I eat here basically once a week. Got the Asian Chicken Power Bowl today. Amazing!! Huge portion! Enough for 2 meals ! Generous protein and veggies and rice ! Teddy And Staff are great too !!!

My family and I were craving pizza, so we decided to order take-out from this place. We ordered a large King's Special Pizza and Cajun fries on the side. The pizza was alright. I really enjoyed the variety of toppings on the pizza as I like a mix of meat and vegetables present. Although the broccoli and tomato made the pizza slightly watery, it did not affect the crust, which made me happy. Out of all the toppings, I most enjoyed the hamburger meat as it was flavorful and yummy. The Cajun fries, however, were disappointing. The seasoning was highly concentrated on only one side of each fry, making it salty and overly flavorful. While I enjoyed the texture and size of each fry, the seasoning made it tiring to eat. I could not stomach eating it and honestly would have just preferred plain fries. Overall, the pizza from this spot was solid, so I will order from here again if I have any cravings. I would avoid the Cajun fries, though, and opt for plain fries next time. I will give this spot 3.5 stars but rounded up to 4 for this review.

Screenshot of email with coupon they sent

***DOES NOT HONOR THEIR OWN COUPONS*** I'll start this out just by saying that I don't leave reviews, whether the food is good or bad I just go on my way, but this is a different situation. This place usually sends out pretty decent coupons in their email blasts, like a free piece of cake, or 10% off, or whatever. But this past Tuesday they sent out a coupon for $10 off. Now that's a great deal, but not so fast. Like the saying goes, if it's too good to be true... So Friday night comes around, I go to the site, place my order, enter the code, and it comes up as invalid. Okay, maybe it's a zero instead of an "O", or vice versa, so I copy the code instead of typing it in, but still nothing. Alright it's just a glitch I think to myself, I'll just call it in and deal with it at the place. So I arrive, tell the guy at the counter I have a coupon, and he doesn't know what to do. He gets another guy, and he tells me it's not in the system, and tells me maybe it's just for online orders. So I tell him my side of the story, and nothing. The best he can do is tell the owner. I explain to him it's in the email, directly from LITTLE PIZZA KING, but there's nothing he can do. And I get that, I know the guys working the register don't have the power to override the system and grant $10 coupons. So I pay and leave, because I'm not about to return home without a pizza and disappoint my kids. But WTF... I mean c'mon, if it was a mistake and you didn't mean to send that coupon out then it's up to you to send out multiple emails apologizing, and explaining an invalid coupon was sent. You can't just pretend you never sent it. I even told the guys working the counter there's no way I'm the first person coming in trying to use this coupon, but they wouldn't acknowledge it. All in all this is just poor business practice. I mean even Michael Scott had to honor the 5 golden tickets he accidentally sent to Blue Cross of Pennsylvania, but you couldn't come up with ten bucks? I guess it's time to find a new neighborhood pizza joint...

Very well balanced - I especially liked the stracciatella. Taleggio Capeletti (7/10): A bit too rich and too salty for my tastes. I think this dish just needed something to cut through the richness. Still really good nonetheless. Lumache (8/10): The chew on the pasta is impeccable!! The chew on those mushrooms is also insane. Texture-wise, this dish was a home run. For some reason, I kept getting hints of something resembling boar taint in the sauce flavor itself. Not sure why... I don't think there was meat? I feel like I would've given this dish a 10/10 had it not been for the hint of that flavor. Service was very friendly and fast. The restaurant is small, but the seating didn't feel too tight. Even though I gave it a 5/5, I actually don't know if I would come again. The pasta was very steeply priced for not that much food. Although the capeletti was surprisingly filling, I'd rather feel full on carbs than full on pure butter and cheese.

It has a cozy and warm feel. While the initial presentation is a bit scripted and stilted - it's fusion tapas, not rocket science - the staff here is great. Our server knew the menu well, and the host seated us quickly. The food blew me away, though. The Brussels sprouts were savory with a paneer-like cheese accompanying them, and the Mediterranean dips were unique and flavorful with crispy homemade bread to boot, but my favorite dish was the cauliflower au gratin. The cheese sauce was just salty enough, and the cauliflower maintained a great texture. I can't wait to bring my friends here.

With excellent pizza, service and a great cocktail and wine menu, everything they offer is excellent. We have been only a few times mainly because this place gets so jam packed that it is hard to get a table. Small, quaint and cute neightborhood gem. You can tell all the locals flock to this place every weekend. The bar is also perfect to grab a quick bite and it is first come first serve. Move over Tatte because this Spiced Carrot Soup was phenomenal. And, I mean it. From asking the owner to "how do I make this at home" to practically wanting to order another bowl. And, don't get me started on their homemade foccacia bread that came with it. Every dunk of this bread into the luscious soup had me craving more and more. Best part, I was actually full. Hallelujah! All I have to say is head to Jinny's for their pizza, but don't forget they have a whole menu to choose from as well. And, everything tastes great and is nice and fresh. You will definitely stay awhile eating and drinking here at this cozy spot. Cheers~

One of the very best pizza spots in and around Newton!…read more The dough is amazing. It's soft and pillowy, just how I like my crust. Everything is fired in a wood oven, that you can get a full view of in the open concept kitchen. Seating is pretty limited, but in the summer there are a few outdoor tables. It's a great spot for take out as well, although parking can be a challenge at peak times. The pizza is a smaller size and runs north of $20. It's worth it, but more for the artisan pizza taste and quality. This likely isn't the place you're going to buy 10 pizzas for the SuperBowl, but if you're looking for high quality ingredients and the perfect dough, this is your spot. The available specialty pizzas are great combinations of flavors. I think they even do one with pineapple, as controversial as that is for some people. I saw the Rosso Pie online, but not on the menu when I went to dine-in. The friendly waiter was more than happy to request it for me from the kitchen. Sometimes I like a pie with no cheese on it. Difficult to find great pizza in MA, but this place fits the bill. Great pizza, great people.
