The coffee was good! Not good enough to be $7 for a small cold-brew with flavor. Most cafe's do not charge 50 cents PER pump of cheap, store-bought coffee flavor. I'm always compelled to try new places that have 5 star reviews. The early stages of restaurant and cafe openings are certainly trying times and to see that an establishment is doing a great job off the bat is a good sign! My parents opened the salon next door in the late 90s and sold it probably about 6-7 years ago, so this location is extremely nostalgic for me and I always love to support the businesses in the area. I stopped by Bikeeny on a Sunday morning and was greeted by an absolute sweetheart at the register. I had some questions about the menu that she answered for me with a smile. I ordered two large iced coffees, two bacon egg and cheeses, a chai snickerdoodle cookie, and a feta dill Bikeeny (such a cute name, I could scream!). Everything was out of this world. The coffees were huge and they had a great flavor selection. The cookie and bikeeny were sinfully delicious. The breakfast sandwiches were cooked to perfection. They were simple but amazing and so crispy in all the right ways. I signed up for their loyalty program where you get a free coffee for every 5 you buy. Yay! So happy for them. I LOVE Bikeeny cafe. I am always sneaking out of the office to grab coffee and food here as it's just down the road. Staff are ALWAYS nice, and food and drink are consistent. There has not been a time I have been dissatisfied. Highly recommend. My favorite is a coco banana latte. The Bikeeny's are a delightful little treat too. Don't miss out and come here!! I was up in Malden for jury duty and went in to this coffee shop (conveniently across from the courthouse) during one of my breaks. I'm still thinking about the egg and cheese sandwich. Found this gem while visiting a friend in the area. Brewed coffee has great flavor and Elon's Latte was perfectly done, not too sweet. We ordered a Nutella bikeeny, an Italian cheese bikeeny, and a cinnamon bikeeny. All were fresh and yummy. I loved the texture of the cinnamon because it had that buttery cinnamon-sugar crunch to it. I enjoyed the saltiness that the Italian cheese added to the pastry. I found myself wishing the Nutella had a bit more salt, but no complaints here! Had heard of this place when they'd done a pop up at Idle Hands Brewery and finally got a chance to go to the store itself! Kind of a hole in the wall place and easy to miss if you're driving past, but I definitely recommend stopping in! I got a drip coffee and my fiancé got a mocha and both beverages were delicious. I also got 4 "bikeenys" and all were absolutely delightful warmed up. My fiancé got a breakfast sandwich and enjoyed that as well. Recommend for a quick coffee or a grab and go breakfast! He charges me for a tea knowing I only wanted hot water and only giving me hot water. $2.65 for 12 ounces of hot water. What a joke. Every other place naturally, no charge. So good! The pastries are sweet and light, and because they're so small you can try all the flavors without feeling too full. They're not super filling, but I definitely recommend the bikeenies as a quick snack or light breakfast. It is an oversight that I have not reviewed Bikeeny! My family and I have enjoyed this place since it openned and I wholeheartedly recommend it! It is an intimate coffee shop with a very cool vibe with some of the most outstanding staff in the city! They are always friendly, genuinely are happy to greet their customers, remember us by name as well as our orders and their drinks and food offerings are fantastic. I will always want to support local and independent businesses, and this one is especially solid. I am always impressed by their loose tea offerings, cold brew and my personal favorite, chai latte. My son loves his "Kieran Dream", my daughter has her "Bikeeny" only order and my husband is all about the iced mocha. We truly enjoy the experience each and every time and I have no doubt that you will too! read more

Writing this from the cafe itself. This place is what I've been looking for ever since I got priced out of Somerville. The egg and cheese sandwiches are so good I usually end up getting two- actual egg, actual cheese and incredible bread. The cold brew is great. The space is inviting- try to get a table with the comfy chairs, especially the ones by the window. The staff is great- courteous, prompt and cool with me sitting on my laptop using their free wifi! Oh also, try the bikeenys. I recommend getting one of each. The pastry bread is awesome and goes well with anything from fruit to nutella to blue cheese sriracha. I will forever be grateful to Bikeeny for providing me with free, fast wifi right after I moved. A cafe like this is just what the area needs. Besides a good selection of caffeinated and non-caffeinated drinks, they also offer sandwiches, cakes, and their namesake bikeenies, which are small little pastries filled with fruit, nuts, or cheese. I had a couple of dill and cheese bikeenies, which were delicious although bite-size. I would love bigger versions of these. I also had an iced chai, which was too watery and only got more watery as the ice melted. I wouldn't get another chai here. Even though my drink was disappointing, I'm really glad this place exists. I'll be back to try more and may bump up my review. It is clean, bright, welcoming, and is the perfect spot to get work done or to meet up with a friend. read more

So my friend read all the raving breakfast sandwiches reviews (he did not look at photos) and we decided to give it a try. I got the veggie sandwich and he got the classic... we did not take photos, but there are some up on yelp that are accurate and maybe that's just the style, but not like any breakfast sandwich I've seen. To start, my veggie breakfast sandwich was a soft boiled egg, lettuce, and a slice of tomato, on a potato roll... the veggie part to the sandwich was literally a raw slice of tomato and a slice or two of lettuce. I opted out of the cheese but if you looked at his sandwich, the cheese was just thrown on, not melted. Anyways, it was not what we were expecting (we thought it was a warm sandwich and that veggie meant sautéed veggies/onions or something, vs a very basic deli sandwich with an egg). As I am slowly making my way through coffee shops in New England, I have to say I was very excited for Bikeeny Caffe because the reviews are amazing. The shop had a good amount of seats, and was pretty full when I went it. So from what I understand the cafe is known for its pastries which were very delicious. I got the hazelnut and cheese ones. We also got coffees (obviously). First of all, unless you're a 7 coffees a day person, the large is ridiculously (and amazingly) large! It's definitely a two hand kind of cup.
