    Tuna Melt

Great coffee shop in Melrose! Stopped in for lunch and had a delicious tuna melt & some great cold brew coffee. My dad enjoyed his caprese panini. There are tons of great breakfast and lunch options on the menu and an extensive coffee drink selection! The inside seating area is great for getting some work done while enjoying your coffee. There is also outside seating available just outside the cafe! The food came out quickly and the service was friendly. Great neighborhood cafe!

I enjoyed my time at the Cafe, my roommate and I went there for a change of scenery. Folks who are WFH can relate. This had been my first time there and I ordered a grilled Cesar salad. My Cesar salad was okay, the dressing was too acidic for my liking but the ambiance was great. The music was at a convenient volume level and the seating was arranged in a way that followed COVID guidelines. The customer service was exceptional. Prior to going there my roommate had called to make sure they weren't too busy and the WiFi was good quality. Whoever she had spoken to had such joie de vie in his tone that it made me want to explore this Cafe. Again, the salad not my best but the Cafe atmosphere is top notch. There is 2 hour parking located in front of the establishment and you can find parking in the back.

I came back a second time to get a panini before writing a review. I will say I like the decor of the café, and the service has been great. The panini's have been mediocre, not terrible but not great. First, I tried the jitterbug. I found it plain, the turkey was meh and even the sourdough was flat. The Granny Smith apples were also a dud. I wanted to give it another shot, so I came back for the Panino, it sounded good with pine nut pesto and mozzarella and sliced tomato on rosemary focaccia. Even that landed flat. It was just boring with little flavor, the only flavor I got was the reduced balsamic and that was overly sweet (more like the balsamic glaze thickened with sugar than a reduction). Even the focaccia was barely crispy. This last trip though I got a snickers latte. It was a little sweet for my taste, but it was delicious (and yes tastes like a snickers). I got an iced latte, oh and wow was the cup flimsy. The cover had a poor seal, I got latte all over my shirt! It was on secure and the cover was still leaking like a sieve, and just holding it the cup indented significantly and of course, put pressure on the cover and through the straw opening. I gave this place a solid try. I would be willing to try other things here, however I don't see going back soon.

I have been living 5 minutes away from Jitters Cafe for the past 2 years and this past weekend was the first time I've been there... sad? I know... But so happy I checked this place out. The moment I walked in, I noticed the place is pretty spacious and a nice place to sit and chat with friends or a quiet spot to get some work done. I came on a Saturday around 11am-12pm and this place was literally empty. There was about 5-6 employees behind the register. Way too many people working for an empty shop, but maybe I just beat the rush? The female cashier was nice and approachable. She saw that my boyfriend and I were looking at the little menu behind her and she immediately offered us a closer menu to browse through. I ended up getting the iced snickers latte and my boyfriend got a hot cappuccino that totaled up to around $7. Great prices! There was a little station to fix your coffee up to your own liking with sugar and all which was very convenient and handy! Also, some Purell hand sanitizer? That is GOLD! lol Overall, the Snickers latte was eh. It didn't taste like coffee or snickers to me. It tasted more like milk. However, my boyfriends cappuccino was delicious!!! I definitely will be back and getting that instead. Their baked goods look so yummy and I was totally tempted, but we were on our way to lunch elsewhere!! I can't wait to try their baked goods and sandwiches next time! SO happy we found this place so close to us!! :) P.S they also have outdoor seating and street parking.

Grabbed a few different pork buns, pineapple bun, taro bun, and coconut bun. Prices are definitely better than the pastry shops in Central FL area. The lady that rang me up was very nice. I would have liked to try their duck but I guess next time. Having the coconut bun as I'm typing this, it's got a very decent amount of coconut filling. The bread tasted fresh and texture pretty good.

I will generally ask them to not chop up the meat for me. It's convenient and they do it very quickly, but my boyfriend is not a fan of the shards of bone co-mingling with the meat. I will warn you that cutting it up at home will result in a HUGE mess because these birds are fatty, but it's worth it to me to carefully debone the meat. There's a bit of a language barrier but that doesn't stop me from asking for extra ginger scallion oil. Ask for it. They will give you one sauce. It's really good and we're not Chinese and they don't understand that we can't get enough of it. The soy sauce is also good. There is a bakery here but I've only ever gotten the meat. It is a typical Chinese cafe. Basic. No frills. Nothing fancy. The food just kind of speaks for itself. This is a To-go place. I think every time I've been here, there's been little or no wait.

All the pastries and baked goods seem freshly made and are displayed in a unique way in the shop. Everyone here was super friendly and clearly had great camaraderie which added to the feeling of being in a family run place. I found the coffee in general was made well and the craft lattes had a nice balance of flavor and sweetness. I also ordered a raspberry muffin which had actual fresh raspberries in it! Im excited to have found this place and can't wait to come back!

First visit since COVID to this charming but cramped and aging shop with over-the-counter service,…read moreabout a dozen different muffins, and a single tiny table by the window. It's almost entirely takeout and on weekend mornings the line is as packed as a subway car during rush hour. The staff is efficient, courteous, and businesslike. I bought a box of muffins at opening and the whole box felt warm-- a great sign. -- Raspberry Chocolate Chip Muffin: I ate this in the shop shortly after opening, while it was still piping hot, with the raspberries nearly a liquid and the chips somewhat melty. Nice soft texture and good contrast of flavors. -- Blueberry Muffin: I broke off and sampled a piece a little later in the morning (okay, 15 minutes later). Still somewhat warm, with a sponginess leaning toward Play-Doh territory (not necessarily a bad thing), but overall good. Neither noticeably sugary nor noticeably buttery. Blueberries were closer to adequate than impressive. Good muffin but with no standout characteristic to hang your hat on. -- Cranberry Muffin: Probably the best of the bunch. The highest crown (though no overhang), with a crusty surface and a good amount of big cranberries on top. Decent understated flavor to the dough, almost biscuit-like. -- Chocolate Chip Muffin: Overloaded with chips on the top surface (I'd hesitate to call it a crown), with none below. Plain dough that's thankfully not overly sugared, but not particularly moist. These muffins aren't cheap. Once you factor in the tax and tip, it's close to $7 each, and we're not talking about particularly large muffins. If anything, they're small, with no overhang and no streusel. Nothing wrong with small (they're dense, so will still fill you up), but for the price it catches your attention, as does a "coffee house" with only one table. The muffins are a well-deserved 4 even without overhang and streusel, but the other aspects bring it to a 3. Best for local pick-up.
