We took our refrigerator to Bill Thomas camper sales for repair. After having it for eight days, they said there was nothing wrong with it, but they agreed to go ahead and put a new thermostat in it and said again that it worked and nothing was wrong with our refrigerator. The refrigerator still didn't work and we paid Bill Thomas Camper Sales almost $500. Three days later we were at a airstream rally where Bill Thomas camper sales was at showing their airstreams. We spoke with Bradley Eubank, the general manager, and told him about our complaint with service at his business not fixing the refrigerator. He sent two technicians to check our refrigerator and after running tests they said it was broken and we needed a new refrigerator. We ordered a new refrigerator from Bill Thomas camper sales. When we picked it up we immediately noticed the two front panels on front of the refrigerator were cut too short with one having approximately a 1 inch gap and very noticeable. The parts manager promised to mail out new ones to us the next business day. They never came. We emailed the general manager twice asking about getting our panels fixed. He never responded and he never returned our phone calls. There wasn't any communication from anyone at Bill Thomas camper sales to us in reference to our defective panels on the refrigerator or any communication from them while they had the refrigerator for eight days even though we called several times checking on it Also on our first trip using the new refrigerator we were having some water leakage on the floor under the refrigerator. We discovered when Bill Thomas Camper Sales installed it they never took the zip ties off the drain tube from shipping and it was tied straight up in the air from the drain so no water could drain out and it poured out on our floor. Buyer beware there is no quality control from Bill Thomas camper sales. Follow up- we disputed the price of new door panels on our credit card and won. We also contacted the Airstream Factory and made a complaint against Bill Thomas Camper Sales. The Airstream Factory sent us new door panels. Left our airstream there for repairs a week ago. Staff knew we were leaving for a trip and needed our camper back by the 9th. I called on the 8th twice to see if it would be ready as promised. No call back. So the 9th rolls around and Emily finally contacts us (after we called first) says they haven't even started on our repairs and there are 2 campers ahead of us. Do not bring your airstream if you are on a schedule...they don't care. Will not be coming here again. read more

Purchased a new unit from this dealership and has been nothing but nightmare, they never got it ready for me I drove 1600 miles to pick it up and when I arrived, it had water leak from sink, slide did not work damage all over, it has been at a local repair shop for over two months, manufacturer not covering repairs because they say bill Thomas camper sales did not keep the unit clean, I have mold on my mattress, camper needs seals fixed on roof and to be re caulking all around the camper, DO NOT BUY HERE. They do not care for you after they get your money. YOU WILL BE STUCK WITH A CAMPER YOU CAN'T USE. AND NO MONEY. AVOID AVOID AVOID. read more

I strongly recommend avoiding this dealership. Based on my experience, I found their practices to be dishonest and aggressive. After purchasing from both Bill Thomas and Apache, we will never return to Bill Thomas again. The finance manager, Ronald, made significant errors in calculating taxes--overcharging me by $1,000, which I have documented proof of. When I refused to pay the incorrect amount, both he and a manager repeatedly contacted me in a harassing manner for months. If you choose to do business with them, double-check all numbers, especially taxes, because mistakes--or worse--can cost you. For a better, more transparent experience, we suggest working with Apache instead. read more

1) say they have a line dedicated if you need help. that's true but what they don't tell you is they rarely have anyone on the line to answer questions. they always send them out to shows/conferences and no one at shop can answer 2) I've had nothing but quality control issues with my RV. 3) my sales person told me I could use starlink but that turned out not to be true. 4) they installed some cabling but then put the cables in too short. I live four hours away from the dealer so each time I discover issues it's a huge ordeal to fix. they are good people. truly good humans on individual levels. just not a good dealership. read more

I half expected Yogi Bear to appear around the corner. The campers that Therese H. wanted see have the rounded, shiny-silver look that my childhood memory banks associate with cartoon images of Jellystone Park. I'm not convinced I want one, but Therese H. really likes the "Basecamp" model, which I think she envisions parking on a scenic spot at a national park. I'm hoping it's just a phase in her pre-retirement dreaming, as I'm the son of a guy who spent years buying, renovating, and reselling RVs as one of his hobbies, sometimes with me as free labor. RVs are just work to me. HOWEVER, if we DO buy an RV, then BTCS is an excellent place to stop again. I am from a small mountain town on the eastern side of the Sierras in CA and the closest Grand Design service is at least 200 miles from me so it is never easy to take my fifth wheel in for service. Recently though, I was in St. Louis visiting family with our RV and needed to have a refrigerator Recall service done on my 2021 Grand Design Reflection 31MB. It was the week before Memorial Day and BT Camper was slammed in Service, but Renee and Rich made an opening in their schedule and fit me in on short notice. They were also able to do a bearing pack and brake check which I needed. I was able to wait and work in their lounge and the service work was done in a few hours. I am so grateful for the flexibility Renee and Rich showed in getting me in and they were friendly, knowledgable and professional. The whole BT Camper operation is First Class. The showroom and lounge are very nice and the whole staff was very friendly and low pressure, but helpful when asked about any thing. Double thanks to Renee and Rich in Service! I have never had a transaction go so smoothly. These people are awesome. We purchased a 2020 Grand Design 17 MKE. As part on the sale, we were aloud to spend the night in the camper to try it out. This camper has exceeded all of our expectations. We have looked at hundreds of campers and this by far was the best. The design, the quality and the price were just incredible. We stopped in about a month ago and talked to Scott. Great guy. He showed us a demo and told us about the St. Louis camper show. We met with Bradley at the show and signed up. Bill took us around and gave us a camper class. We found a couple of problems that they fixed on the spot. This camper weighs in at 4475 lbs so we can easily tow it with our Jeep Grand Cherokee. Customer service fail. As a new camper owner, stumbling through the parts department looking for parts on my own with nobody offering to help, I purchased the part I needed with my grand daughter in tow. In the parking lot, my car would not start, it was close to closing time, I popped the hood, waited 45 minutes for my husband to arrive, watching every employee leave the building and not one asked if I was ok, if I needed a hand, if I needed a jump, or a tool which I obviously did with cables lying on the engine. I will not return to Bill Thomas Camper Sales, nor will I suggest them to anyone simply based on a complete lack of customer service, friendliness. They obviously do not need to make sales of any kind and need no referral business. read more

I would give them negative stars if I could. Glen Thomas is a rude person and is very unprofessional. The service department fails to call in advance on warranty and then says I have to pay full amount because they didn't follow the rules. Bought my brand new 2018 Rockwood 7/6/18 and had to take it back on 7/9/18 With a list of problems. Took it on its first trip 3 weeks later even though camper was not fully functional, then back to the dealer service dept. For install of ordered parts plus 2 new issues. Took on a second trip 7 weeks later and cut the trip short because the toilet failed. Service dept. Repaired toilet, then replaced toilet,then repaired new toilet, then replaced with a 3rd toilet. What a load of crap. Service dept. Continues to fail. Out of 15 issues with camper the past year not one problem was fixed the first time. Ca.per has sat at dealership 9 out of the last 12 months for repairs, waiting on parts and repaired again because it wasn't done right the 1st time. Bill Thomas is ruining the RV experience for me. They keep telling me that they will fix it but can not at this time. 5 trips and the unit has never been fully functional. At dealership now with a major life saftey issue with the furnace.but they want me to use it. Yes would not need the furnace today but the fact is my unit has always been in need of repair from day one. Do your home work on after the sale service. Not much recreation out of a recreational vehicle if it sits at the dealership 75% of the time and is not fully functional the 25% of the time I've had it. read more

Had a fabulous experience from shopping models with our salesman, Bryan Hope, all the way through closing. On the day we picked up, Eric, a service tech, spent a great deal of time on our walk-through, and the test drive after they installed our hitch. Eric noted some sway and got it readjusted right then! Closing with Jesse was easy and quick. Then to top it all off they allowed us to stay on one of a few full-service pads in their well-lit lot that first night to "test it all out". What a great service that was! I purchased my Grand Design from Bill Thomas back on 6/28/19. Brought it to the KC area for setup. I have had the 5th wheel a little over 90 days and already the converter has gone bad, fireplace is completely shot and had to be replaced as it doesn't work at all, the back bunkhouse has a leak and the carpet gets wet every time it rains, and the bench to the kitchen table is pulling away from the wall and the screws are showing. It has been in their show since 10/11/19 and yet have I received a call from the service center. I called on 10/18/19 to follow up to see the status and the technicians had already left by 4:30 so no one was able to help me. Stated they would call back on Monday 10/21/19 and let me know something. Here it is 3:50 and still no phone call. I'm very disappointed in the service center at Bill Thomas. Unfortunately, because of the camper we purchased we have to take it back to Bill Thomas for work as the other service centers advised they will only work on them if passing through and don't live in MO. If I could give this camper back and not lose out on the money I put down and the payments I have already made at this time I would. I don't recommend this service center at all. read more
