Had to call Bill Matrix to make a payment for our SoCal Gas explain to me why we are having to call a company that is in the Philippines to pay a gas bill that is here in the United States and then they're asking for all of our personal information which nine times out of 10 this is how our credit cards and our bank accounts get broken into I would just like to know how that happened to where again we are sending our business out of the United States why are we not set up to handle this here in the United States and have our citizens who live here in the United States handling our accounts ?? read more

Speechless - just speechless - trying to pay my SoCalGas bill. For some reason SoCal use Bill-Matrix as the payment vendor, problem is, you are stock in either a never ending loop of errors when trying to make a payment, and when calling to talk to somebody, you get a guy who barely speak english, who keep repeating what you tell him back incorrectly.. When i asked for a supervisor I got a guy who introduced himself with multiples names as the conversation progressed.. how can you ask me to give a credit-card number to a guy who is not even sure what his name is today.? Horrible! I have been trying to make my monthly payment directly to my insurance company but apparently BillMatrix is the one who process it. For no reason BillMatrix are unable to process my payment using one of my credit cards and I have absolutely no problem with my creditor. So I do not know why BillMatrix cannot process my payment. There is no valid reason. I called them and I am on hold for over an hour now. I also tried to send them an email explaining and the auto response says: "I am not their customer" so my email cannot got through because I am not in their list. So I have no choice to keep on hold forever!!!! Incredible! It is not fair that we have no option to resolve this issue. read more

Horrible! I found a fraudulent charge on my small business account after doing end of year taxes. It was a one off charge for $40. The transaction was only "Bill Matrix". I called to dispute it because I've never had an account with them or done business with any billing agencies that have an account with them. Their reply was basically "if you can't give us your account details then we can't help you". I DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT! I was fraudulently charged by this company and they can't even tell me why or help me. I have a small business and I can look up every single credit card charge for my customers going back for more than two years (regardless if they have an account with me or not...I can look it up simply by date of charge). They can't look up a charge going back three months. It's a shady company and they are a bunch of thieves. read more

Literally the worst choice of merchant processing SDG&E could have chosen. A Bill Matrix representative submitted our payment to the wrong account, we got our next months bill and it showed no payment. So, we called again to inquire, the representative found the error and admitted that they applied our payment to the the wrong account, she said she fixed the problem and applied to our account. All good right? NOPE! The only thing that person did was reverse our payment back to us. Just got our newest bill and now it's three months worth of charges. The charges are not the problem but just the shear lack of competency is outrageous. My next review is a whistle blow to the better business bureau, THIS COMPANY SUCKS! read more

Bill Matrix and Swepco are a team of thieves. Please make sure you are paying out of the right account because even if you cancel they will not cancel. I had an old banking account attached to my bill matrix/swepco account and when I paid it, it somehow defaulted into that banking account. I noticed it immediately and spent nearly 2 hrs on the phone trying to correct it. Swepco allowed bill matrix to continue to make this payment so that they could charge me the NSF fees when I did everything right. I told them the account was so old that I didn't even recognize this account but they still allowed it to go through the cycle in order to get that fee, even though I made the correct payment minutes later. Bill Matrix will never ever get another quarter from me again I would go stand in a long line before bill matrix get anything from me again. Bill Matrix try and do better please. read more

Worst third party bill servicing ever!! SDG&E uses them. You can't pay more that $1K/day...for a business who has different sites it's very inconvenient. She tried pushing me the automation services, then placed me on hold while I was in mid-sentence, and when she came back told me she placed me on hold because she had to refresh her page. While every other payment network in the world can immediately process payments, Bill Matrix drags their feet. A payment is submitted, and then the funds actually come out of your account some unpredictable number of days to weeks later. This includes payments advertised as "immediate" or "instant". We could just avoid using their services, if it were not mandatory for every single important payment. Bills, loan payments, etc. Why is this company still in business when they apparently haven't kept up with the pace of technology since the 1990's? Why are they allowed a monopoly on payment processing for everything important? They create problems, and we're stuck with them. I'm actually a little bit afraid to leave this review because every time they have made a mistake, I have had to pay for it, with no recourse at all. Maybe that's why this is the only review. Also speechless like many of these other people writing reviews. Bill matrix decided to make three payments on my account at once. Their mistake through their automated payment service. Two went through before I notified that Bill Matrix is just putting through payment after payment. I called my back to report fraud and Bill Matrix is STILL putting payments through. When I call them it takes about 20 minutes to get through. The girl tells me over and over that because she "doesn't see any payments going through" that it's not happening. I told her calmly that their automated service has a glitch and that even though she doesn't see it on her computer that doesn't mean it's not happening. I'm also looking at my app that keeps showing more payments going through and now payments bouncing after I had to clear out the account. She says she can't help me.
