Whenever I'm craving boneless wings, Biggs is THE spot- without question!! (They are $.50 on Tuesdays from 6-9p) Absolute best wings!! Huge, full of flavor, 27 to choose from! I have been here about 10 time and after last not we won't be back. After getting our food it was 40 min before anyone came back to see us. We had to interrupt them hanging out at the bar for our bill. The place was dead. This is unexpected. It's a shame that in this day with businesses struggling the you can treat customer like this. The atmosphere was pretty decent. Some of the staff was very personable. The downfall I had with them, was the size of my wings. I purchased traditional bone in wings. They were the smallest wings I had ever seen. I literally grow chickens to butcher them for their meat. I would have to say they served me a chicken that was probably no more than a month old. Of course that really doesn't have anything to do with the restaurant, that would be the person who they purchased from. Nonetheless, I paid full price and I feel like I only got about half the amount I should've because of the size of these wings. read more

This place, Biggs, is unexpectedly fantastic. Lived nearby for probably a decade or more but just now happened in for the first time. This will be the first of many more times to come. It's an aging sports bar/restaurant kind of place. It's so old fashioned that they charge a fee to use your credit or debit card! And the ambiance is that of a basement. But all of that is completely irrelevant because the service from the obviously experienced and friendly staff and the quality and taste of the food are top notch. Of course, we had to order a giant pretzel. It's not quite actually a pretzel, though. It's more of a pretzel looking bread. And it's delicious. Light, fluffy, warm, and in the novelty gigantic pretzel shape, this bread is mouth watering on its own or dipped in the cheese sauce. Leaving most of the, umm, pretzel to take home, I moved on to my The Original Philly Steak and Cheese sandwich. This proved to be both unexpected and completely delicious. It's probably not an actual Philly steak and cheese sandwich but after taking a bite I didn't care what they called it. Whether it was a stellar job with the onions and peppers or an uncommon spice I cannot tell, but this sandwich was out of this world. I am not usually a French fry person, but the ones that came with the sandwich were absolutely perfect. I tried a boneless chicken wing someone else at the table had ordered and it was also perfect. All through the meal, the waitresses were attentive and friendly. Even though this was the first time I ever met Jojo, I felt like she was a close neighbor or family friend. That speaks to her experience and demonstrates either how perfect she is at her job or that she loves her job--or both. TL;DR--don't judge a book by its cover. Food and service were great! The boneless wings were fresh and handmade. Chicken breast was cut and lightly battered, cooked to a juicy center and perfect crisp on the batter. So nice to see this! I hate going to places and you end up with frozen store bought over breaded or badly battered processed chicken. These were FRESH, JUICY AND DELICIOUS! The cajun parmesan bites are little pillows of dough heaven....i wonder if they can also make them with cinnamon and sugar and a chocolate dipping sauce??? There was once a time when I gave Biggs a 4-star rating that was over a year ago after frequenting there for quite a awhile. I've watched as the help has all quit, the waitresses have all quit, the chef has quit and now it is blatantly obvious nobody cares. The last four times we have gone there for dinner we left saying the exact same thing we will never go back to Biggs. Well I felt it was important to let fellow Yelpers know that this place maybe good if you're looking for a cheap beer but other than that stay away. The fries are soggy, the burgers totally overcooked with wilted lettuce, even the ribs have become 3rd or 4th rate at best. They have no system to notify the waitresses when the food is ready so it sits on a counter in the back room until somebody comes out and eventually Taps the wait person on the shoulder and says you know your Foods back there getting cold and then maybe the waitress will go back and get it if she's not text messaging one of her friends. The wait staff is always new and have absolutely NO training. If you ask what the specials are they point to a board on the other side of the place and tell you I haven't looked today. When you drive by a restaurant and for six weeks straight it has a blinking sign chef, cook, and waitress wanted you know there's trouble in Denmark. I've eaten my last meal at Biggs and this time I really really mean it. Enough is enough. What a shame. read more

Bar tenders all they did was chat about there life behind the bar. Cursing was excessive for bar tenders and customers. F bombs dropped excessively. Not good for kids. The food is good but not such as to make me overlook the bad service. We went to Biggs to catch a Pistons playoff game as we don't have cable television. It took a half hour for the staff to turn the channel at my booth to the game after turning the big screen I was originally watching to a different game. Our order was also wrong the first time it came out and to top all of this off, the establishment charges a $1 service fee for all credit transactions. Next time I'll skip all the trouble and get my wings at a gas station. At least their fees are negated after a minimum $5 purchase. read more

It's a "dive"... But they have good prices, $3 you call it and good bar food. Service is touch and go. Drinks are made well, not overly strong, but not weak. They have karaoke on the weekends and a lot of regulars participate. The crowd is a good variety... I usually see ages from mid 20's to late 50's ish. They have keno and lots of flat screens, pool, horseshoes. It did recently get a facelift: new tile floor, tables, walls, and a new jukebox. Went there for the Wings because they were ranked #2 in the best of Detroit poll. Boneless wings were good but not good enough for a #2 ranking, Bone in Wings are not even worth taking about. Waitress was friendly and we received good service, the place definitely needs to be renovated especially the bathrooms. read more

Went to Biggs today for lunch with my wife and daughter. Waited for close to an hour and still no food. Had to sit the whole time listening to a group of regulars at the bar talking loudly and using the F word constantly. Finally got up and left. It wasn't even crowded. Won't be back there. If you want to listen to foul language and don't want to Eat this is the place top be. And the local news station just did a wonderful report on them must have been BS. read more

We come here for horseshoes for 16 weeks in the summer, and I absolutely love it. The food is fantastic, haven't had any bad food here and our server is always amazing...she can literally take care of 16 guys that drink consistently and eat alot. I love it :) read more
