I'm an out-of-state traveler went in for a broken hose. Turns out the hose was not broken. They reinstalled it, the clamp was not put on tight, and told me they filled it with antifreeze and I was good to go. Two days later I stopped to get my oil changed And they checked my antifreeze level and it was 80% water. I paid to have my radiator filled in January with water! Feeling totally ripped off. Be Aware Craigslisters! Dont say I didnt warn ya! Are you trying to save a few bucks by trying out a craigslist mobile mechanic? So was I. Big mistake!! I called this sketchy dude that sounds like he barely understands english only to have wasted my whole day for nothing. We had first agreed to a price then he has me drop off my car and go back to work only to call me an hour and a half later that he has to charge me 2 times more than what he quoted me. This guy is a con artist. I was fooled by reading some of the reviews. Be aware!! He had me meet him in some back alley in San Jose. He talks big like hes some "PRO" when in reality he does not know shit. Went home and found my Wheel Lugnuts loose!!! I had emailed this guy for his service from an ad I saw on his website. I was very detailed and specific. I never got a response. I then followed up with a phone call with the number that was listed. The guy says he hasn't checked his email in a few days! So I proceeded to request for a simple service that he had advertised for mobile service. His quote over the phone was 4x than what was in his ad. He said he would have his nephew call me back... Never got the call. Be forewarned this guy is way over his head. I would say he is the Man on Mission to get 5*****. I found him on craigslist and came to know he is just a block away from my place. Very Honest on what he does. I got my oil change from Goodear and they did the 39 point inspection and said nothing is wrong apart from my Power-steering service and Rear Brakes and recommends me to get the transmission checked for which I have booked an appointment at AAMCO. Bill looks at my car does a test drive and thinks the problem might be something else and not the transmission. After completing 4 wheel Brake Job he inspects the Air Filter and find that my Air Intake hose is broken and that was the cause for the problem. Probably Goodyear's 30 point inspection doesn't check Air Hose that's visible the moment you open your bonnet :) Anyway my 5***** and Future business references about his workmanship is all in for Bill, keep up the good work and your kind attitude. Bill also recommends you to buy parts from your convenient stores or he can get you the parts from the store on his account that gets a 25% discount. Also he would not make you spend for all new parts as most can be bought from Pick n Pull. He will come with you to Pick N Pull, Pick the Part Pull it and Install it for you, but please be courteous to pay him the gas bill as he drives V8 :) read more

Bill is an amazing mechanic, my friends BMW 328xi suddenly didn't start at all when he arrived to my house at San Jose. The cost to tow the car to the auto shop would've been expensive and the quote they gave at the shop was outrageously expensive. We decided to give Bill message early in the morning and he responded promptly and was very professional. My son went to O'Reilly's to purchase a new battery for his car. During the installation of the battery the car's main fuse blew. My son was stranded as he had no power in his car and O'Reilly's didn't have the replacement fuse. Bill happened to be at O'Reilly's and stepped up to help. Finally an an honest quality mechanic! Had Bill replace inner and outer tie rods, one axle, camber bolts and sway bar bushings. He did it for a fraction of the price any shop would charge. He was straightforward with his quoted price and time. Great communication! One of the inner tie rods I brought him was the wrong part, he called me and I was able to go get the correct part for him to install. He saved me a bunch of time and $$$! After this experience I'm confident in his abilities and will bring my car back when necessary and recommend him to others. Don't let the low price fool you! It looks like Bill got together some people to protest my original review and get it removed so he could get his 5* ratings. The things is, this guy was hired by me, to fix my car, which would not start. He came and looked at my car and told me it needed ignitions coils. I asked him if he was sure. He swore on his mum that he'd not lie to me. Made me waste $$$ on those coils, because the car would not start after he installed them. Made sure I paid him first. Then he told me I needed something else or possibly some other part, because, "Benz costs a lot of money to fix". He even tried to get me to sell him the car because it didn't run. I refused, on principle. He can change the reviews all he wants, he left a sour taste in my mouth from his "repair job". It is possible that for a lot of people, he does a good job, he lied to me several times, made me do unnecessary repairs, and insulted me when I asked why he did not as simple a thing as run a check-engine light diagnostic(one would expect that on any modern car, leave alone a mercedes) and when I reminded him of his promise of what he was sure what the problem was. He did not do the job he was hired to do. He promised and not only did he not deliver, he could not. When questioned as to why, he acted unprofessionally and used insults. He also got my review removed earlier so as to mask his behavior. Whoever hires this "mechanic" should know that this con could be pulled on him, especially if he drives a luxury car, and strongly recommend a licensed shop, not this unlicensed mechanic. read more

Wow!!!! I read a ton of great reviews about this mechanic so I decided to give him "Bill" a call. I recently had done an engine swap on my Acura. My Car was drivable for a few days before it stalled on me. I called my original mechanic and he helped me diagnose the issue. The OBD2 scanner had a reading about some relay but as always, it doesn't tell you what to exactly repair on the vehicle. I wanted to get a second opinion on the issue so I called "Bill" after reading all the "great" reviews. I haven't even finished addressing my concern and what Bill said to me was, "I'm sorry you have to call the mechanic. I will not look in to the car. They did the engine swap so they have to fix it." Bill, first of all, I'm not dumb. I know whoever installed the engine into my car should fix it BUT again, I wanted to get a second opinion to see if there's anything else that could be causing the issue that may not be directly tied to the engine itself. Maybe it could just be a wiring issue, maybe something else. So as a Independent Business Owner, you most definitely need to learn about customer service because one of the main things about customer service is Listening to the Customer before addressing a response!!!! read more
