I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Bijou Nail Bar. I was placed with a brand new employee who clearly was not ready to be working independently. Instead of properly soaking off my gel polish, she aggressively filed my nails down to the point it was painful and left my natural nails damaged and paper-thin. My cuticles were barely touched, my nails were filed unevenly, and the polish application was poorly done from start to finish. I sat there for nearly 40 minutes hoping someone would notice what was happening and step in to help, but no one did. Thankfully, I was finally able to get Amanda's attention myself, and she kindly removed some of the polish so I could at least leave without it looking worse. After spending almost 1 hour and 45 minutes in the salon, I left with ruined nails and never even received the pedicure I had booked. The attached photo shows the condition of my nails when I left the salon -- damaged, over-filed, uneven, and completely unacceptable. What makes this even more upsetting is that my three daughters and I have been loyal customers since Bijou Nail Bar first opened. I've always supported this business, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I also requested that the owner call me directly regarding what happened, and I still haven't heard a peep. Had someone simply been honest that the salon was short staffed or that the employee was still training, I would have appreciated the transparency and gone elsewhere. While the facility was beautiful and the staff was very kind, made sure you liked what you were getting, and they had beautiful colors to choose from, I'm not sure I'd return. I went to this nail salon on my way to start my first job in a different state and was excited to have my nails freshly done for my first day of work. The quality of the gel was worse than anything I've ever seen. It's only been a week and every nail has chipped. I don't use my hands often so I'm not sure how this happened so easily. Wish I could stop back in to have them fixed but I'll be out of town until winter. read more

Tran does an amazing job on my nails, and all of the nail artists are very creative, we get lots of fun designs. Pedicures are always clean and nails shaped just as I like them. I went here a few weeks ago for dip mani. A little surprised to be charged an extra five dollars to add shape to my nails, which were already shaped they were just filed down. Then it was very disappointing that within two or three days, my nails started chipping and flaking. I will not be returning. read more

Nikki is the best nail tech ever. Only reason why I haven't left a review about her yet is because I don't want my girl getting so booked up I can't make appointments so often with her . Walked in and was seen right away. Everyone was very nice and place was very clean. I didn't request anyone specific since I was getting a simple gel manicure but I wish I did. The tech I had rushed through my manicure, polish wasn't evenly applied and wasn't cured enough so the next day I had several chips. read more

We made an appointment and had to wait 15 minutes to not even get tended to. The sole aromatherapy comes we essential oils which we had to ask for. We were so frustrated about the experience we left halfway and they weren't even apologetic. My water was cold and when I asked them to make it warmer twice they ignored me. Let me start by saying that Ellen does great, detailed, work and she is a great artist. However, I walked in with an appointment and waited 30 minutes to be seated. I got charged $70 for an acrylic fill with a couple repeating designs. Nails chipped after a few days. I also sat there and no one even welcomed me or spoke to me at all for a good amount of time. I felt like I was bothering people or invading their space because the staff looks up at you when you come in like you're a bother and then ignores you. Such a weird and uncomfortable experience. My niece and I went to this salon today to get pedicures. Neither of us were happy with the experience. I chose the $45 one. When I got home I had to put polish on my big toes again, as she had left the tip of my nails unpainted. My toes were not filed smooth or straight and I had white stuff get on my skirt and residue left on my heels and a big glob of green gel was on the back of my leg. The leg massage barely existed and that is one of the reasons I pay for the higher pedi. I even mentioned to the receptionist that I wanted a good leg massage. My niece fared no better. Her nails looked good, but her pedi was over super fast and her leg massage lasted about a minute. We will not be back. read more

Good service, once they get to you. I have tried this place a few times, hoping service improved. They take you right away and then make you sit in a chair and soak for 30 minutes until they get to you. Way understaffed, and they should make that clear when they make appointments. read more

I hate to do this but this place sucks. Walked in and no one even spoke to me the first 5 minutes. Asked the girl if I needed to sign in and she ignored me. Took two hours to get my nails done. The girl who did my nails had such long nails herself she couldn't properly do mine. She kept bumping them right after she'd paint one. Then had the nerve to say "oh you bumped this one." Cut my nails down and left them completely jagged. Said my nails were week and she'd file them and fix them after she put the gel on. It was not my nails, it was her lack of skill. IThen they tried to charge me $12 for removing my dip. My dip wasn't removed fully until I'd been there for about and hour and 15 minutes. Sorry but it doesn't take that long to get dip off. I understand paying for removal when you AREN'T getting anything done after but that's insane. Will not return and waisted my evening getting nails that my 3 year old niece could have painted. read more
