I suddenly was unable to get into 2 of my 3 email addresses. I spent a week or so trying to figure out what to do. I spent about 1.5 hours with Samsung 'help.' They were unable to find the problem. I also tried Yahoo since one of the emails is a Yahoo account. No luck there, either. Then I took it to Big Foot, and he fixed it in about 15 minutes. He actually understood the problem. Neither Samsung nor Yahoo ever did get it. If you have a problem with your phone, but the phone itself doesn't need repair, it is hard to find a professional who will work on it. Basically this guy messed up my screen. I took my android phone in to get the battery replaced. The guy said he could do it, but it might have been a rush job; it was the end of the day. When I got the phone back, the screen had what looked like some grains or bubbles near the bottom. The bottom buttons on the touch screen started behaving erratically. Things were popping up, going into split screen, into background, back up, etc. as I watched the buttons flash. I had to take it back for another battery swap but he didn't or couldn't fix it. The screen is now acting up at random intervals, and is coming unglued to boot. So instead of extending the life of my phone, I spent $ to make sure I really needed a new one. read more

The first time I came to them for a repair it was for the screen on my Wacom Cintiq Companion 2. The guy who owns the shop, I believe his name is Tom, worked on it for a while, but in the end couldn't replace the screen because he couldn't order the parts from Wacom. He didn't charge me a dime. I would have expected to have at least been charged for his time. He's a real stand up guy! The second time I just needed a simple task, replacing my optical drive on my computer which needed a torx screw driver (which I didn't have). Fixed my phone that fell in washing machine while I waited. I had taken it somewhere else and my phone still didn't work-- it turned on but SIM wouldn't read and charging port didn't work. This place figured out what was wrong and did it fast and showed me what they were doing-- showed me my open phone and what was wrong. I am so thankful to them and it was a great deal! It's also so nice not to have it done while you wait so you don't have to leave and come back. He and his wife are so quick and know what they are doing. Literally the whole thing took half an hour (while the other place I went to didn't get me back my phone till next day and I found out when I got home it didn't work.) It was more expensive than Chinatown but it was also a lot faster (20 min) and I didn't have to go back because they screwed up my wifi after cracking the phone open. I've replaced 4 iPhone screens myself before, usually from damage, but this time, the bottom half of my screen just quit registering touch. I have used this store for replacing 4 Iphone batteries. In generla thigns have gone swimmingly but two day ago on our "mature" 6S the case suddenly swelled and things got hot, indicating a faulty battery. This particular battery had been replaced ~6 months ago so I feared it was completely out of warranty (and was not sure there was any warranty period). I took it in today and the owner replaced it *free of charge*!!!! He said this happens occasionally as the batteries he gets are not stress pre-tested (which I am sure help keeps is prices down). Story starts with stupidity, deepens in tragedy, followed by self-recrimination, but somehow resolves with joy. Left the Classic iPhone SE (yeah the little guy that fits into your palm) on the roof of the car... slides down the back, falls into the crack between the roof and the hatchback when I open up the back, then goes and gets itself crushed when I try to close the hatchback. I brought my iPhone8 here on the recommendation of someone at the ATT Store in Berkeley who said they could repair the cracked camera lens cover "cheap." I had to make two separate trips here for two attempts at repair and it is still not repaired correctly. While they certainly tried, it was a very negative experience as my camera lens cover is still not properly fixed. The first time the repair was sloppy and all of the photos were wildly out of focus. The second time was better but still not satisfactory. I texted them several times but got not response and said if not satifsfactorily repaired I would submit an honest review. The folks there are pleasant but I was taken aback by the very dirty office space and can't imagine how it was behind the closed door where they made the repairs. And the smell was terrible (owner said it was their dog). I guess you get what you pay for, and now I'm out $50 or $55 and have to either get a new phone or find a better place to get it repaired. read more

I got scammed out of $40, and I never got my refund that I was promised. I was told that it costs $40 for them to clean my water damaged phone, but that I would be refunded if there was rust found on my phone. Well, sure enough, there was rust in my phone, and I still didn't get refunded. Instead, Danny and this other rude SOB gave me the run around about how I wouldn't get my refund, they wouldn't fix my phone, and I had to leave their dusty shop with the same broken phone I walked in with. It was a waste of money and time, and I will NEVER do business with them again. I only plan to go back on Monday to get my money back. read more

They don't take credit cards, though, so you have to go in, give them a down payment for the parts, and then come back a few days later to get the phone fixed. Had a great experience with Bigfoot iPhone. The portable digital control panel on my treadmill fell and stopped working. They were great taking it apart and unable to find the issue. When I called the manufacturer I discovered that the emergency pin must have fallen out. After taking apart the treadmill I found the pin and yes, the unit then worked. Why they get 5 stars was: 1. willingness to try to fix it (5 other places said no) 2. responsiveness once they had the unit / updates 3. not charging me for their time and energy once we realized the real culprit even though they had spent several days working on it.
