I arrived at 8:50am only to be told I had 2 cars in front of me and it would be a 2 1/2 -3 hour wait for an oil change. I asked why schedule if I had to wait, not much of a response. Basic math indicates over scheduling if I was scheduled for 9am and how many appts were squeezed in before 9am. Thought 9am was a safe time, obviously not at this dealership. Scheduled and appointment online and showed up to this dealership on time to look at purchasing a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Was told I would be helped soon, but unfortunately I was left sitting in the lobby for almost 30mins. No one checked on me, or offered to help me, apparently my appointment time didn't even matter I had arranged with a sales guy there. So feeling very unappreciated and realizing they clearly didn't want my business, I visited another dealer the same week. And it was the best decision ever!! I ended up getting a nicer Grand Cherokee with more options from a dealer that set up an appointment , met me with the Jeep ready to go, and made the whole process a breeze! That's how this appointment should've went here, but it didn't so you lost a customer ready a willing to buy. Customer appreciation and sticking to appointments mean everything especially when prices are already competitive online. The car was brought in for a routine oil change and recall (rear camera). After the recall was serviced, the uconnect system did not function properly. The map would occasionally not load, the "media" button would not allow me to access the media screen to change radio stations, the carplay would work and not work randomly. I spoke with a service advisor, who was very helpful and got a new service appointment set for them to take a look at the issue. In the meantime, a different issue arose involving water intrusion and corrosion of the main wiring harness. the tech was able to diagnose the issue and promptly wrote up an estimate that I had accepted. This is where the train falls off the rails. Not only were the service advisors nearly impossible to get a hold of, but was unable to help me with the one issue I had wanted help with. I was hoping to see if this repair would have been able to be submitted to Chrysler for consideration of Goodwill repair and the service advisor had told me I had to call Chrysler. That sounded reasonable so I reached out and was told that the dealership had to submit a request on their end first before they would consider it. I reached back out on a Tuesday and never heard anything back and when I followed up with Chrysler the following Monday they had still not gotten a request. I reached out to the service team, found out the car had been finsihed for days and just sitting on the lot and that he could not give me any time frame of when he would be able to figure out if this would be considered for goodwill or not. I was just supposed to leave my car there for a week or 2 was his response (with no loaner offered). At that point I decided it was not worth the fight and just came down to pick up the car and pay the over $2k repair bill. The only silver lining was the actual technician that was able to fix the issue and help resolve a few other minor issues. Several things have happened and I have recommended that people now go to Andy Mohr or Kahlo to get repairs. First: I had a part on back order... no biggie because it happens. They searched for a part, got several in, and all the parts were broken. Second: I dropped y car off for a week and nothing was done to it until the day I said I needed to pick it up. WTF?! Third: they realized once they installed the part... "oh ya we forgot to order this other part that is needed too. Our bad!" So now I have to wait three extra days and I guarantee that it's still not going to be done. How have you installed probably hundreds of these parts and not realized... hmmm maybe I need this other part too. Fourth: I am so tired of calling for an update on my vehicle and no one answering the phone. I called and asked for the service manager and got hung up on by the operator. Fifth: After everything and their mistakes and poor work ethic, I am now out of close to $2000 for something that could've been fixed for under $1000. Price gouging is illegal in Indiana just fyi. Sixth: on a positive note the service reps are very kind and do the best they can. It's the mechanics that need to get their stuff together. I really would like to speak to the owner or the service manager about a discount or some sort of reparations because this is ridiculous. I had the worst experience at this dealership. They had my wife's Jeep for 3 months waiting on parts. Then when I call up there to check on the status they tell me that the part is on backorder and they don't know when they will get the part in... But they didnt tell me this until after we paid them $2000 down payment on an $8000 Bill they wanted to charge me for the work. The whole process is terrible. They lack timely communication when they have your jeep. I had to call them multiple times only for nobody to ever answer the phone. They changed service managers 3 times in 3 months. This dealership needs a complete overhaul, with new staff and new leadership. This was by far the worse experience that I have ever had, when doing business with a dealership. If at all possible avoid taking your jeep here and find another place for your mechanical issues with your jeep. read more

My old car broke down and I needed to buy a new minivan rather quickly. I used a generic car search website and found a good price for what I wanted at Bill Estes. Carfax was good. Went to look at it, and knew I would buy it if it had no obvious defects. I test drove it, checked the tires, looked underneath for rust, etc. I asked the sales person if it had any problems or defects that they would have learned of when it was traded in. He said nope, everything was fine. So I bought it. Brought it hope and was showing it off, and found the left-side sliding door wouldn't activate using the key fob. Ugh. Then I found out half the speakers were blown. And the boot on the front left strut was shot. And a few other smaller things. When you make an appointment for service, it is to drop off your vehicle, NOT when it will be serviced. They will not "get" to your vehicle for several days. I explained that if that was the case, I would need to bring my Jeep back, because I needed it in 2 days. They told me they would look at it and get back with me. Six calls to them the day of scheduled "service", and they only returned 1. They told me the service manager's name was Larry, when we called, they have no one by that name that works there. Three calls to them the day after the scheduled day of service, and they would NOT return calls. I had someone drop me off to pick it up, and it hadn't even been looked at. There was absolutely no noise in the service area. I don't think they have anyone workign there. I am totally surprised at the lack of customer service from a car dealership. read more

I bought a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer Series II Carbide . Extremely cool. But I would not wish going to the service department at Bill Estes in Brownsburg on my worst enemy! I paid for the truck which was about $78,000..then they insisted I buy their warranty for the tires and wheels. So I did. It came it roughly $83,$84,000 . I went and got a cashier's check from my bank and that's history. But this is how I was treated when I brought my new Wagoneer in for service.... They gave a loaner to drive while they had to fix my truck. It took 2 months!! When I dropped off the loaner and asked for my keys. The service manager Jeff Bromson..and also the sales manager Andrew Jones??? Complained to me that I smoked while I used the loaner. Well yes ..no one told me I couldn't. And it took 2 months!! And shouldn't I have been the one complaining???? I mean Jeff the service supervisor literally threatened..saying quote...You are gonna pay for the inside of that loaner to be cleaned and you are gonna pay for the nail in one of the tires or else I'm not giving you the keys to your truck. ! This literally happened. I did not bust up in the dealership yelling or complaining about how crappy the service was or anything! Which I could have! And this honestly all happened the way I say it did. Because I own that truck. I paid for it all up front in full . I paid for all the warranty they had. And that's how I was treated when I came to get my truck after two months of waiting. That's Extortion. Saying I had to reach in my pocket right then and there and pay them cash for whatever they wanted or else I don't get to leave??? That's Extortion..and Criminal confinement. Or kidnapping or whatever. This actually happened . I love Jeep products. But it is absolutely not a place to buy a vehicle because when It comes to your warranty that they sell you for extra protection...they run you off so they don't lose money! They intentionally ran me off knowing that after such a bad experience I'd never come back. So they are offering the hook. I paid $2,500 extra for the Tire and wheel protection. And an extra $7,000 for comprehensive coverage. But when like I said they gave me a loaner to drive..and it took them 2 months just to get a couple new tires put on..and do a dang oil change. And then I get bitched at for smoking in the loaner. So much that they tried to extort money and withheld my keys ..and I OWN MY TRUCK. THE ONLY REASON I DID NOT CALL THE COPS ON Jeff Bromson the service supervisor is BECAUSE I HAVE A 6 YEAR OLD SON THAT WAS IN SCHOOL AND I HAD TO GET THERE TO PICK HIM UP. If I could give 0 stars I would. Never go to this dealership to buy a used car especially. I wouldn't get a new car there either after my experience buying a used car. I bough a 1997 Chevy K1500 from them and found out later the truck was not even safe to be on the road. The truck has been broke down more than it has worked and I have put over $2000 in it and it is still not road worthy. I just can't believe I would be sold a vehicle where the frame could crack at anytime or the brakes go out. I have bought a lot of vehicles and the sales process here was the most pressured and hard core I have ever been through. My head said walk out while my back wanted to get a vehicle and be done with it. (I was replacing a 2018 Jeep Wrangler that had been totaled in an expressway accident and my back was hurting from that.) My back won that internal conflict and I have regretted ever since. I had previously bought my 2018 from O'Brien Jeep and they were top notch to deal with. They did not have the options I was looking for in stock or they would have gotten my business again. Much better sales and service experience there. Back to service at Bill Estes... horrible! I brought the 2020 Wrangler I bought from them in for some service, part of which was a Navigation update. They could not complete it and advised that I needed a new radio which they ordered and said it had been taking 7 to 10 days to get in. At the 10 day mark I called to check on the status. The person who answered the phone tried to look it up but could not find the information. She then checked with parts department and they said it is not there and that they could not track the order. Supposedly the service advisor is the only one that can look that up. The advisor was with a customer so I was told a message was left and I would get a call back that day. After not receiving a call, I called back the next day. He was busy again and another message was left. I waited until the next Monday and still had no call so I called again. This time I was put through to his phone. It went to voice mail so I left a message asking for the courtesy of a call with an updated time line. Still no call back the following day so I called and asked for the service manager. He was unavailable. Asked for the GM. He was also not available. At this point I have no trust in them and feel compelled to warn others stay away this dealership at all costs! read more

Let me start off by saying so far both dodge/ Jeep locations I've been to have had terrible service. My sales rep Caroline, was very nice, patient and new as well. She answered all of our questions in a respectful manner. She had great service. Her co workers, terrible. I was trading in a car, at which they deemed me to be upside down on, and when asking to explain some of the docs, the co worker whom I didn't care to ask his name, was rude. He cut off all of my questions to make me agree to what he was saying. He was very sarcastic, grimey and he did not have our best interest at hand. After being told we could negotiate the price of the car, the co worker sales rep went as far as to say the vehicle was his. After this experience I won't buy another dodge chrysler or Jeep. The sales reps all seem to be sharks and only care about commission. I would not recommend this dealership at all but If you do, choose Caroline. She seemed to actually have a heart and care about our concerns. read more

I've dealt with Bill Estes for both my own service and recently along with my friend who was buying a truck. Both times were awful.Most recently I went with my friend and the entire process was unacceptable. The saleswoman wouldn't get numbers run while we were there due to a time constraint, so we asked if she could have then run and emailed to us which she agreed. Never got an email. Went back the next day, it took approximately an hour and a half to get the first set of numbers. We asked if we could take a look at a different vehicle and she got the keys but made us wait while she stood by the sales manager's desk...we had to go up and request them. During negotiations the saleswoman essentially said I didn't know what I was talking about when I said the limited I purchased was worth less than a Rebel. The ONLY reason we went back to deal with her was this was the only dealer that had any Rebel trucks. Previously, for service I dropped my truck off on Friday, they guaranteed it would be done on Saturday. I tried calling Saturday to get a status update, couldn't get through so drove there just to find out they hadn't even started the service. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. read more

My husband and I just bought a Jeep here a few days ago. The sales rep, Alex, was fantastic and worked with us to make this a smooth process. Traded in our GMC Terrain and the process seemed seemless until we got to financing. The finance guy, Monte, was extremely pushy and deceiving throughout the entire process. We didn't want any add ons, and he kept expressing how important a certain one was and kept telling us it's only $300.. my husband and I both agreed that 300$ was minor in the grand scheme of things. Monte kept pushing papers and my husband kept trying to ask about what he was signing and why the monthly payment was higher than what we agreed to. Monte said he'd explain at the end rushing though docs and kept talking about his grandkids to distract us. When we finally realized the 300$ was actually our monthly payment after he added $3500 of add-ons to our financing, and that's why our payment was higher than we talked about- he claimed he didn't know how to reverse it and then quickly left for lunch at 4pm. My husband asked him multiple times how much the add ons were and instead of saying 3500$, he kept referring to our monthly payment. Which was irrelevant to us because we told Monte we would likely pay the car off in the next few months. We were able to talk to the manager who could tell we were pissed and got most of the add ons reversed. The more we thought about the process, the more we realized how slimy Monte had been and unfortunately it tainted our entire experience at this dealership. We are still waiting to hear back about a windshield crack we were promised to be fixed and I'm hopeful that's a smooth process so we never have to deal with them again. I'd recommend going somewhere with a good reputation. This is exactly why car dealerships have such bad reputations. read more

Sales staff that I encountered is rude and not at all knowledgeable. These guys act like they sell cars so easy and refuse to put any effort in to it. I have been shopping up to 40 miles away from my long standing home of 20 years. And I always try to buy local for the ease. I have tried both locations and they almost go out of their way to disappoint. Unless you are there to buy a loaded new car you are not worth the effort. That's my 2 cents. Then I went to Bill Estes Ford down the street and started talking to a guy and he was trying to screw us over and said he would call us if he could find something for us and I said no thank you, I can't really trust you. Talked with the sales associate last week and confirmed with his manager yesterday that they would be willing to allow me to pick up the vehicle I was interested in, and take it to be inspected. Scheduled to meet them today at 9am. They texted me this morning before we even left. We drove almost an hour there. When we got there they went to get the keys so that I could drive the vehicle I was looking at and they had it running when we got there. The manager that confirmed it was fine for us to take it to get inspected then came out and said that wasn't possible because he had 2 other people coming to look at it and one was a man from KY that was driving down tonight. He asked us to give him a deposit to even drive it today. We immediately left. This dealership and their ethics or lack thereof are why you should steer clear. One way or the other they intended to mess up someone, us or the guy driving from KY. When we got home a lady from the dealership had the NERVE to call us too to see when we were coming in. read more

My wife and I recently purchased a 2011 used car from Bill Estes Chrysler in Brownsburg. We had been looking for a year and decided to go with a trusted name. We received a good deal on the car and after being shown the checklist from the maintenance staff demonstrating they had checked the entire vehicle before sale, we trusted the information presented and moved forward with the purchase. The salesman was kind and courteous and assisted us through the process. But, after getting the car home, we turned the car on two days later and found that the car had a low battery light. After further inspection of the battery, we found that the battery was the original (7 years old). After purchasing a new battery for 212 dollars, we brought it to the attention of the salesman who promised to check into it. Two emails and another week, we never heard back from the salesman or the dealership as to what they planned to do with the situation. We were very disappointed that the dealership dropped the ball on this issue. I guess the lesson from here is: The trust that is stated in the commercials may not always be in place when purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. read more
