I don't usually write reviews, but my experience with Bill's Appliance Service was so disappointing, I feel the need to share it. From the start, this company has been a nightmare to deal with. They repeatedly canceled appointments at the last minute. Each time I tried to reschedule, I was given vague time windows that were also later canceled. There's only one technician, and it's clear they're overwhelmed, but that still doesn't justify how rude and unprofessional the phone staff are. When I expressed my understandable frustration over yet another cancellation, they actually told me I was "not being respectful." Really? What happened to listening to your customers and understanding their point of view? It's clear they don't care about their customers at all--no accountability, no apology, just defensiveness and attitude. I later checked their reviews (wish I had done it sooner) and saw nothing but 1-star ratings. It's honestly no surprise. Bills was referred by another business because they are one of the few local certified on LG appliances (Had I checked their reviews I would never have called them !!!) Dakota (owner) came out to diagnose a cooling problem with my 3 yr old $3000 Kenmore Elite fridge. when he got there and found out it was an LG fridge (without testing or even looking at one thing, he told me the compressor was bad) He wanted $1380 to replace it ($860 for new compressor) I bought a brand new LG compressor online for $250 and I let him replace it for $500. The fridge worked for 2 1/2 weeks, the refrigerant leaked out again, same original problem? (I don't think the original compressor was bad, it was never tested!) Dakota came back out and couldn't find the leak, so he installed a door tube bypass, and left a burnt spot on my vinyl flooring, The fridge did not get cold. He sent his dad, Steve out twice to trouble shoot and work on it, fridge still did not get cold (found out that the sealed system is now contaminated). Called Steve and he told me that he would take the fridge to his shop and replace all contaminated parts of the sealed system to fix it for another $600. That was a month ago, called twice a week, Nether one will answer their phone. We had to live out of coolers for 6 weeks. And now we are stuck with a fridge that does not get cold, that I spent $850 to fix, and now has more problems then it did before they worked on it. I had to buy a new fridge!!!! read more

I've been trying to get a hold of them since Friday left a message for them to call back. Filled out their online form and crickets. Tried calling 4 or 5 different times on Tuesday and no one answers. I've used them in the past but apparently they do not want my business as they do not call back. Ended up scheduling with a different repair service that actually answers their phone. read more

These guys were the worst I have ever experienced. After my freezer went out I called them because they were the only authorized repair service of the manufacturer in my area. The strung me along for 24 days and ended by refusing to perform a warranty repair even though the manufacturer had confirmed that it was under warranty. They were completely unresponsive to telephone calls and messages. read more

We have had Dakota from Bill's Appliance Service out twice. A year ago Dakota and his boss went to exceptional efforts to try and repair our washer. In the end, the backbone was broken and it was not fixable. But they charged little compared to the effort made. This year the dryer started making a noise. We called. They came and immediately knew exactly what the problem was, had the part on hand, showed me the bad part, and had the machine working, all in about 20 minutes. I do not love paying a trip and diagnostic charge, but in the end, I am paying for their expertise and experience. I do not understand the experience of the other two reviewers. It is almost like they are talking about some other company. Warning: The phone number listed here is not correct for the real Bill's Appliance. YP has the same problem. Absolutely HORRIBLE!! Do not use this company. They were sent by Home Depot to fix my washer under warranty. They came out 5 times and it still isn't working. They were supposed to order parts and never did, right now I've been 4 weeks without a washing machine. Save yourself the frustration and call someone else. read more

LINDON UTAH: Third week in June 2018 had Bill's Appliance come out for repair on my new LG Refrig. bought at RC Wiley's Orem. Our 6 month old $3300 refrig. has very bad tasting ice and a bad smell that make our food taste bad. Visit 1. Bill's Appliance Tech. checked for leaking lines and then left saying there was nothing wrong. Called Bill's Appliance on 7/2 7/3 7/5 7/6 (never a return phone call) finally on 7/9 they answered the phone and we requested another visit because the refrig. still makes bad ice and smells odd. Was told first available appt. was 7/17 between 9am and Noon. On 7/17 at noon the Bill's Appliance Tech. calls and says he his not coming that our Refrig. is in working order. We told the Tech. it's not in working order and please come and check it out. He told us no he wasn't coming and hung up. RC Wiley's, LG and Bill's Appliance are all at fault here. Still left with a $3300 Refrig. that doesn't work properly. Writing a massive complaint to LG about this service company. read more

I almost did not select this repair service due to the poor reviews. The combination of only 2 reviews and being an LG certified repair facility made me change my mind. I was extremely impressed with the company and glad I didn't cancel. Setting an appointment was easy and a technician responded same day! The diagnosis was solid. I personally watched Dakota, the assigned technician, troubleshoot the issue. Each step was thoroughly tested until the core of the problem was discovered. He was efficient and very knowledgeable. I asked probing questions for a little (selfish) education and he was happy to share. Not only was my washing machine issue addressed, but we discussed options around buying new versus replacing parts. I also received tips on getting the most out of other appliances in my home...that is the value of a person who has been in the business for a long time! Thanks Bill's Appliance Service! read more

Poor diagnostic and communication skills. Charged $100 to fix washer. Washer hasn't worked since. He refuses to come back out and fix it, no less look at it to see if he could have possibly been wrong about the first diagnosis. Call another repair man. Stay away from this guy! read more
