My husband and I absolutely love this place! Nilsa was wonderful, the breakfast were yummy and so Were the cookies she made. The lodge is absolutely beautiful and so is the view. We will definitely stay here again.

This is not…read moreyour traditional B&B as it's set in a gorgeous orchard with a stunning view of Mount Hood. Should you choose to stay with the lovely couple that runs the place, Pete & Annette, you won't regret it as they are truly the most inviting hosts. This is not your Grandma's B&B! They have 3 permanent tents complete with beds in them, one of which is a tree house. That's right a tree house! As a guest you have access to the bath house as well. I had the pleasure of working directly with both Pete and Annette for a friend's wedding. Not only did our hosts do everything they could to transform their working orchard into a gorgeous Wedding Venue, but they were there every step of the way to make sure everything went smoothly for the guests. Need a generator, or a way to park all of your guests amongst the pear trees? Pete's got it covered! Need all the pretty touches from a garden to spruce up the Honey Moon Suite/Tree House or a back-up catering plan when it looks like your caterer is not going to show up? Don't worry, Annette has you covered! The grounds are spread out and do require a bit of walking from the tree house, tent sites, bath house, main house and reception space. But it's absolutely worth it. The Orchard is beautiful, the venue is one of a kind but the hospitality here is incredible! Regardless of if you need a weekend getaway or a venue for a special event, I'd recommend Bella Vista without a moment's hesitation.

The reception area is really sweet and charming- lights were hanging inside of the tent and hay barrel couches with lace sheets surrounded the dance floor. We had a great bonfire and many of our guests opted to camp out in the orchard. Annette and Pete were fabulous hosts- they really made everything come together seamlessly. Annette did a great job with my makeup and her daughter, Tiffany, was an amazing bartender. Annette and Pete took care of many of the prep details and were always available for any questions/concerns I had. Both were fully present and so helpful the entire wedding day and evening. The following morning, campers awoke to snacks and coffee! Bella Vista is a very special place and we feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to get married there! Thanks Annette + Pete!

My fiancee and I arrived at 1am on a Saturday morning and the room was ready for us. A great breakfast with the best banana french toast was had the next morning to prepare us for a full day of snowboarding along with some great organic/free trade coffee that a local picks up form his travels from around the globe. Greg and Linda, the owners, we very nice people that were the perfect balance of accommodation and hands off. The jacuzzi in the back was a great relief after a few bad spills down the Ridge Line trail at Mount Hood Meadows. And because we were staying in Hood River, we got 1/2 price lift tickets (only $32 instead of $64!) and on a holiday weekend, that can't be beat. While I don't know if a B&B is for me, this experience was wonderful. The food was great, the rooms comfortable, cozy, and roomy, and plenty of room to either be with the other guys or be by yourself. I'll certainly return if I come back to Hood River.

Greg and Linda are a charming couple who really seem to love each other and what they are doing. I love the quiet. I love the grounds. I love this B&B. My husband and I took a weekend vacation away from the kids. We were lucky enough to book the cabin which is far enough away from the house to offer privacy, if you want it, but we were still able to use the amenities. There is a hot tub, beautiful grounds, and a great vegetarian breakfast, laid by chickens with names such as Pluck-a-hontas, and Feather Locklear. There was an iPod docking station in our room and no t.v. which lead to great conversations and reading time. I am still convinced that the grounds have been charmed by fairies. I felt enchanted the by the whole experience. Just so you know... I will come back again. I only don't give them five stars because the location is a little way out of town (so worth it once you see where you are) and my husband and I woke up with back aches from the bed. This may be because the bed was a queen and we need a king. Come, enjoy, and relax.

The BnB is perched perfectly above acres of orchards (apples and pears), with the most gorgeous view of Mt Hood from the porch. We went in January and used the BnB as a "homebase" for our snowshoeing and snowboarding adventures. Mike, Jackie's husband, is extremely knowledgable on local dining options in Parkdale (and their covid protocols), as well as secret local-known trails and routes. We had an amazing time exploring this side of 35 and feel we've discovered a treasure. Oh, and Jackie's breakfasts? AMAZING. We were well fueled for our daily adventures! And a different breakfast each day! Pancakes, Dutch Babies, Coffee Cake, French Toast, eggs, bacon, fruit (including fresh local pears!) were some of what greeted us in the mornings before we headed out. For the nitty-gritty info you want - the rooms are small but comfortable - we were able to each put a yoga mat beside our sides of the bed to do stretches, or one of us could stretch at the foot of the bed. Each room has it's own bathroom (barndoor dividing the bedroom from bathroom) with a full tub, pedestal sink, fan and bathroom heater. The bathrooms have plenty of space for two, as well as hot water for showers. There are hooks EVERYWHERE in the room for your gear to hang. The beds are comfy, with an extra memory foam topper, and plenty of warm bedding, with extra blankets if you need. The rooms have wall-heaters that get the rooms toasty! We actually had to turn ours off the first night, haha. Each room also has it's own small wall-mounted HDMI (and component) TV with satellite-tv and DVD-player, and the hosts have an extension Rom-Com selection available upon request. The communal spaces are cozy and socially distanced, as much as they can be. There's a loveseat on the upper level with a little chatty/hang out area, and the dining room downstairs has 3 tables, distanced as far apart as they can, for couples to dine at. There are only 3 rooms in the BnB, so 6 guests max, and the other 4 when we stayed wore masks like us in the common areas, and spent limited time in them. There's no mask policy (just what the state has, etc), so your experience may vary depending on what other couples are there at the same time, and what restrictions are in place. If you visit in summer or fall, there is an insanely adorable outdoor dining area with lights and plenty of space for folks to spread out. We'll likely book a stay to experience it ourselves! We sent lots of photos and notes to friends and family of our stay at the Mt Hood Bed & Breakfast, and are excited to visit Jackie & Mike again soon!

Flowers, lush green grasses and lovely foliage surround the B&B. A lovely "secret garden" as I call it, is a peaceful place to sit quietly and rest. Mt Hood shows itself majestically as we stood in awe of its beauty. We live in Alabama and the hospitality shown to us by owners Mike and Jackie, was the true southern way! Breakfast was incredible and served promptly with not only deliciousness, but presentation! With only 3 guest rooms, this made for an intimate and private weekend with our daughters family and sweet couple friends. We look forward to returning!!

Sakura Ridge provided a very comfortable stay with everything that we needed to unplug and relax. There were many small details that we appreciated- a beautifully designed and very clean room, comfortable bed and sheets, heated floors, snacks and drinks in the common area (hot cocoa, tea, soda, popcorn), and guidebooks, cookbooks, and maps for guests. The breakfasts were delicious and carefully prepared by Deanna. We had fresh lamb sausage, cherry tomato and goat cheese tart, scrambled eggs with chives, and sorrel salad. The second day, we had a cream cheese omelette, ham wrapped asparagus, and fresh blueberry scone. Deanna also made a berry smoothie both mornings. John was very kind and taught my husband how to feed their lambs on the second morning. We met him at 8am and my husband got to feed 3 lambs at one time! I have to say, it was a unique and fun experience. We stayed in the Orchard Room, which was great. It was built as an addition in 2007, so it has a separate entrance and felt very private. The bathroom was well appointed with a marble walk-in shower and soaking tub. We had a private balcony overlooking the chickens and lambs on the farm, and it offered an AMAZING view of Mt. Hood. One of the best things about Sakura Ridge is that it's situated on a farm with animals (lambs and chickens) and fruits (pears, apples, peaches, plums, and berries) and vegetables. We highly recommend staying here and would love to return in the summer.

Or where they were so creaky that you hesitate to use the bathroom at night for fear of waking up the whole building. Truthfully, R&R Guest House is none of those things. Kevin and Julie are friendly and will help you with as much or little guidance as you want on local hikes, wineries etc. But they aren't in your face or space... Another big highlight is that this property feels new and old at the same time. Definite charm retained in their remodeling. Yet, no feeling of "this doorknob might come off in my hand." And the hot tub and pool are very, very nice. The landscaping is lush and well laid out. Finally--the two meals we hadat this B&B was consistently the best meals we had that weekend, compared to restaurants in both Hood River and The Dalles. They even offered to pack us a snack on one of our days exploring the area. What sets this B&B apart is the people. It is owned by a wonderful family and throughout our stay we were delighted by all of them. Connie, who cooks the breakfasts and with whom we had the most interaction, was beyond helpful. We are looking at potentially relocating to the area and she helped provide more information than we could have hoped for, not to mention a sense of the quality of people who live here. The attentiveness of the whole crew really made the difference. By the time we left we felt like part of the family. They even invited us to taste test some of the wine and cheesecake they were considering serving for their special Valentine's weekend dinner at the cafe, which felt like quite an honor. We also got to tour the other rooms since they were vacant, and I can tell you, they are all decorated as tastefully as the Tuscan room. If you are here for winter sports on Mount Adams, the location is very convenient.
