I made a last minute appointment for the same day after having a week of tension in my neck and…read moreshoulders that would not go away. I scheduled a one-hour cupping session with Amanda. Being new to cupping, I had no idea what to expect and, wow, it was better than I anticipated. Amanda took her time to talk with me when I arrived to get to know me and explain the cupping process. She spent the beginning of the appointment doing a deep tissue massage, focusing on my areas of tension. This included some stretching, which felt amazing. She was very knowledgeable, commenting on reasons for tension/knots in certain areas and even knowing from massaging my neck that I clench my teeth! At the end of the massage came the cupping. Amanda used stationary cups (the traditional ones that stay in place with suction) as well as cups that she moved around, describing it as almost a "reverse massage." This was a "hurts but feels good" situation for me. I really enjoyed it, and felt like the tension in my neck and shoulders was finally relieved. Amanda suggested an epsom salt bath and rest as cupping is intended to detox the body. I took her suggestions and felt so relaxed. The cupping did leave marks but they went away in about a week. I would absolutely go back for a massage and cupping!

First, when I book an hour massage and include 2 add ons (dry brush and foot scrub), I don't expect them to be bundled within my one hour massage. It should be an hour massage plus the add-ons. My girlfriend was fine with hers (except for reason above), but 2 issues with mine. First, Kaitlyn did ask me if I wanted any area to have special attention and I said my scalp. Just before the massage ended, I think she may have massaged my scalp for a minute. Second thing: my entire massage was with me face down. My girlfriend was asked to roll over, but I remained face down the entire hour. I have never had an hour massage when only one side was treated. Despite that, I gave them each a $20 tip for their time, but neither of us are inclined to return. And if you are thinking they must have been busy that day, no. There was no one in the waiting area when we arrived and one person walked in when we were leaving. I emailed the owner to share this (not requesting a refund but as a head's up) and never heard back.

Let's just start this off by saying that I am NOT, in any way, "massage guy". I actively dislike…read morepeople touching me and am super dicey about my personal space. So when my wife first mentioned a couples massage at this place, I was...apprehensive, to say the least. :| So having never actually had an actual massage, I have no point of reference here as far as judging how "good" it was, I can only go by how good it seemed, and it seemed really good! The place is basically like a converted house and is super cozy, that helped a lot initially as I kind of felt relaxed in the space right out of the gate. We were greeted by the 2 masseuses (masseurs? No idea honestly but they were both chicks), and walked upstairs into the couples room. The room itself was SUPER chill, like dimly lit, trippy music playing, essential oils misting, etc. etc. Really wild. The thing I didn't notice initially was that when we first walked in, it felt too warm...maybe? But once things got moving, it was actually perfect. They instructed us to disrobe as much as we were "comfortable", which for me was not disrobing at all. I was actively told by my wife that was NOT, in fact, an option. They also offered to let us use the bathroom across the hall if need be. Pro Tip here: When they offer, if there is ANY part of you that thinks you might even need to use it just a LITTLE, you should do that. Let's just leave it at that. About 5 minutes later they came back in and got started. So they basically like work your back, arms, legs, etc. Then flip you over and do like the front of your legs, arms, head neck etc. It seemed very structured and planned out in a certain way, which I appreciated. Again, having nothing to compare it to, I can only say how it was for me. And for me, it was freaking amazing. The best money I've ever spent on any kind of like "luxury thing". Felt like a completely new man afterward and have been back twice since. Unfortunately, I can't remember the names of the people that worked on us, but at this point, I'm pretty sure that no matter who you get, you'll be happy. Also, I elected to pass on the feet and glutes option cuz no way that's ever happening, but my wife did not and highly recommends that you do not either!
