    Frozen crap for $32.
    Laird Y.

O.M.G. I just paid $32 for a Grubhub delivery of frozen crap and lies. A.) that is NOT halibut. I'm a chef, and not everyone who lives in mid-NE is an idiot. That is Gorton's straight from the freezer bag pollock, or maybe tilapia. Freezer bag steak fries (that actually TASTE like freezer, and a glorified piece of (maybe) Franz white bread. I am SOOOO pissed!! There were more fries than in the photo x2. Still a disgusting ripoff. God forbid you order a steak from here!

The bartenders are amazing! It's a great place to hang for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Or just drinks. Lots of room, booths, tables and the bar.

Tater was only thing worth eating.

Loved that is was a dicey looking hole in the wall and had some high hopes. Alas the salad wasn't crisp and fresh, limp and cool only, the simple iceberg should have been tossed out ... The frozen veggie medley was a soggy mess of microwave veggies that still had many cold spots. The baked potato (loaded) was awesome and could have been phenomenal but the butter packets provided were frozen rocks. Sadly that only leave the ribeye left to discuss...rare is how I like it and I prefer it to be seasoned properly with a great seat on both sides. This slab of meat was not even close to seared so none of the fat was melted and cook is likely still wondering why he has seasoning left in the kitchen cause it didn't make it on my steak. Won't be back unless it's for drinking only. Server was nice.

Ok... it's the little things... got mom bday lunch today to go...she got the roast beef with mashed potatoes and vegetables.. no mushrooms or olives in it......I got the shrimp and tater tots.. and salad.. no mushrooms or olives.. got the cocktail sauce for shrimp. With a mushroom slice and a black olive.. OMG.. was this someone else's before me???.. ick.. ... Ive worked in the industry... it's not ok.. it would be like getting pb in your mocha and you say it's ok... noooo

STAY AWAY!!!! Ordered a rib eye medium well. Foods terrible. No flavor, tough and chewy. Picture proves it. Really frustrated. Spent $50 total for food only to get cold beef-jerky-like steak.

This place was recommended to us by the front desk person at the hotel we were staying at. It is a little hole in the wall establishment. Very little parking out front so head out back and pick a spot. Enter at the rear at the "saloon" entrance. You have to walk past the Bar area to get to the restaurant. It has been decorated as a sports bar and they had several TVs set to various sorts channels. The waitress was quick to greet us and was very friendly and helpful. The food arrived quickly and our steaks were cooked exactly as we had asked for them. If you are looking for a high class steakhouse that will break your bank, this isn't it. This is a local hole in the wall sports bar and Grill that gives you good food at a fair price. We will be back.

UPDATED. After a fresh remodel - Spring 2009 - Bill's was clean, and no longer on the edge of tacky. A friend staying at my house to work on my Electric Car became a BIG fan of their free WiFi and CHEAP Tuesday Breakfast. I joined him several times and was impressed. The central wall is down, and pool tables added, so Bills is now a casual Sports Bar with amenities - comfy cafe seating - and full Menu. Sad to say, since the remodel year the staff quality has gone down WAY too much to want to return. A few inebriated regulars consume all their attention, and what is advertised as a Taco Tuesday - WASN'T happening ** 3x ** I dropped in with a friend...so I won't try that again. Sometimes this crew even forgets to unlock the Front Door in the mornings. I wouldn't mention it if it hadn't happened SEVERAL times. Regulars park around back...so you can try to find you way in that way, but it's sadly, now no guarantee of service within 10 minutes. Dining tastes better when your Servers and Cooks are protected by a Union Contract. This has long been a reliable place for a traditional Breakfast , served by charming, experienced workers who have been in the biz here for years, and who aren't a bit impressed by trendy newcomers...and who might even call you honey. Not anymore. Ample parking, and accessible. If your plane is late at the nearby PDX, you can hop on Red Line MAX to Parkrose Transit Center and stroll east over to Bill's, for a bit of excercise, a Brew, and bite to eat - while you await your flight. It's just a couple blocks east of the Parkrose Bus Mall/Airport MAX Park and Ride. The #15, 71 and 12 buses stop here on Sandy, so it's easy to get your Steak and Eggs at Bills. I usually order a Cajun, or a Denver Omelette. Funny how the Denver is still a favorite all over the Western States, no matter how fancy food gets. Bill's has it, so come home for breakfast. Afterward maybe stop in at Better Bargains Thrift, where I really have gotten BETTER Bargains than you can get at Goodwill stores. (see my detailed BB review here on Yelp) Bill's dishes out all-American Fare, which i WISH was still served by friendly folks, Members of HERE Local 9. I remember once supporting Workers when they renegotiated their Contract, with a Sip In...in which we filled tables all day and tipped nice, but ordered no food, until their Contract was signed. This whole street has good food and businesses of interest - maybe check out the other spots till I update this with an IMPROVED SERVICE note. The 2008 Classic Car Rally transforms this end of Sandy and with the Farmers Market and Retro feel this area finally made sense to many. Bill's has a full bar (and separate Oregon Lottery area) for those who are so inclined. Better than sitting in traffic - and right off 2 freeways, so stop in to escape the freeway during peak hours. Don't be shy - Holler for a Staffer if necessary. Enjoy some grub, and Tip nice.

We visited in March 2026 & found the place had declined significantly. Steak was cold and chewy, the table was dirty.

My brothers girlfriend and I shared some chicken tenders and my mom and dad shared a club sandwich and a caesar salad, which I stole some bites of, and my brother went with a burger. All great easy things to eat after the flight and to keep us full before heading to a big dinner. In fact, the very first time we went to that location, it was called 'Sir Loins'! His grandparents used to take us there, and after Sir Loins, we went back once, but were not happy with their steak. Years later, we'll give them another chance. Hubby ordered a glass of Merlot, and said it was excellent. For his meal, he ordered the Surf and Turf, which was an 8 ounce sirloin steak and large fried shrimp. As his side, he ordered the loaded baked potato. A green salad was also ordered. We were quite frankly blown away by the food. The steak was cooked exactly as requested and was as tender as could be. The potato was hot and loaded, and came with additional butter, sour cream and green onions to add on. Toasted cheese bread was on the plate. The salad with ranch dressing was just fine too. All that for a very reasonable price. Service was quick and friendly. The vibe of the pub was friendly as well. I got Rueben Sandwich with fries. We shared the salad, above. The sauerkraut with my Rueben was far more better than one I had recently! Half of everything, was set for another meal.

It's on Sandy between 102nd and 122nd. The building is set back so you don't really notice it, however it has a big sign and huge parking lot. For quite a while I thought it was boarded up and closed. Nope just the neighborhood. I first ventured in to KB because I was looking to drink without the prying ears of my coworkers. I am glad I did. First night I met World Class Bartender Eileen. She makes this place work. I return because of her. What makes this place special is that everyone just does their own thing. The video poker folks just spend their money and are chill. The bigger groups just drink and eat and are chill. The tweakers are managed and treated fairly. We all have a place at KB's. People police themselves. I appreciated the fact that Eileen made sure to have the beer I liked on ice, that they brought in some new choices and that every time I showed up - the bartenders were in a good mood. There was no bitching or whining, the Bartenders were doing their job, serving their customers. I like that. Their steak bites are bomb and if the right cook is there their nachos are layered and so worth it. This place is old Portland ... before Covid before the entitled before too tight tees before man buns KB is the place to go when you just want to hang out, without it having to be a scene.
