They will shop around for the cheapest replacement part if you're on a tight budget. Only the owner has any customer service skills, the other mechanic working there is rude and a bit dense. Recently I had an experience that will stop me from ever going here again. We had a rather expensive repair, but it was ok because we'd gotten a large tax refund. We cut them a check but they didn't cash it for weeks, long after we figured they had cashed it. It came back NSF, but rather than contact us they sent us straight to collections, causing credit issues. Really not very professional.

Most of my interaction with Carlson was via email - I could tell that Gary was very professional and knew what he was doing. The repairs were extensive, but our vehicle wasn't totaled, and they fit us into their schedule, even going so far as to let us pick the vehicle up on a Saturday afternoon, less than 2 weeks after the collision. I found out that Gary had actually driven that morning to get the correct replacement headlight from a dealership in suburban Chicago, and made sure it was installed correctly on the car on a Saturday. I've owned award-winning show cars and know auto paint, and our vehicle's paint is perfect, the repairs were done correctly, and we experienced no issues driving the car home 11 hours to Maryland. First-class repair, done fast, by nice people who know what they are doing. Can't recommend them more highly.

My car was taken there for suspension work and radiator hoses from a minor accident. Shame on these…read moreguys. They not only put all the wrong parts on the car, but they said they never test drove it. Ok so I did with the mechanic and my husband. The guy had the nerve to ask if I could drive (it's a car, I've driven semis) and the whole wheel well was flapping.. which they just told me to rip off. They kept saying how I needed a new car. Total red flag. (I didn't, my car had just been inspected by a real mechanic). I get the car home, it's empty of trans oil and the raidator hoses were too large, getting caught in the fan. Their solution was to put trans fluid (not the oil my car takes) and zip tie the hoses. I took it to my trusted mechanic out of the area where we discovered they took my car for a 90 mile joyride, crashed it again.. and blew my engine and trans by way overheating the car. We don't know how, it was a new radiator. My mechanic has a pages long list of how they launched my perfectly good car. He's never seen such s****y work in his life. I called them and gave them one chance to make it right per my lawyer and they denied and got rude. So many people in the area brag about this place and my mechanic and I don't know why.
