They use e-bikes, but it is very customizable as you can turn it off, ride on eco which like equalizes the weight of the bike to make it like a regular bike, or 2-3 other speeds. It was my first time riding an e-bike but it was an easy transition. The provide the helmet as well. The facilities were very nice, the people were nice, there was parking, and it was an enjoyable ride with lots of opportunities for pictures along the way. There was about 25 people in our tour. Would definitely recommend, really felt like I got to see a good portion of Detroit.

Brian was our driver and had kept communication with us pre arrival via text and was very flexible as to what we wanted to see on the trip. Everyone had a great time and Brian also helped taking many pictures and gave us all types of historical information about the city. He was very knowledgeable. This is a review for a rental and repair, not a tour. I was biking with friends on the Riverfront…read morewhen one of them got a flat. We thought going to Wheelhouse to rent a bike or get the tire repaired seemed like a good idea. We showed up just as they were opening at 11am. The employees pull out the rental bikes and lock them up as part of their opening routine. My friend and I were waiting off to the side when the employee came over and said we were in their spot for their bikes. Ok, so we moved to a different location, she came over and said you're still in our spot. Ok, we moved further away, only to have her come over and tell us to move again. I get they have spots to put the bikes, but after the 2nd time, couldn't she have just pointed out a place for us to wait instead of telling us to move yet again? It was pretty irritating. So they open at 11, but apparently they cannot help you until they've pulled out all their inventory and locked it up outside the shop. We asked about a rental and she just kept saying - I'm busy - I can't help you until I'm done here. We asked well how long are you going to be? She didn't know, but just kept saying I'll get to you when I'm done. We said - well what about getting the tire fixed - how long do you think that might take? Same answer. Don't bug me, I'm busy pulling all the bikes out, and I don't know. Wow. What a crazy process. You show up when they open - but then stand around for 25 minutes while they prep the shop. Maybe do that before your opening time so you can actually HELP a customer when they show up at opening time. Finally, they were done and my friend asked about renting a bike and they showed her the options. She picked one and they got her set up. She was irritated because she's a seasoned biker and they treated her like an idiot. Again, some basic communication with her would have let them know she knew how to bike and that would have helped with set up. Finally, they agreed to fix her flat while we were gone. When we returned her flat was fixed, we returned the rental and were on our way. We were all really frustrated at the poor customer service and kept laughing about how poorly they handled the situation and the long wait just to get waited on. The bike was fine and the flat was fixed, thus the 2 stars.

Others in my small group went on to tour downtown Detroit and the Canal District. Becky's passion for Detroit is evident. She thoughtfully combined our interests with contacts that she has to really round out our experiences by sharing stories about Detroit's music and food culture. Without Becky's insights I would not have been able to see as much of what makes Detroit such a vibrant city. I could not have asked for a better guide and I am looking forward to a return visit!

The tour part was food and why I gave it 4 stars but the brunch part left a lot to be desired. When you arrive you got a handful of peanuts with a cup of coffee and some cold spinach pie that was cut into 1/5ths. After a little tour of some buildings surrounding the park we were served a very small portion of pizza margherite and a little bit of a charcuterie board with small bottled water. We then toured more of the city attractions and ended at Cannelle pastry shop back in capital park for portions of eclair and almond croissants which were very tasty. You did not go home hungry nor would I say satisfied but the tour was fun. It was a good experience if you didn't know much about the city which wasn't the case with us but still enjoyable. If you're looking for a good brunch this is not for you. If your looking for a fun tour then don't worry about the brunch part. Overall we enjoyed it.

By the time i came back to pick it up Tom had tuned it up beautifully, also telling me he replaced a wire. He not only made the bike perfect, but he didn't charge me an arm and a leg for it. Once he said he replaced a part, i figured "oh boy.. wonder how much that is". It was only $8. His work is amazing and his prices are such a bonus! Thanks so much Tom! I wouldn't take my next bike to anyone else!! Tom was seriously amazing!
