The Big Wood Bakery implies that they are organic (they used to before they purchased) but when I went in to the bakery to buy their bread, nowhere on the label does it say organic. I asked the staff and they refused to give a direct answer and kept saying "our breads are artisan bread" even though the staff wears t shirts with "organic" on the front. Buyer beware I guess is the words to live by. read more

I have always loved Bigwood and have been coming here for as long as I can remember. Typically I don't write reviews but figured management and other customers should read this. The quality of the food and service has majorly slipped in the last year. Unfortunately, every single order my husband and I call in is always incorrect. We are to the point where we won't be calling in pick up orders anymore as our order is ALWAYS messed up. We get to go twice a week and can't remember the last time our order was correct. Over the weekend, we ordered the spicy bagel sandwich add bacon, they charged us for the bacon but didn't put it on the sandwich, we also ordered a bowl of yogurt and granola for me with no berries as I'm super allergic and made a point to tell them that... they put berries on it anyway. Today we ordered 2 tuna and Swiss sandwiches. When we opened our to go bag, we realized they didn't put the Swiss on the sandwiches... I wish their attention to detail was better and that they cared about the quality of the food as much as they used to. read more

Friendly atmosphere. The food came out very beautiful. Unfortunately 3 out of 3 meals were a big disappointment, especially after reading all the rave reviews. Every breakfast I went to in town, had Big Wood toast. It was always so good, I had to go check out the place itself. The cafe itself is very small and somewhat hard to find as it's in the industrial part of town. They had great pastries and lots of types of bread to choose from. I have yet to try the bagels I bought, but the toast was great. read more

Bigwood Bread is amazing. I just can't get enough of their Sourdough. It is just the right amount of sour. Makes amazing toast or fabulous with pasta, salad one big chunk at a time. read more

I had a bad experience and do not recommend this place. I ordered the Big Wood Breakfast with sunny side up eggs and sausage, and they brought me the Scramble. Instead of offering to fix it, the server acted like it was my fault, bringing me the ticket as if to somehow prove that I had actually ordered the Scramble which contained bacon, cheese and other things that I didn't want to eat. I took two bites (it was kinda dry and the roasted potatoes were under-cooked), ate the toast and got the check and a box to-go for the Scramble. When the person who had taken my order at the counter came over to clear the table, I took the opportunity to remind her that I had ordered the Big Wood Breakfast. She half-heartedly offered to fix it. By then, it was too late. She said sorry as she was walking away but did not sound sincere. Owner seems to be resting on laurels and needs to invest in friendly, capable staff. read more
