Open mic night was good. Wish they had more drink specials. Under new management, still working the kinks.

Visited on Sunday before ST Patty's. Went to see Piper Dream to see Coryanne with her bag pipes!…read more Excellent music and dance area. Decided to have Irish food since that was the menu for the night. My friend had the shepherds pie and it was HORRIBLE. If you could find a carrot you were lucky never mind any of the other veggies. The potatoes were little scoops plopped around the top, no cheese. Bland and horrible. Worse Shepherds Pie ever. I had the corned beef reuben and the corned beef looked like scraps that should have been used on nachos instead of a sandwich. There were some strips of CB with sauerkraut and the swiss made the rest of the sandwich OK. Would go back for the music but would not have food here. Waitresses were not as attentive as they should have been as we had empty glasses of Guiness and needed refills and had to wait along time to get them to swing by. Excuse twice was the Guiness kicked? I can see 1 time, but not 2 in a short time. If you want authentic Irish fare go somewhere else.

Went to check out a band here. It's a big place really nice great venue for a band. We ordered…read morequesadillas, nachos, and wings, standard pub fare. The Irish quesadillas were fantastic! Love the corn beef and cabbage inside. Regular nachos were OK, they were missing key elements of nachos. No jalapeños, no salsa, no guac. Pretty lackluster. The wings were good, we had two different types smothered in the sauces. Wings were also very good and the waitress was really nice and accommodating.

I made the tactical error of visiting Rosy Tomorrow's for a work meeting…read more Not because the meeting was bad, but because this place clearly deserves a version of me who is off the clock, has nowhere else to be, and is prepared to make several questionable menu decisions. The atmosphere is fantastic. The people, energy, truly one of a kind décor, and wonderfully unconventional menu all make the experience feel like much more than lunch. The staff was amazing, the food was very good, and the portions were generous. One wrap at our table looked like it may have missed a growth spurt, but everything else arrived ready to feed actual adults. One important logistical note: If you are especially well hydrated, choose your seat strategically. The restroom is on the bottom floor, and getting there may qualify as the day's cardio. I left with two strong conclusions: First, I really like this place. Second, conducting a work meeting here was like going to an amusement park to discuss spreadsheets. I cannot wait to return in a more appropriately fun frame of mind and work my way through everything I wanted to order but couldn't reasonably explain on an expense report. Consider this the preliminary review. The full investigation will require another visit, several friends, and absolutely no agenda.

In Danbury we stopped by Square One for lunch. We were all pretty hungry by the time we arrived…read more It wasn't very busy when we were here, it might get more popular during the evening hours. The bar area seemed fun, with the string lights and their cocktails seem like the reason to return. On this occasion we all got mocktails, it was hot and the drive home was long. I typically don't do mocktails, but this one tasted like the real thing. It was only $6, many places charge around $10. For my meal, I got the fish tacos. These came with three corn tortillas, filled with grilled cod, avocado and slaw. On the side there was rice and beans. This was so filling, fresh and tasty! I also enjoyed the rice and beans. I could've had just two tacos, but I had all three. Our waitress was fast and efficient. Everyone else was happy with their meals. The restroom featured just one stall. It is a bit confusing to me, that a not so small establishment would have just one restroom. Aside from the restroom, the food was very tasty. I would return here again.

There was a bar tender and 3 waitresses. We ordered and sat waiting for our drinks? Then the appetizer was delivered at same time as lunch....really? After food was delivered we didn't see our waitress again, the bar tender left and someone else took over the bar. She was so busy chatting up the now 3 people at the bar she never glanced over at our table. We had an empty pint glass and empty bottle at end of table signaling for drink refills but that went unanswered. After waiting about 15 minutes I decided our waitress must be on break and forgot to let the bartender know? Another couple had been seated behind us and I heard them complaining some of the food wasn't hot and where was our waitress After 20 minutes unattended I stepped up to bar and asked for the check Poor service is inexcusable when a place isn't busy!!! Won't be coming back Shame as menu seemed to have good selections

But for a pub, this is rather upscale in…read moreambiance, and there were more pescatarian options than usual, so we had a very nice dinner overlooking the beautiful lake (but indoors on a very hot day, comfy in the A.C. but not freezing). My husband and one of the other couple each had a glass of wine. The other half of that couple and I shared a Guinness ( he was driving, and I'm just a lightweight drinker!) - a full pint was served (draught, perfect pour) with an extra glass as requested and I did a good job pouring without spilling any! The 4 of us shared a goat cheese flatbread to start. It came cut into 4 pieces, helpfully, but they were quite unevenly split, fwiw. We were fine, but got a chuckle out of 1 large piece and one really small piece, with the other two more or less the same. Anyway, it was tasty. One had the brisket sandwich and he was very pleased with it. His wife had a veggie burger with tater tot's; I had to taste one (shades of my much younger years!), still perfectly salty and crunchy. My husband had the veggie burger with sweet potato fries, and of course I snatched a couple of those as well, yum! I really liked my shrimp tacos; I thought each one (2 to the serving) had ample shrimp well-seasoned. I chose a side salad instead of fries and it was a good-size portion with dressing on the side as requested. Service was very good, food and atmosphere lovely. Unexpectedly good for what I was expecting from a pub in a suburb - exurb? - far from home. It was plenty crowded on that random Tuesday, so obviously folks in the area know it.
