They don't explain or are too lazy to pick up a phone to let you know BEFORE they start blowing all your money and doing useless work. They where told to repair the a/c, they didn't. They just recharged it for 565.00 and put dye in it. Never solved the issue, never tried, just a way for them to make 565.00 for doing nothing. I can re charge the a/c myself for 30.00 from NAPA. They will charge you 565.00 for doing nothing and will laugh in your face when you are forced to pay it. This could be the most dishonest shop in Marblehead, the most expensive, and the laziest. It's not about taking good care of their local customers, it's about making as much money as they can at your expense. Go to Barrett's Garage in Marblehead, honest, kind, trustworthy, accommodating and just all around nice. I look forward to sharing my story with everyone I know, including some that are customers right now and others that plan on going there in the future. I called Stephen's back in May (apologies for the delayed review) in the hope that they could…read moreresolve an exasperating problem with my 2006 Jeep Wrangler ... chronic water leaks on the passenger's side door. I bought this Jeep new and it never leaked ... until I made the terrible mistake of having Certified Automotive Disasters (Upham Street, Melrose) do a substantial amount of mechanical and body work (see my Google and Yelp reviews for details of that monumental debacle). I was almost ready to give up on the water leaks when I called a *real* body shop, Stephen's, to see if they would be willing to at least look at it. I wouldn't have blamed them if they declined to try to fix Certified Automotive Disasters' mess, but, luckily for me, they didn't, and I was able to quickly schedule a time to bring it over for them to assess. Enter Shawn Bolger ... although he rightfully made no promises, he said they would try to adjust the door to stop the leaks. I dropped off my Jeep the following week, and, to my absolute elation, their adjustments seem to have solved the dreaded leak problem. Although it didn't rain a lot this summer, we had several heavy downpours and occasional lighter rainfall, and every time, without exception, my Jeep stayed bone dry (including, most recently, the all-day heavy rain on Sun 09.13). To say I'm thrilled is an understatement ... until you've had a car that has water leaks, you don't know how life changing it is to again have one that doesn't. So thank you to Shawn and the techs who were not only willing to try to help a complete stranger with an unconventional request, but who also had the skill and experience to fix the problem. I can't recommend Stephen's enough based on this brief but outstanding experience ... thank you again.

So he politely asked me to move to a certain spot and then directed me to go into the office to see if one of the girls could fit me in that day or I would have to schedule in the future. As we were walking in, he held the door open for me and I saw a car on a lot, and I asked him about it and the. the woman Marie started screaming and swearing like a maniac to close the lobby door and the brother-in-law said to her I'm holding the door for a customer who needs to talk to you. When I left, I was kind of shaken up by the overall experience and Eddie ( gas guy ) asked me if everything worked out. I explained to to him that I scheduled for an appointment in a week because I'm not sure if I'm gonna bring it in or not because I was so offended by Marie's attitude. Eddie then went in the booth and got a business card for his brother-in-law and told me call Anthony-- especially about the car. He's the only one that does them and he's so fair to and good about it that the guys that worked for me at budweiser that I sent him to buy cars, I would always tell them ask her Anthony and not my other brother-in-law John! Anthony is just a good guy who wants repeat Business and he cares about what he does for his customers.
