged the issues and admitted to causing some of said issues themself. WARNING: If you have already hired and paid these guys, keep your paperwork, document their work and interactions, make sure that they give you a proper itemized list of what you paid for. I did a $50k renovation of my 1908 victorian and these guys showed up at 7:30 every morning and worked steadily all day. All of their craftsmen had great attitudes, were friendly and hard workers. Nathan the Project Manager returned calls quickly and was available via text and email. Kept the project on time and finished in six weeks. My favorite was Greg who worked on site everyday and was able to troubleshoot any problem we had. Nothing ruffled him and he always said "we will figure it out". NEVER HIRE THESE PEOPLE! MRL Home Improvements was hired by…read moremy long-term general contractor to put on a new roof, and it was the worst experience I have had in 50 years of home ownership. Not one person of the 10-man crew spoke English, no bi-lingual supervisor ever showed up during the work, and they were totally careless about the damage they did to other parts of the house. Photos show the mountains of trash thrown on the porch, all around the yard, and onto the landscaping. There was so much being thrown off the roof that it was dangerous to step out any door. They couldn't repair all the damage they did and mess they made, but I guess they did end up paying for my GC to replace almost 100 ft of damaged gutters, 60 ft of bent fascia, and an air conditioner service call to dismantle and remove trash and 31 nails from inside. The list goes on and on. Thanks to the GC for getting the issues resolved as best as possible, but we had to cancel plans for multiple days while all the mess and damage was repaired. No reputable company would have treated our home this way, or unleased a crew of obviously under trained, disorganized, and careless workers. Worst home repair event of my life, and none of my friends or family have every experienced anything like this either. On the bright side, my GC did step up to the plate and get this resolved rather than these people just walking away. I hope their work installing backing, shingles, vents, etc. were up to snuff. At this point, only time will tell.

We didn't really understand the quality of this remodel until I heard about others' experience. Bill was detailed in the prework, including very specific plans and drawings. He came back with illustrations that let us "see" the completed project before it started. Even though we made a couple of unusual requests, Bill did the research, came back with multiple solutions, and let us pick the one we liked the best. Most of the folks I've spoken with felt they needed to follow the contractor and continually check on the work completed. Not us! I never had to check on the progress or the quality, because both were outstanding. In my line of work, I don't have time to check in and worry over every detail. It's great that we could find a contractor who did the worrying for us. The basement was the big one, but we're already lining up the next project for Dream Mill.
