They advertise as being a 10-Minute Oil Change, but Chris and Tyler were extremely efficient and completely serviced my car and changed the oil in even less time than that. My wife and I live in Cross Village and always use this location if we need an oil change and are in Petoskey or the area. The service is always great, but the service provided today by Chris and Tyler was exceptional. In addition to potential customers, I hope the owner of this oil change facility reads this review and give them the pat on the back they deserve.

A nice young man explains the oil differences and pricing. So, I ask if they have a combo package of oil change/car wash. "Sir, I'm washing your car for free with today's service!" Within 10-15 minutes he's taking my payment and handing me an exiting packet. Car is clean, check engine light gone, this will score major points with Mrs. E!!!! An hour later I pick her up from work...she didn't notice a thing. Oh well, not only did I get a much needed oil change, my fluids were topped off, they inspected filters, tested the signals and lights, checked tire pressure and washed the car for under $100 (including tip). It's an automated wash with no detailing but we just needed to get "The Beast" (2018 Nissan Armada) presentable. And for only $8 why not give it a try. The employees were friendly and efficient, the wash was great and didn't bend our mirrors out. At the end of the dry, two young guys came out and gave a quick once over with a towel. The cost was reasonable and was what I expected (having done this repair myself on other cars). He was conscientious and professional, and his communication was outstanding. He provided regular updates each step of the process so I was never wondering what was happening. He has recently taken over this business so the older reviews are not relevant. The nearest service station is 10 miles away, down a winding road with narrow shoulders and a speed limit of 25 mph, without the rain pouring down. Baby decides now is also a great time to start crying and get a cold. Welcome to my experience this past September weekend. What should have been a restful communion with the outdoors in Northern Michigan turned into a harrowing, stressful time. After AAA towed my car to dry out at the hotel, and I left my husband to comfort the baby, I took my limping vehicle into town in search of anyone who might diagnose the OED 2 code. I didn't have the handheld reader with me and I direly needed to know whether my car's check engine light was the result of something minor -- say, a misfiring piston -- or something serious to justify staying another night in town. I came upon M&M Services after driving slowly to get an oil change elsewhere. Their Open sign glowed like a beacon. I pulled in to find a young man in the office, one bay occupied with the garage door down, and their hours boldly displaying they were open for another hour yet. Prayers for resolution answered? I explained my situation and asked if he could hook my car up to a OED reader. Advanced Auto Parts, Napa, Carquest, and other car parts stores with complementary reader services all shut an hour and a half before. There wasn't a dealership in Petoskey or Harbour Springs to help, and I couldn't trust taking the car an hour away into Traverse City. M&M had every ability to help ease my mind. "Are you from around here?" asked the kid. "No, I'm on vacation. We drove up. I am in a tight situation," I said. I should have shut my trap and nodded. "Can't help you." What?! You're open. You have a mechanic. I am not asking for anything untoward, I could hook the cable up to the OED2 port myself for all it mattered. He gave me the most uncaring look and went back to his desk, staring off into space. You are an auto shop. You are open. There are no other customers and I showed up an hour before the stated closing time. No one was working on a vehicle. It was a very simple request I was willing to pay for, if only to get a better idea of the diagnostic code. It turned out to be Cylinder 1 misfiring due to water getting into it, a simple fix by removing the spark plug. I found that out at O'Reilly's in Detroit -- something that took literally about 8 seconds to read. The non-existent customer service during a small crisis was disgusting.

Came down and had the absolute friendliest service I've ever had. He topped me off and even put some rain-x on my windshield as my wipers are broken atm. Checked my tire pressure too!! I will be bringing my vehicle to Performance Plus Quick Lube of Charlevoix and Dan from here on out for my oil changes and top offs. Cannot speak highly enough of them. Thank you!

They assured me they knew and would add the proper amount of oil. I was charged for the extra oil, which was fine because it was needed. I asked the tech, Daniel, if my engine looked like it was burning or leaking any oil. He stated "no" my engine looked good. HOWEVER, with 51% of my oil life not used, my oil light came on. I was back in the Chicagoland area and went to my regular dealer. When they checked my car it had less than 2 quarts of oil left in it. I again had the engine checked and there were NO signs of it leaking or burning oil. When I came back to Charlevoix I spoke with Daniel again. He said my car is known for burning oil. I pointed out the only time it happens is when I need to go to a quick oil change place like his. He looked at my receipts and saw the other place used the same type of oil as they did. When I asked if my regular dearer used magic oil, he did not have a response other than my car must be burning oil despite no one including him being able to see it. I have owned this car for four years and this is only the second time it has been low on oil, and both times I needed to get the oil changed at a quick oil change location. There was no offer to correct the mistake or to credit a future service. Needless to say I will never go back here again and would not recommend it to anyone, especially people from out of town.

Absolutely do not recommend taking your car here fuck I wouldn't even take my damn lawn mower here
