Probably some of the best pizza shops around. When my wife is around the area during her errands, she always makes sure to stop by here to get something for dinner. Low key, their gyro is so good. Buffalo tenders are highly recommended. Buffalo calzone (2 sizes) are amazing. Steak and cheese is not bad! Our last visit I opted for one their pasta and it was AMAZING. This place has improved a bit from what they used to be. What's nice is that they offer free chips with a sub/sandwich. Unfortunately those chips are Lays which are overly salty and oily. That's only a side part, the main part is that while their subs are large and you get a great value for what you pay - especially for the generous about of meat they add - their subs are average in taste. The meats aren't marinated well enough or tender enough. Also, when you stuff a sub so much, the fillings fall out and get messy. Rather have a sub be delicious and smaller. For those that are hungry, this way they can order another one and it's a win-win. read more

I was forced to let the horns of agitated midday drivers and bustling pedestrians score this juxtaposed soundtrack. But, the story my tastebuds were experiencing was some filled with much more serenity. Is that a hint of clove in the pepperoni? It's so crispy and rendered yet there is no excess of grease on the pizza. The crust was a smidge burnt ok negl to u but by the time I reached the crust I did not care, for the preceding culinary experience was nothing short of excellence manifest and presented to thee in tangible form. Very few pizza places in Boston get this much glaze from me. It's like Ziggy's, Umberto's, Santarpio's and now LPK. A slice that made me stop in my tracks and sit down. A cute corner pizza shop that is open on Sundays in Brighton Center! Hallelujah! Believe it or not, it's becoming hard to find a go-to pizza place that's open on Sundays around my neighborhood. Little Pizza King came in clutch for my sister's birthday party. They deliver on time, they are very friendly, and I've never actually eaten inside, but the takeout is easy peasy. I'm a huge fan of their pepperoni pizza. Very crisp and crunchy. The pieces of pepperoni have the slightest bit of curve to them with a dark flaky rim (not in a way that's burnt and overcooked, but instead perfectly crispy roni). Parking is the luck of the draw in Brighton Center. Depending on the time of day, there could be spots out front but then again, parallel parking at rush hour can be super tough in Brighton Center. LPK is a new pizza place in my rotation for sure! read more

My family and I were craving pizza, so we decided to order take-out from this place. We ordered a large King's Special Pizza and Cajun fries on the side. The pizza was alright. I really enjoyed the variety of toppings on the pizza as I like a mix of meat and vegetables present. Although the broccoli and tomato made the pizza slightly watery, it did not affect the crust, which made me happy. Out of all the toppings, I most enjoyed the hamburger meat as it was flavorful and yummy. The Cajun fries, however, were disappointing. The seasoning was highly concentrated on only one side of each fry, making it salty and overly flavorful. While I enjoyed the texture and size of each fry, the seasoning made it tiring to eat. I could not stomach eating it and honestly would have just preferred plain fries. Overall, the pizza from this spot was solid, so I will order from here again if I have any cravings. I would avoid the Cajun fries, though, and opt for plain fries next time. I will give this spot 3.5 stars but rounded up to 4 for this review. read more

***DOES NOT HONOR THEIR OWN COUPONS*** I'll start this out just by saying that I don't leave reviews, whether the food is good or bad I just go on my way, but this is a different situation. This place usually sends out pretty decent coupons in their email blasts, like a free piece of cake, or 10% off, or whatever. But this past Tuesday they sent out a coupon for $10 off. Now that's a great deal, but not so fast. Like the saying goes, if it's too good to be true... So Friday night comes around, I go to the site, place my order, enter the code, and it comes up as invalid. Okay, maybe it's a zero instead of an "O", or vice versa, so I copy the code instead of typing it in, but still nothing. Alright it's just a glitch I think to myself, I'll just call it in and deal with it at the place. So I arrive, tell the guy at the counter I have a coupon, and he doesn't know what to do. He gets another guy, and he tells me it's not in the system, and tells me maybe it's just for online orders. So I tell him my side of the story, and nothing. The best he can do is tell the owner. I explain to him it's in the email, directly from LITTLE PIZZA KING, but there's nothing he can do. And I get that, I know the guys working the register don't have the power to override the system and grant $10 coupons. So I pay and leave, because I'm not about to return home without a pizza and disappoint my kids. But WTF... I mean c'mon, if it was a mistake and you didn't mean to send that coupon out then it's up to you to send out multiple emails apologizing, and explaining an invalid coupon was sent. You can't just pretend you never sent it. I even told the guys working the counter there's no way I'm the first person coming in trying to use this coupon, but they wouldn't acknowledge it. All in all this is just poor business practice. I mean even Michael Scott had to honor the 5 golden tickets he accidentally sent to Blue Cross of Pennsylvania, but you couldn't come up with ten bucks? I've been ordering pizzas and subs from LPK for 25 years. It's the best pizza in Brighton--believe me, I've tried 'em all, which is why I always order from LPK. Recently, I spread out my orders--I tried their cobb salad. I wasn't expecting much, but WOW--it was a first class salad. A real cobb salad, not just a dish of iceberg with a few bacon bits. I'm definitely ordering it again. I also ordered onion rings recently, and I was expecting standard frozen onion rings heated up, but they were the real deal. Someone made my onion rings. I really wish I liked Little Pizza King since it's so close to my house, but I just don't. I've been going here for at least five years now when I'm desperate, so maybe 10 times total? However, the quality, service, and prices just aren't there. When I first moved to Brighton five years ago I got pizza from here and it was really good! Especially the one with Mozzarella Balls but according to their website that pizza is now $19. I loved it because it tasted like cheap pizza, absolutely not worth that cost. I've gotten a couple of subs from there and they definitely skimp on every single topping and the quality is not there. For a $10-$12 sub you just expect more and I'm left feeling hungry. Looking at their website for prices now it just astounds me that they're still in business considering how overpriced they are. Plus they close at 10PM so if you're hungry later than that you'll have to find somewhere else. With so many pizza and sub shops in the area, look elsewhere. read more

I had this place years ago and had a terrible terrible time multiple times but idk what happened.... now the food is amazing. The steak and cheese... tastes like heaven. I hands down think it's the best one in all of Brighton and Allston. They modify it how ya want and haven't messed it up. No overly greasy but perfect for dinner or a hangover. The tacos remind me of jack in the box tacos from back home I. California. It's more nostalgic then anything and if you're from Cali you'll totally understand. The delivery is now so quick! Called in for a small pizza and app pick up. Was told 30 mins over the phone. Arrived at the 30 min mark and was then told an additional 15 mins. I ended up waiting for an hour and 15 mins only to find out they lost my small pizza. I requested for a refund for my small pizza, but was offered several stale slices on the counter. I LOVE pizza and always have. It's tough to find a pizza joint that pleases me thoroughly. What I mean by that is that the crust does not come out too thick/thin and does not taste like it never went into the oven, the tomato sauce has enough flavor to stand its ground between the cheese and dough (and obviously the oven), and the cheese doesn't overpower EVERYTHING. The crust was had a snap when u bit into it but it didnt require excessive chewing. The tomato sauce was still "wet" and not dry like other places after it goes through the oven. The tomatos made the pizza feel "light" and it somehow made us believe that the pizza was a nice "healthy" choice. The PaPa Johns on Washington St. will NEVER get my business again. I recently moved into the neighborhood and stumbled upon this place. I wasn't diggin' pizza at the moment; instead, I ordered the tuna club sandwich with fries. I figured I needed some heavy sustenance from all that moving, heavy lifting, and driving for 8 long hours. Right on Little Pizza King, you keep doin you. So, since moving to Brighton about a year ago hub and I have been on the lookout for a solid pizza joint. You know, your go-to place to order pizza when you don't feel like cooking, either cause you're tired or lazy. Well, we've tried place after place after place and it's all been very middle to low thermometer. Pies were tasty but soggy, or good looking but flavorless, or disgusting looking but tasted ok. God what a mistake! Don't get me wrong, their pizzas average about a 4.3, maybe a 4.5. But they're consistently a 4.3, not 3.8 one day and 2.8 the next. Best place for a calzone in Brighton! My favorite order is the Buffalo chicken calzone with chicken florentine with ziti noodles. If you love pizza crust, you'll love their calzones. The dough they use is just like pizza crust and is so yummy! The flavor and consistency is incredible. Consistency is the best part about this place. Every time I order, it's the exact same awesome customer service. The staff is kind and fast. If you love cheese, the chicken florentine will make your stomach so happy.
