Scary - Went in to get a quote for Inspection II on the M3 because I'm a cheapskate and he had the…read more"$190 special" on his website. Turns out his "BMW Inspection II" had very little to do with BMW's "BMW Inspection II". Example - He will not replace spark plugs. Also tried to sell me a tranny flush for a slushbox that has lifetime fluid. Final straw was when he came to look at the car, asked me to pop the hood, and said "oh man - I didn't realize this was the V6 M3! This one costs a lot more to work on" (BMW uses an inline configuration in all their 6cyl engines, and never put anything but a 6cyl in the E36 M3). If I know that, then someone who claims to be a BMW specialist had damn well better know that too! Moral of the story: Never go to a BMW shop that doesn't have a single BMW (or foreign car of any variety) in the bays, and you get what you pay for!
