Good coffee. Great healthy breakfast options. 2 min walk from the beach. There's tons of tropical plants around which give it a laidback, chic boho vibe. I saw there were a handful of parking spots out back but if you can't find a spot, there is tons of public parking by the beach. Staff was friendly, which helps bc I hate places with great food that have horrible service. I will for sure be back. Breakfast tacos were great as well as the keto breakfast bowl. Overall this is a really chill spot! I came all the time when it was Shoreside, and as a local the location is super convenient. (super dog friendly btw*) I usually get the iced shaken espresso and their pistachio muffin grilled with butter - delish! Breakfast tacos are also an easy go to. They now serve brunch/alcoholic beverages (not yet tried) Reading some comments left about the new owners I will say giving someone a sincere smile or just keeping an upbeat attitude can go a long way! The food has always been consistently on point, and on my recent visit, I was excited to see they've added mimosas to the menu--just $6 a glass, which is a great deal. It was the last night they were doing Taco Tuesdays so decided to get a to-go order. The Hawaiian's were my favorite - super flavorful, juicy and could taste the pineapple! The staff has been consistently friendly. Their coffees and breakfast wraps are delicious and they've become my new go-to place for both. I haven't lingered there after getting my order but it's a really nice bright space and looks like it would be great for meeting a friend or getting some work done. read more

Went on a weekday morning. Wasn't busy, staff was super friendly / attentive. Food was good, the bacon I got was a little bit fatty but didn't ruin the experience. The wait for the food was a few minutes but the freshness was worth it. Food appeal was good and the menu has plenty of options. Horrible weather today in Winthrop caused for closed roads and horrible traffic (and calling out of work!) I went to Selva for a pick me up and wow am I glad! I got iced 2 caramel lattes with almond milk for myself and my roommate. It was very good and didn't have the crummy caramel that some places have. I also got the wake up tacos which were even better than i was expecting. The chorizo adds a good texture and flavor, and the sauce is delicious! I will definitely be back for these. We've been once before, before the rebrand to Selva. It was good then, but great now!! The ambiance is nice with the plants and wooden decor with a good view of the city and ocean. I have spent a ridiculous amount of money and time on this place because I enjoy the comfort of their consistent staff--Grace, Lucas, and Julia. If it wasn't for the warmth of these individuals, it would be a different story. I don't believe the business owners contribute to their business as much as those that maintain it. I'm observant for months before I conclude on a business model and morale, and this is what I have concluded: Katherine, the female owner, isn't pleasant to order from unless you're Caucasian or Colombian. Her presence is incredibly uncomfortable to push through. This coming from individuals, both local and out of state, that I have brought to the coffeehouse. Steve, the male owner, is also not pleasant to communicate with. In a short interaction I learned Steve has a greed disease. An immediate turn off as a consumer and entrepreneur that believes in supporting those that believe in the greater good, and paying it forward. I informed Steve it would be great for the business to consider making a kid size açaí bowl because diabetics can't afford paying the cost of a sugar rush for $15.00. Steve replied they could offer a smaller portion for the same amount of money--but a kids size was out of the question because it was too "time consuming." I didn't continue engaging in the conversation because dealing with a business owner that doesn't listen to costumers--especially consistent one's--isn't time or energy spent well. I won't discourage you from supporting this business because they have a great set of young adults working for and under them, but I do encourage you to use your discretion. Restaurateurs should have goals that include positive mannerisms and those of integrity--which they both seem to lack, from observation and experience. One star for each of the three amazing young adults and the service they personally offer as individuals. read more

I was in the area so decided to drop by. I got a dirty chai with coconut milk, for some reason it rang up as $10.63... which is obviously ridiculous for a drink but I was in a rush so I just went with it and added a tip. $12.22 was the total. The actual drink was watery, bitter, and there was barely any coconut milk in it. I don't usually make a fuss out of these things but i paid $10. I went back up to the counter and asked if I could get another drink since it was watery but the lady who rang me up looked at me with an attitude and explained to me that's just how the drink is. But complied and I got a matcha latte with oatmilk. After I ordered it I looked back at the drink menu and the dirty chai is actually about $6. Im pretty sure she charged me extra for the shots of espresso which doesn't make any sense since it should already come with the drink? Anyway, the matcha was the worst matcha latte I've ever gotten. Could barely taste the matcha and for some reason it tasted a little salty. If ya don't know how to make a proper matcha, you really shouldn't try. It's just insulting... I really had to go so I just left. I haven't tried anything else from the menu but that was my experience. read more
