We passed this place on our way to an appointment and the lot was packed so we figured we'd give it a try for lunch. Good thing we did. It's set back quite a ways off the main road and easy to drive by. Inside, there's a small counter where you can eat and there are lots of tables and booths in the main room. On our visit we saw several larger (10-12) groups so they must be accommodating. We were seated right away and drinks ordered and delivered promptly. They have a fairly large menu and Daily Specials posted on the wall when you entered. Our server did another run down of the Specials when we asked. My wife had the Chef Salad ($11.99) and I has the Taco Salad Special ($13.99). Both salads were large, but the Chef Salad was HUGE. Loads of crisp, cold iceberg lettuce with some spinach greens, shredded carrot, cucumber slices, tomato, red onion, Swiss and American cheeses, turkey, hard boiled egg and ham. The thousand island dressing my wife ordered was very tasty. She ate half the salad, brought the other half home. My taco salad was great. Crisp iceberg lettuce and a few other greens topped with a generous portion of perfectly taco seasoned ground beef, all in a flour tortilla bowl. This was topped with shredded cheddar cheese, tomatoes, black olives and jalapenos. Sour cream and salsa came on the side. I also added a bit of Chalula hot sauce to zip up the flavor a bit. A great salad and I enjoyed it very much. Prices here are very reasonable and the portions are generous. We will go back. read more

Biggy's Place Ft Myers Fl 5-15-25 Stopped by for breakfast. Place was mostly full but plenty of parking. Once inside it was clean and neat. We got seated fast and ordered our coffees. I ordered the American Platter which consisted of 2 Eggs, Potatoes, and a Biscuit covered with Sausage Gravy. My wife ordered the Belgum Waffle with Blueberries, Strawberries, and whipped cream on top. Our waitress stated she would make sure they added Blueberries inside the Waffle also. Our orders came out fast and looked very good. My eggs were done just the way I like them and everything else on my plate was good and hot. My wife Belgum Waffle was big but just a couple Strawberries and Blueberries on top. No Blueberries were inside the Waffle to be found. The whipped cream was in a bowl beside the waffle. This all seemed a little miss conjoined for a Belgum Waffle. We though someone would come around and fill our Coffees up, but they never happen. I must give Biggy's Place a 3 out of 5 stars. I was there around 9:30 am on 1/31. I ordered a bacon cheese omelette for the first time. It was delicious and cooked to perfection, as all of their breakfasts are. I had a surly waitress though. The hostess seated me and asked what I wanted to drink. She brought me my water and said the waitress would be right with me. So I'm sitting and the hostess holds up a finger, as if to say the waitress will be here soon. A couple of minutes go by and the same thing. Now I have not done anything or said anything. The waitress, appropriately dressed in black pants and shirt, finally comes over with attitude asking, what can I get you. I order and ask for strawberry jelly. She comes by and plops down the plate and said she'll be back with the jelly. She tosses them on the table. Normally I tip at least 30% for breakfast. She got 20%, which wasn't deserved. read more

Anytime we are in this neighborhood, we always go to Biggy's Place for lunch. Why? This place has that neighborhood ambiance and feel. You heard phrases, "Hey Bill!" or "Guys, Can I get you a refill for the road?". The dining area is large and spacious. It is clean and staff is very efficient with reasonable price and good breakfast and lunch selections. The place can be very busy but you'll get in and out in good time! The burgers and fries are one of best in Fort Myers! Today, I sit at the counter and ordered a Western Omelet and coffee. Several staff check my coffee and make sure the cup is full! The omelet is well cooked, crunchy home fries and hot biscuit just make this an enjoyable lunch! This is not a tourist place and it is Veterans friendly. Staying in Ft. Myers, at a hotel where breakfast is not included in the package. So went looking for a place for breakfast. Biggy's was just a bit more than. Mile away and had good reviews, so that's where we headed. I ordered the all American breakfast, 2 eggs, biscuit and gravy and home fries. These folks do not mess around! Obviously use jumbo eggs, as these two over medium covered about a third of the plate. A single good sized, fluffy biscuit covered in a creamy gravy with just the right amount of sausage and a hefty helping of fresh cut home fried potatoes. Definitely not frozen! My wife had bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and grits. She was quite happy with her selection. The waitress was quick to our table and getting us coffee to get started. Got our order and very quickly we got our food. It was after the morning rush, so maybe that's why it was so fast. But probably one of the best breakfast meals I've had. No idea why this is popular. Yes waitresses are super friendly even if they disappear for a long chat and laugh with co-workers. Just don't order corned beef if you have ever eaten corned beef from a NY deli because you will be sorely disappointed even if yes they will bring you brown mustard in lieu of delivered bottle of yellow. This is the ultimate little breakfast-lunch spot. Everyone from the lady who greets and seats you to our server, Michelle, welcomed you and made you feel that they were glad you were there. How I missed this place in all the years I have lived in this area is beyond me. I am always on the lookout for the next breakfast place and this is a good one. Apparently most of the locals know and love this place and apparently are not sharing. But I will. I was next door at Safelite Auto Glass and I needed something to eat. I actually walked by this place initially as it sits back off the road, but looked it up on Google to see what people thought. Google reviews 4.7 Stars based on over 1700 reviews. I turned around and have zero regrets. I had the Ham and cheese omelet with home fries. Great portion size with the flavors you would expect. Well made and flavorful. Before you would walk in through the front door I'd a plaque outside that stated if you are an active duty military person or on vacation. Please let them know they will provide you with a complimentary meal. Inside the eyes very is also a military helmet hanging got people to help out veterans. Just in case you might have missed the plaque outside, on the bottom back of the menu Is a friendly reminder that if you are in military please let them know that and you will receive s complimentary meal. We really appreciate that this establishment folks really are grateful for the men and women who serve our country. So I am so picky about breakfast after we ate at a waffle place near downtown where is was very apparent they cater to a twenty something crowd and we were made to feel very unwelcome. I chose Biggies based on reviews and because it is a local spot. If you are a veteran you get free beverages and free meal upon arriving home from deployment. The owner is obviously very patriotic , as American flags adorn the outside and Americana motif inside.There are also lovely placards to patrons who have passed. Many historical photos, and vintage tv shows to watch while dining.., Watched some "Bonanza" while dining. Food was great, prices good, everything homemade including the biscuits. Our server was not good. First she spilled coffee all over our table and said " I made a mess" , walked away and left us to clean it up. We had to walk to the counter for water and butter.
