ATI Physical Therapy is discreetly hidden in office building near the Baptist Hospital (Abrazo…read moreHealth) off Bethany Road in Phoenix. The place is easy to get to and parking is plentiful. Dion, the Clinic Director is just plain awesome. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and a master at his craft. He does not hesitate to share his knowledge to his patients and his peers. You can tell he has a love for his job and his craft which is hard to find. He does not make you feel small or insufficient which those feelings can sneak up on you. For me, my journey is a broken arm at 56, at an age when I am at my worst shape ever. overweight and riddle with arthritis. I have a long journey and have made so much progress. Dion and associates, Ed, etc, I have nothing but praise. These are a group of fun people that you wished you were friends with outside of work and are true professionals making this journey a pleasant one making one at ease. HOWEVER,**** When there is light, there is also darkness, and I am referring to ATI's Billing Department so any new patients' trend with caution. I had issues with their billing department where the associates do not return your calls or emails, there are no follow ups, and they have no common sense of flexibility. For the most part, they are pleasant on the phone but deliver no substance in their solutions or explanations and I had to go beyond them to get routine matters resolved on my own and bothering folks like Dion, something he does not deal with on a daily basis because it is not his job, but he cares and points me in the right direction. Would I go to ATI again in the future, yes, but I would make sure every step along the way is covered with insurance and billing issues. As I am in the final stages of my medical treatment, I have this cloud over my head, a dark cloud of "what if" with the billing department. My latest fight with the billing department will work itself out. I did everything I was supposed to do as a patient and also went the extra mile for my insurance company because I do not trust their billing department. If the billing department was not in this review, it would easily be a 5 star review.

Not this location specifically, but ATI in general is a terrible place to work in any position. PT…read moreand PTA are under constant stress, having to solely rely on their OSS because corporate wants the doctors to see 13 patients a day each for over and hour, which is not possible. Patients are constantly complaining because they want one-on-one attention from PT when it is not possible due to high volume patients comin into the cllinic. OSS are doing all the work in the clinic from washing/drying laundry, working with patients, scanning/explaining paperwork, cleaning the clinic, answering the phone and scheduling appointments. If you like a fast-paced environment with terrible pay and constant cleaning after others, this is the place for you!

No question about 5-Stars here whatsoever…read more The DHPT Staff from reception (thank you Miss Genesis) on that first day until my last appointment exhibited unwavering Compassion and Empathy, and Skill. I am especially grateful to Miss Andrea for her Knowledge, Patience and kindness. Thank You Miss Becca, Miss Diane, and Mr Chris, y'all made it easy for me to come in several times a week during an extraordinary year (not sure how easy I made it for y'all though) I will Always be indebted to these wonderful folks. I recommend them unequivocally.

My last visit to Desert Hand Therapy (DHT) - bittersweet! It…read moreall started in December of 2015 with Karin, all of my evaluation measurements were in the negative. She made me feel at ease and assured me that I would win this. I thought I'd never recover from this injury. My mobility is now at 92%. I certainly did not enjoy the recovery and pain. However, the staff at DHT made my therapy enjoyable (never thought I'd use 'enjoyable' and 'therapy' in the same sentence). Carlos-the ability to be myself and your humor got me through this. You're awesome and I'll never forget your gentle approach - except when you were stretching me, not so gentle :) Thank you for pushing me!!! Katy(sp?) - You're great, love your easy going personality and your ability to connect with patients. You have a bright future ahead, just focus on the end result. I've said this before and I'll say it a million times, if necessary - you're ALL amazing people providing extraordinary care!!!
