On May 27, 2026 my 1990 GMC four-wheel-drive pick up was stuck up on White Pass in a very precarious situation. Beau, a very experienced driver with all kinds of skills for different situations under his belt and more than 10 years of experience. He was able to evaluate the situation and come up with a plan that was safe and with positive results. Beau and I had a great conversation all the way down the mountain. He felt more like a friend, than a business person. He got me in my truck home safely. The dispatchers were fantastic because the day before I had taken photos in of my truck, and let them see if it was even possible to move it safely. With the help of the manager and the dispatchers they had seen all the photos and knew it would be a safe recovery. They worked with AAA to make this experience one of my best breakdown experiences over 50 years. They are truly the best towing company I have ever seen in the Western United States. Yesterday I was rescued by Mike from BILKO Towing. I was on my way from Seattle to Curlew which is 6 hours East of the Mountains. I was 2 hours into my trip with my grand daughter when my truck suddenly shut down. I pulled over on the shoulder by Exit 162. I called AAA to call a tow company. BILKO Towing came to the rescue. At no fault of the owners of this company I am not a happy customer. They honestly should hire better help. I called roadside on my insurance as my car would t start. They sent Terry from BILKO towing. He informed me he worked on commission so he would hook up a charger and if didn't start in 1 minute he was leaving to go take care of a mail truck driver that was waiting for him at a bar. He got mad when I wouldn't let him unhook my battery positive charge that would have wiped my computer. He hooked a tiny charger on my car 1 minute didn't work... he then directly jumped from his truck but left the cable on for 1 minute then unhooked it and told me he had to go he couldn't help me. He gets paid on commission he said so the more clients he sees in a day the more money he makes. Earlier he couldn't get a jeep started either so he left the guy hanging. When I walked up to his truck to ask if he had my other key fob he ignored me and sped off ... I know the owners of this company and have used them in the past but if this is the kind of service I'm gonna get from a guy who works two days a week and helps no one then I'll find another tow service. I have informed my insurance company and we should not have our rates go up for lack of professional service! I'm angry and still don't have a vehicle that will start. I pay the big bucks for good service I don't believe in paying for this type of bs. Your business is going to suffer a great deal of you continue to use this guy! Wonder what his disability reviewer would say if he's collecting money under the table and drawing from the state. FYI his name is Terry. If you get any other driver they should be fine just pray you don't get this one. He also ordered a two truck on my behalf that I did not call for or schedule or ask for. The lady from Bilko who picked up when I called was totally up-front with me, saying that the driver was busy with another customer so it would take a little longer for him to get to me. When the driver (Beau) was ready, he gave me a call to verify my location, make and model, etc. to ensure he wouldn't waste either of our time he might have had to spend looking for me. Once he got there, Beau was quick getting the car loaded up -- clearly he has a lot of experience. There's also a review on here about Terry from Bilko towing who works on commission and was willing to do sub-par work so he could get some extra cash; Beau too mentioned he works on commission -- and said there was another call waiting for him after he dropped me off. Yet that didn't at all affect the thoroughness of the work he did to get my car towed. He's also a really friendly guy who had a lot of stories that made the drive back to Yakima go by fast. The hours he said he puts in (several 24hr days/week), I don't know if I'd have it in me to be nearly as cheerful as he was, so I really appreciate him and Bilko. read more

4/20/24 10am Best towing experience I've ever had, and no exaggeration, which has nothing to do with the truck really, but everything to do with the driver, Kris. We broke down on August 7, 2023 about 26 miles south of Toppenish, WA on Highway 97. We were fortunate to have phone service and we called AAA who set up a tow with a Bilko Towing. Kris, our tow driver, was really great. We were towing a trailer, and I had to wait for our cousin to come and get the trailer and Kris would not leave until our cousin arrived for our own safety. Crossed over the Vantage bridge by the Gorge the day after Thanksgiving and my daughters car picked up something that blew the tire out. With the peanut gallery in tow (2 dogs and a cat) we tried unsuccessfully to get either the tire off or the flat spare. I conceded it was time to call for the long wait of a dreaded tow. Everything I tried in the Quincy area was unsuccessful. No tires and no tow trucks available. Called Bilko and they said they had someone available and he would be on his way. Within a minute or two Kris called and said he was headed out to the rescue. (Ok he didn't say rescue but he sure felt like Superman) He arrived from Ellensburg in a flash and took my card info and sent us on our post turkey merry little way in my car with the whole crew. He then towed my daughters rig to Les Schwab where they had a tire in stock and swapped the tire out. Yes Bilko offered to try to change the tire but we couldn't get the spare out due to an old aluminum cased lug. Beau from Bilko came out to tow my broken motorcycle from Cle Elum to Bellevue. He arrived when he said he would and with the right equipment. He had a tilting flatbed with a winch and a device called something like a "condor" which securely captured the front wheel of the bike and made it easy to winch it up. He tied the bike down with five straps. Two front, two back and one over the seat. The most secure setup I've seen on a motorcycle tow, and I've seen a few. Bike made it home safe and sound. Our 1996 Jeep Cherokee decided to give us grief as we were towing our ALiner pop-up camping trailer. We were headed South from Ellensburg to Yakima and were fortunate that it allowed us to limp into the view point overlook on Umptanum Ridge. We called AAA for which we have their RV Plus service. There were four of use, the jeep and the trailer who all needed to get to the service facility AAA recommended in Ellensburg. It took forever as their Ellensburg driver was completely slammed. Bilko finally sent out their driver from Yakima. Our wait time was over three hours, but they did an excellent job getting us taken care of. The Jeep went on the flatbed, the trailer behind. They dropped us and the trailer off at the KOA camp ground and the driver stayed until he was sure we were set up. Then he dropped off the Jeep at the service shop AAA helped us choose and arranged for the work. The driver went way beyond what we expected and got us and the vehicles taken care of. read more

The car I was driving broke down smack in the middle of a campground site at the Gorge Amphitheater (so, my broken-down car in the middle of a field full of irregularly parked cars and scattered tents).
